November Doll Tag

Today's post is another tag that I made for a friend in my secret friend event in ScrappinLadyz.  This tag was fun to make.  I knew I wanted to make the Julie Nutting doll into a scarecrow for November, because when I think of November, I think of the first Thanksgiving.  This also reminds me of farming, growing vegetables and the Indians teaching the Pilgrims how to farm.  I also think of all the blessings in my life in the month of November.
I used the Fun Stampers stamp set "Give Thanks" SS-0041 for the leaves at the bottom.  I also tried my hand at Copic coloring the pumpkin.  This tag screams harvest.  I hope she likes it.

October Doll Tag

Today, I want to share with you a tag I made for a friend.  I am participating in a secret friend event in my  ScrappinLadyz group and we are encouraged to only make things for our secret friend's this time around.  I decided early on that I would make a Julie Nutting doll tag for each month. My friend loves steampunk, so I created this steampunk Halloween doll tag for her.  Enjoy!

Birthday Banner

I have another banner to share with you today.  This banner was for a friend's son who was having a gamer birthday banner.  My only requirements were to make sure it had boy colors on it.  I like the way my friend hung it from her curtain rod at the different levels.  Enjoy!

Baseball Banner

Today I have another banner to share with you.  This was a fun project.  I cut out the white circles for behind the letters and then with a red marker, I drew in the baseball stitch lines.  The baseball players at each end of the banner were cut with the "Create a Friend" Cricut cartridge.

I finished it off, by tying the pieces together with baseball ribbon.  He just loved his banner!  Enjoy!

Apple Week Banner

Today I want to share with you a banner I made for a dear friend that every year, goes to Bakersfield to pick apples with her daughter and family.  We had been out shopping at our local scrapbook shop one day and she saw a banner just like this one.  She asked me if I could make one like it and I said yes.  After we found the apple paper she liked, I cut the apples with the Accu-cut die and Red card stock.  To make the banner hang well and be more durable, I always put a piece of chipboard between the pieces of card stock.
I ended up having to cut the red pieces for the letters because the Cricut cartridge that I used for the font would not cut the right proportion.
In the end, she loved it and that is all that matters!  Enjoy!

Altered Bottle Swap

A project I was a little nervous to do was a bottle for an altered bottle swap I participated in.  I did a little research online and I was ready to go.
The first step was to clean the bottle and make sure that it was good and dry.  For this project I used a Frappuccino bottle from Starbucks.  I liked the shape of the bottle and thought it would make a great vase.
Next, I covered the bottle with pieces of masking tape.   After making sure the bottle was good and covered, I took the Hazelnut Blend stamp pad from Fun Stampers Journey, directly to the bottle and covered the bottle with the ink.  Here is what it looked like after this step:
Adding some Prima flowers, resin pieces, ribbon, Fun Stampers Journey, Journey Twine and some love and my altered bottle was finished.  Here is the finished project.   Enjoy!  I know the person that received it was very happy!
