Halloween Treat Holder for Grand Event

A fun project to create was my Halloween treat holder.  I was to use a die that we sell, creatively.  I used the pocket die (DI-0003) in Rock Candy Cardstock (CS-0031).  I then trimmed one side of the die to match the other side, and folded it into a triangle shape.  I then made a bottom and attached it to the bottom.  Tada!  A tombstone treat holder!  Enjoy!
Other Supplies:
Cardstock: Butter Cream (CS-0006)
Ink: Black Licorice (IP-0041)
Journey Glaze (AD-0002 or AD-0003), Journey Sparkle Dust (AC-0013)
Copic Marker-orange

Thanksgiving Trade for Grand Event

Today, I am sharing another trade I did for our Grand Event.  For this pocket card, I tried something new.  Using our Doily Blooms stamp (SS-0031), I created the pumpkin at the bottom of the card.  I stamped the second biggest doily in Tangerine Fusion (IP-0005), three times.  I then cut out the middle part of the doilies.  Using different doily, I stamped in Lemon Grass ink (IP-0022), I cut one of the "petals" out to be used as the leaf.  A piece of Hazelnut Blend Cardstock (CS-0013), rolled up, is the stem.  Enjoy!
The other supplies I used were:
Cardstock: Oatmeal Cookie (CS-0023), Butter Cream (CS-0006)
Ink: Oatmeal Cookie (IP-0011), Orange Creamsicle (IP-0015), Hazelnut Blend (IP-0012)
Stamp Set: Give Thanks (SS-0041)
Journey Twine (AC-0005), Journey Glaze (AD-0003 or AD-0002), Journey Sparkle Dust (AC-0013)

Masculine Card for the Grand Event

This was probably my most favorite trade to create.  The requirements were to make a masculine card using a technique.  When asked to use a technique, I always try a new technique.  The technique I used on this card was faux canvas on the image pieces.
Using Journey Glaze, scribble a little glaze on the piece of paper.  Then take a toothbrush and brush it across the whole piece, going in one direction.  Repeat this process, going in the perpendicular direction.  That's how easy it is.  The toothbrush puts the strokes of a canvas and makes a great look.  Enjoy!

Cardstock: Blue Lagoon (CS-0004), Hazelnut Blend (CS-0013), Lemon Grass (CS-0019) and Butter Cream (CS-0006).
Ink: Blue Lagoon (IP-0002), Hazelnut Blend (IP-0012) and Black Licorice (IP-0041)
Journey Twine (AC-0005)

FooFoo Card trade for Grand Event

When I think of FooFoo I think of lots go girly colors with lots of fibers and details.  My card for another trade at the Grand Event for Fun Stampers Journey was no exceptions.
Here is what I used to make this beautiful card.  I used Whip Cream (CS-0040) cardstock for the base of the card and the top layer.  The next layers were made with Pretty Amethyst (CS-0028) and Beach Breeze (CS-0001) cardstock.  I used the Script Background stamp (SS-0069) for the top layer, stamped in Pretty Amethyst ink (IP-0018).  The tea cup and tea pot are from the Tea Time set (SS-0080) and stamped in Black Licorice ink (IP-0041).  I colored the images with colored pencils and then added Journey Glaze (AD-0003 or AD-0002) and Journey Sparkle Dust (AC-0013).  Adding a doily, ribbon, lace and some flowers and the card is a FooFoo card for a beautiful friend!  Enjoy!

Christmas Pocket Card Trade from the Grand Event

Today I want to share another trade I did for our Fun Stampers Journey Grand Event.  The trade was a Christmas pocket card.  I used the pocket die (DI-0003) in Fresh Forest (CS-0011).  I then cut cards to fit into the pockets out of Pomegranate Splash (CS-0027) and Buttercream (CS-0006) paper.  The holly and berries at the top and the candle centerpiece are from the Christmas Melody (SS-0023) and are stamped in Fresh Forest ink (IP-0013).  The words "Merry Christmas" are from Many Wishes (SS-0057).  Adding some coloring with my copics,  glitter paper, holly pattern paper, Journey Glaze and a glitter red tulle bow and the card is complete.
Enjoy!

Grand Event recap

Last weekend was the Grand Event for Fun Stampers Journey!  Wow is all I can say.  There was lots of demos, learning, laughs, friendships made and fun!  My mind is still swimming with the information I received and the ideas that were given.
One of the many highlights from the event was the trades.  I participated in all of the trades.  My favorite trade was the Gift Tag trade.  I had fun making my trade and got lots of great comments.  Here is what my trade was:
I used Whip Cream, Watermelon Fusion and Sweet Berry card stock from Fun Stampers Journey.  I cut  1 inch strips from each of the colors.  I then stapled the three stripes together to make the petals.  I then used large glue dots on a small circle of paper to put the flower together.  A banner and some flowers finished it off.  Enjoy!
