Book Club Bookmark

I am a part of a great group of book club ladies.  We meet each month, or every other month to discuss a book that one of the members has chosen.  This month was mom's choice and we read "The Light Between Ocrans" by M.L. Stedman.  She asked me to make some bookmarks as a small gift to give to the ladies.  I chose to do a corner bookmark.

The base of the bookmark is a 3 inch corner of an envelope.  I then added some patterned paper on top, after I distressed the edges.  I used the sailboat from the stamp set "Lifesaver" from Fun Stampers Journey.  Enjoy!

Another Copic Class!

I have to share a new coloring project I did.  My friend, Nikki Turnour at Nikki's Creative Nook, taught another wonderful Copic class last Saturday.  When I first saw the card, I thought there was no way I could do that.  I am happy to announce, that I was able to do it and I am amazed!  It came out really good too.  The stamp is from La La Land, one of my favorite stamps for coloring.

Santa Clara Scrapbook Expo

Wow, what a weekend I had this past weekend.  I got to travel with the Journey Crew to the Santa Clara Scrapbook Expo.  What a great experience.  My job for the weekend was to teach a make and take featuring Richard Garay's Celebrations Line from Spellbinders.  Here is what the make it take was.
The crafters that stopped by were so impressed by the make and take, that when the weekend was over I had more than 60 people visit my table.  I had so much fun teaching this make and take.  I also got to meet some really neat people.
I noticed that there were a lot of kids with their families visiting and many of them stopped at my table.  Even kids like to craft!  This little girl named Mia was such a cutie.  She did such a good job with little to no help from her mom or me.
These two ladies were a joy to meet.  They are mute, but we were able to communicate pretty well.  They were so funny also!  One of the ladies asked Rose for a favor and when Rose came through, she was so appreciative.  She was all smiles.
It amazes me the amount of work it takes to set up each and every show.  Here is the before.
And in only a few hours, it looks like this.
It was an amazing weekend full of hard work, great fellowship, and great opportunities to meet new people and share my passion for papercrafting.  If you would like more information on Richard's product go to www.richardgaray.com or www.Spellbinders.com. Enjoy!

ATC trade for August

This month's theme for my ATC group was vintage.  I had fun creating this ATC using the Fun Stampers Journey stamp set, Bombshell.
I really like the way it turned out.  Enjoy!
