Crafty Gals Corner Challenge # 235 Signs of Fall

Hello Crafty Friends,

The weather is finally cooling down in Southern California. I can see Fall on the horizon. As I colored this card, I was thinking about the cooler weather and all the sights, smells and sounds I look forward to in the coming weeks.

I got to color this adorable stamp from Crafty Sentiments Designs, titled Amy Looking in.  Isn't she just adorable?

Here is the card I created:

I colored the image with my copics:

Skin: E33, E13, E11, E21

Hair: E59, E08, E35

Shirt: E09, E03, E13, TR27, YR68, YR15

Pants: W3, B99, B97, B93, B91

Shoes: E29, E25, E23, E21

I used pattern paper from Photoplay's Fall Breeze collection.

The sentiment is from Spellbinders.

I hope you are excited to create your own project and share it with us at Crafty Gals Corner.  Please leave me a comment also.

Mix it Up! Optional Smooshing Technique

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Mix it Up, where anything goes, but the optional twist is to do the smooshing technique. I have not done this technique very many times, so I was excited to get my fingers dirty.

I started by creating the background with the following:

Using a large block, with the two Distress Oxides and some water, I created the background.  I then die cut the "Happy Birthday" from Lawn Fawn from a red and from a grey cardstock and adhered it to the background.

I finished the card by adding some "Tiny Birthday Friends" colored with my Copics to the card.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Merry Little Christmas.  We always challenge you to make Christmas cards. In Southern California we are melting with temperatures up to 110 degrees in some areas.  It is hard to think about the cold snow of Christmas, but getting one more card done is great.

I created this card using a retired Stampin' Up stamp set.  I loved this stamp set because of the door and how welcoming this would be to walk up to.

For the pattern paper I used a piece from a Recollections pad I got at Michael's.  I used my colored pencils to color the greenery.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment on a small piece of white cardstock and then added a black twine bow and added it to the "sign".

Love to Craft Challenge- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today at Love to Craft Challenge Blog we have a new month. I don't know about you, but I am ready for summer to be over, but before we bid it a farewell, I want to share a card I created for a Tropical theme swap I was involved in recently.

I created the base of the card using pattern paper from Recollections.  I then stamped the images from Fun Stampers Journey (retired) with green ink for the leaves and a light grey for the flowers.  I die cut them out with the matching die set.

After the flowers were cut out, I added some yellow and orange ink to the middle of the flowers to match the ones in the pattern paper.  The sentiment from Doodlebug Designs was stamped with black ink.

Thank you for stopping by,  Please leave me a comment. Then join the challenge at Love to Craft Challenge blog where we always have an anything goes theme.

Crafty Gals Corner - Challenge # 234 - Lazy Days of Summer

Hello Crafty Friends,

We are in the dog days of summer and we are roasting here in Southern California. I am lucky to be able to work from home in the air conditioner. I hope you are keeping cool where ever you are too.

Our theme this month is the Lazy Days of Summer. Summer is over for me, but I can still dream about what I would like to be doing.

I received this cute "Camping is fun" digital stamp from Pattie Creations to create a card.

Here is the card I created.

I used my Copics to color the image.

Camper: YR09, YR16, YR15

Door and Banner: BG49, BG15

Curtains: G24

Trailer hitch and metal pieces: C7, C5, C3

I then paired the image with "Happy Camper" paper from Doodlebug Designs.

I created a Z fold card.  Here is a look at the inside.

I hope you have found a spark of inspiration and will join the challenge at Crafty Gals Corner and share your summer project.  Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Crafty Gals Corner- Challenge #233- Christmas in July

Hello Crafty Friends,

It's July and why not play with some Christmas images?  I love Christmas, so to me it was a treat to pull out that Christmas paper and design a card using the sweet "Finn's Hot Chocolate" digital stamp from Beccy's Place.

I pulled out my Copics and Christmas paper from Carta Bella and got to work. Here is the card I created.

I colored "Finn" with the following Copics:

Body: 100, C9, C7, C5, C3, C1 and C00.

Beak: YR16, YR15

Socks: R59, R46

Mug: G29, G28, G24

The sentiment "happiness is hot chocolate" came with the digital stamp.

I created a simple layout with the pattern paper and attached some pearls to finish the card.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am so excited to be joining the Merry Little Christmas Design Team as well.  I love all things Christmas, so being able to create Christmas cards throughout the year will be so much fun.

So let's get started with my first Christmas card in July...

This card was created using the Holiday Jars die set from Queen and Company. I bought the kit last year and I am just getting around to use it.

Everything on the card was included in the kit, except the scallop die I used for behind the jar (Fun Stampers Journey-retired) and the white card stock for the scallop and the sentiment strip.  I used some "faux" snow from Dollar Tree to put in the jar.

I love making shakers and Christmas is a great reason to make cute shaker cards.
