Happy Holidays

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have one last Christmas card to share.   This one was a fun one and another pretty simple one.

I stamped the snowy scene on white cardstock and placed this behind the window I die cut from Brown Cardstock.
I then die cut some boughs from the Concord and 9th die set from Green paper and tied a red gingham bow at the top.
To finish the card I added the sentiment, "Happy Holidays from our home to yours", at the bottom.

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas.

Stay Cozy

Hello Crafty Friends,

Only a few more days till Christmas.  Are you ready?  I am not in the way of gifts, but I am done with my cards.

Today I want to share pretty simple card, but worth the time.

I first started by die cutting many snowflakes.  I then glued each one to the card base, creating a unique white on white background.

I then stamped the cabin scene and used foam squares to attach the scene to the card.  I did the same thing with the sentiment.

To finish the card, I added Journey glaze to the sentiment and Journey Glaze and Glitter to the cabin roofs.

I hope you are staying cozy where ever you call home.

Season Greetings

Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe that Christmas is just one week away?  I hope you are getting ready and not too stressed.

Today I want to share with you a card that took me out of comfort zone.  I got the embossing powder out.

I first used the Birch Tree stamp and stamped it on to the Cool Pool cardstock with Clear Pigment ink.  I then used white embossing powder to make the image white.

I then stamped the deer from the Winter Holiday stamp set with Cocoa Powder on Oatmeal Cookie cardstock.  I fussy cut the deer out and added a red bakers twine bow to his antler.

I used a border die from Lawn Fawn to make the snow across the bottom.

I stamped the sentiment, Season's Greetings, from the Sparkle Trim stamp set, with Cocoa Powder ink.

To finish the card, I sprinkled Sparkle Silk over the card.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey.

Holiday Wishes

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a simple but cute card.  This card would be easy to duplicate in a hurry.

I thought this die set from Fun Stampers Journey went perfect with this pattern paper from Michael's.   The trees were dies cut from the different colors of cardstock.  Before pulling the pieces out, I placed foam squares on the back and then pulled them out.  You can see that the red one didn't keep the pieces inside, but the other two came out great.

The cardstock is from Fun Stampers Journey.

I then used the sentiment from Queen and Company's Sentiment Stacker set.

Home for the Holidays

Hello Crafty Friends,

I had so much fun creating this sweet card today.  I got to play with some new dies to me from Concord and 9th and Memory Box.

I die cut the staircase and the pine boughs from cardstock.  I then stamped and detail cut out the tree.

I added the rhinestones to the tree to add some "sparkle".

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey, except for the staircase and garland dies.

Did you know yesterday was Gingerbread House Day?  I love celebrating these fun days, so today's card is about gingerbread.

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we have a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.  The challenge this month is "Tis the Season".  This means you can create anything that has to do with Christmas.  We are also doing something fun this month.

We are having a blog hop to celebrate our 6th Blogiversary.  To start off the celebration, and to be eligible to win the sponsor prize, you'll have to visit each blog, leave some bloggie love, and collect a secret letter from each teamie.  At the end of the hop, return to the Crafty Gals Corner blog and leave a comment with the Secret Word!

Now on to my project for this month's challenge.  I got to play with this great image from Digi Doodle Studios.

This image was a challenge for me, but I love the way it came out.
I colored the image with my Copic markers:
Gingerbread: E08, E13
Chocolate: E57, E35, E33
Peppermints: YG67, YG17
Candy Cane and Heart: R46, R35
Bows and Cup: R46, R24

I then created the card using cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey, pattern paper from Michael's, a cupcake liner, twine and ribbon from Fun Stampers Journey and then little cookie cutter buttons.

I finished the card by adding some Journey Glaze and glitter to the cupcake frosting and just Journey Glaze to the peppermints.

I hope you will join us by creating something that celebrates all the festivities of the season.  You can join us here.   You also need my letter to make the secret word.  It is the letter we all strive for on a test.  We look for the perfect A!  Good Luck.

Merry and Bright

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you had a great weekend.  I had a wonderful Saturday crafting my friends and celebrating Christmas with them.

Today I have a card to share with you which was fun to create.

I first stamped the trees in green ink on the piece of white cardstock.  I then stamped the light bulb ends with grey ink on a scrap piece of paper and fussy cut them out.
I then added some gold star brads to the top of the trees and some red gems as ornaments for the trees.
I matted this on a piece of pattern paper  and then on a piece of red cardstock for the card base.
I finished the card by addng the sentiment with black ink and adding a white thread bow.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey except the pattern paper which is from Echo Park and the gold star brads and red gems, which were from my stash.

Colored Lights or White Lights?

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a card to ask the question, do you use colored lights or white lights on your tree?

I prefer the white lights because they seem so bright and sparkly.  What about you?

The card base is created with layers of cardstock and then I stamped the tree on the left side and the right side.  I then stamped the same tree on a different piece of Cardstock and detail cut the tree out.
I adhered the tree to the card with foam squares.
I then used rainbow drops from Fun Stampers Journey to the different areas of the tree.
To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment and then cut the ends into banner cuts and adhered it to the card.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey.

Christmas Trees

Hello Crafty Friends,

Christmas can not be celebrated without a Christmas tree.  I know some people have small trees or large trees.  Some have fake trees and real trees.  Whatever your preference,  I think Christmas trees are beautiful in all different colors and covered with snow.

Today's card is all about the tree.

I stamped the trees with three different colors of green ink onto the circle.   The lightest color on the circle, then a little bit darker on the one I adhered onto the circle.  The darkest color on adhered with foam squares on the top.

I stamped the sentiment with black ink and green ink.

To finish the card I added a few pearls to the card.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey, except the pattern paper which is from Echo Park.

Let it Snow Snowman

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope your new month is going well.   I am so glad it is December.  December is my favorite month with all the celebrating, colors, lights and smells.

I already have our tree up and the theme is always snowmen.

Today's card is one of my favorites this year.

I started by creating the snowflake background on the top half.  I then stamped the words three times towards the bottom.
The snowman is from Spellbinders and was fun to die cut and piece together.
I added a chevron border from cardstock and then a strip of silver scalloped washi tape.

All supplies are from Spellbinders and Fun Stampers Journey.

Love to Craft Challenge for December

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog and the theme is Anything Goes.  With it being the first day of December, I knew I wanted to share a Christmas Card.

I bought the card base die from a friend recently who was destashing.  I love unique card bases, so I knew I needed this die in my life.
The die is from Sizzix.  I paired the die set with a favorite stamp set from Lawn Fawn and I have a card which was a hit at my classes.
Ink and Cardstock are all from Fun Stampers Journey.

Come join the challenge with anything you are working on right now.
