Happy Birthday Butterfly

Hello Crafty Friends,

Birthday cards are always fun to create.  Birthday cards for kids are even more fun to make.  I recently bought this Lawn Fawn set and saw this idea on Pinterest.  I knew I needed to create this.

The card base is created with Tangerine Fusion Cardstock and pattern paper from Fun Stampers Journey.
I stamped the elephants and colored them with my colored pencils.
The sentiment is stamped from a set from Spellbinders with Black Licorice ink.

Simple card, but a fun card to send to the next kid's birthday.

Bitten by the Bug 2: Summer Fun

Hello Crafty Friends,

Summer is coming to a close for many families as the kids go back to school, virtually or in-person.  Summer has been a great time to have a break from school.  But summer, can also be full of fun activities, even though this year has been quite different.
As a kid, I remember having lemonade stands in the summer to not only earn money, but also to drink lemonade, which is so good in the summer.

So, my project for summer fun is a lemonade stand box card.

The file I used is from My Scrap Chick.  I cut everything out of cardstock from my stash.

Here are some more close up pictures.

To make the lemons and lemonade realistic, I added some Fun Stampers Journey Journey Glaze to the tops.

I hope you have found inspiration on my blog.  Come join the fun at Bitten By the Bug 2 with your own creations here.

The card base is created with cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey, Brown cardstock from Sizzix and pattern paper from my stash.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

August 1st!  Can you believe it? Where did July go?  The first brings a new challenge to Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Today, I would like to share with you a card I found on Pinterest that I thought was unique and fun.  It is called a Pinwheel card.

So, as you can see, the folded pattern paper makes a pinwheel shape on the front.

The inside looks like this.

I used pattern paper and cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then stamped the sentiments, stamps from Spellbinders, with Black Licorice Ink from Fun Stampers Journey.

Here is where I got the pattern.

I hope you will try it.  It is quite easy and fun too.

I'd be lost without you

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a fun card to share with you.  I got the original layout on Pinterest, but after seeing the card, I had to buy this set and create my own card.

I few firsts for me on this card.  First, this is my first slimline card.  I love all the extra space this card gives as well as the unique card you can make.  Second, I just received my first Distress Oxides and had to play with them on the sky area and the grassy areas.  I have to practice with these, but I can see many more ideas and techniques with these in the future.

The stamp set is Car Critters from Lawn Fawn.  The trees are from the Happy Village set, also from Lawn Fawn.
I created the road by cutting each side of a piece of River Stone Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Simple Way Border die.  I then die cut the Fun Stampers In Motion die down the middle for the "track".

I colored all the images with my Copics:
Car: R56, R37, R35, C5,C3, 100, B00, B000
Bears/tree trunks: E27, E23
Trees: YG67, YG17, YG03
Sun: Y15, Y13

I attached the car to a penny and then sandwiched a foam circle between the two pennies and placed them between the "track".

This is a fun interactive card for any age.

Summer Banner

Hello Crafty Friends,

The summer is coming to an end and I could not let it go without sharing my new summer banner.  I made one last year, but the surfboards started to fall apart, so I had to make a new one.

I did not put the letters "Summer" on this one because cut beach balls out for this banner.

I used Doodlebug Pattern paper to create the banner and then used my Cricut to cut out the big orange and pink flowers.
