Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend celebrating Easter with your family.  The past couple of days have been tough, hence why I have not posted in a while.  But, I am back.

Today I want to share one of the cards we made in my April Card Classes.

The card base is made from Cool Pool Cardstock with a layer of pattern paper I bought from Hobby Lobby.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Peony Blooms Stamp set, stamped with River Stone ink on Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then backed it with a piece of Cool Pool Cardstock.
Before I attached the sentiment, I die cut the Blooming Clusters from Sweet Pear Cardstock and attached it to the card.  I then adhered the sentiment to the card.

A simple card, but one that is very lovely.

All supplies, except the pattern paper, is from Fun Stampers Journey and can be purchased here.

Hello Crafty Friends,

Easter is this week and I have my banner I created with Doodlebug Designs paper and embellishments.
Here is a close up look at the individual eggs.

I cut the eggs and the letters with my Cricut.   I used some of the icons from the paper line as my end cap pieces.
I then added some paper flowers I had in my collection.
To finish the banner, I tied the pieces together with a light blue tulle.

Now on to the card I created for today:

I have been loving make shaker cards this month and today I have another one, but with a twist.  I made it into a double shaker card.

The card base is created with Whip Cream Cardstock and a piece of Create and Bloom Pattern Paper.  I then cut a square (the same size as the cloud icon inside) out of the front panel of the card.  I then built the shaker open from the back of the front panel.
If you have never made a shaker card before it is very fun.

The standard layers of a shaker card are:
1. cardstock
2.acetate
3. Foam squares or strips are easier
4. Add your "sprinkles"
5. Another piece of Cardstock.  In the case of this card, I used another piece of acetate.

When finished, I had something that looked like this:

I then added the square icon from Doodlebug inside the card.

To finish the card, I added the sentiment on the front stamped with Black Licorice on Pool Play cardstock.
I hope you will try this type of card soon.

Be sure to hop over to Shannon's Blog.

Here's our line up in case you get lost along the way.

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share another fruit card with you.

The card base is made from Whip Cream Cardstock and then a layer of Lemon Drop Cardstock.  I stamped some lemon slices from the Make Lemonade Stamp set with Lemon Drop ink onto the Lemon Drop Cardstock.
I then layered a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock that I cut into a banner and threaded a piece of Black Licorice Gingham Ribbon through the top.  I adhered this to the card using foam squares.
I then stamped the lemon and the lemon slice on Lemon Drop, Limeade Splash and Whip Cream Cardstock with Black Licorice ink and fussy cut them out and paper pieced them together.  I added them to  my card using foam squares.
I stamped the sentiment from Embroidered Greetings in Black Licorice Ink on the card front.
To finish the card, I added a strip of Black Licorice Sparkle Tape and a strip of Lemon Drop Sparkle Tape along the bottom.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey and can be purchased here.
