Hello Crafty Friends,

Well, Valentine's Day is over, so now it is time to start creating for St. Patrick's Day.  Today I have a card I created to send to someone I am lucky to know.

The clover was stamped using the "kissing technique".  First, you ink up the stamp and then before you stamp it, I used the small shamrock and took ink from the clover.  Then after I did each petal, I then stamped the clover onto the Whip Cream Cardstock.  You can faintly see the image of the little shamrock on the big clover petals.

This technique works well with a silhouette image.  Try it!

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Pot of Gold, I'm Lucky
Paper: Whip Cream Cardstock, Limeade Splash Cardstock
Ink: Kiwi Slice, Black Licorice
Silk: Gold
Accessories: Journey Sparkle Dust, Journey Glaze

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a birthday card I want to share with you.

I will be honest, it did not come out the way I had pictured it in my mind, but I still like it.

I created the flower using Crepe Paper and die cutting it from the Romance Flower die set.  I layered a large flower with a slightly smaller flower.  Once I had the flowers adhered to my card, I scrunched them up a bit.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Cake Time, Deco Dots ATS
Paper: Pool Play Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock, Beach Breeze Cardstock, Spring Crepes
Ink: Beach Breeze
Silk: Sparkle
Dies: Romantic Bloom, Border Basics
Accessories: Sparkle Drops, Pool Play Sparkle Tape

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share an one of a kind card I created for our dear friend.

First, there is a story behind the card.  Debbie is my mom's best friend and we have known her for over 30 years.  She comes to our house about every other week and she has come to love my little Princess.  In fact, when we say that "Auntie Debbie" is coming, Princess gets very excited.  So, for Debbie's birthday, I created this card:

I fell in love with this stamp from Fun Stampers Journey.  I loved it even more, when I could color it to look just like my baby.

Of course, Debbie loved it and there will never be one just like it.
I put another personal touch and had Princess "sign it".

I used my Journey Splash Colored Pencils and created a "pool" of color with water on a block.  I then dipped her paw into the color and used it as an ink pad.

Enjoy!

Supplies Used:
Stamp:  Pocket Pup, Cake Time
Paper: Whip Cream Cardstock, Bubble Gum Cardstock, Spring Filled Pattern Paper
Ink: Black Licorice
Silk: Sparkle
Dies:  Border Basics, Heart Film
Accessories:  Heart Sparkle Drops, Cool Pool Satin Ribbon, Whip Cream Thread,

2/15/18 Stampin Friends Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Image may contain: textWelcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop!  This month's theme is Birthday Bash.   If you are following along with the hop, you should have arrived from  Andrea's blog.

This month's theme was Birthday Bash.  I love to create special cards and projects for those I love on their birthday.  Today, I would like to share with you a card with a bag to match.

Up first, is the card I created.

I created the strip of flower pattern paper, by stamping the flower with Black Licorice ink onto the Whip Cream Cardstock.  When needed, I masked the leaves out, by using a post it note to cover that section, after inking up the stamp.

Now, for the bag.  I created the bag in the same manner as the card, just on a slightly bigger scale.

Don't the bag and card look good next to each other?  I can't to give this to a special someone.

I hope you have found inspiration with my card and projects.  Remember to continue on the hop for more inspiration by going to Sue's Blog next.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Hello Lovely, Cake Time
Paper: Black Licorice Cardstock, Watermelon Fusion Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock
Ink: Black Licorice,
Silk: Sparkle
Accessories: Journey Colored Buttons I, Black Licorice Twine, Whip Cream Sparkle Tape

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is the time for babies in the lives of my friends.  I have some many friends that are pregnant or have newborns.  With all these new babies, I had to create a baby card.  You will notice that I did it in a generic color because I wasn't quite sure who I was going to send it to.

I created the background with the ink and stamp, by randomly stamping the images all over the Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then added a piece of vellum by punching holes at the top and running ribbon through the holes.
I stamped the feet on a separate piece of Whip Cream Cardstock and die cut them out.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Baby Prints
Paper: Whip Cream Cardstock, Pineapple Smoothie Cardstock, Journey Vellum
Ink: Pineapple Smoothie, River Stone
Dies:  Baby Prints
Accessories:  Pineapple Smoothie Gingham Ribbon

To get the glittery hearts across the bottom of the card, I die cut the Heart Strip from Candy Apple Cardstock and then placed a piece of White Liner Sheet on a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock and attached the Heart Strip to the top.  I then added Journey Sparkle Dust to the hearts that were exposed!

2/7/18

Hello Crafty Friends,

We are well into February and it is all about love.  If you have been following me, I told you in a post last month that I would be creating more Doodlebug Banners this year.  I did not lie.  Today I am sharing my LOVE banner with you.

Here is a close up one of the letter pieces.  Notice the sparkly hearts?  I made those with Cardstock, White Liner sheets and Journey Sparkle Dust.
First, I covered a piece of cardstock with a White Liner sheet.  Before I pulled the second layer of backing off the the sheet, I used the Love is punch, and punched out the little hearts.  Once they were cut out, I pulled the backing off and rubbed Journey Sparkle Dust on each heart!

Here is a close up of the end pieces.

This is where I added my ribbon, heart chips and flowers.I also used the lace die from Border Details and die cut it out of Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then snipped the little holes and attached it to the ends of the heart.  I will be honest, it was not a quick process, but the end result looks awesome.

Of course the pattern paper is Doodlebug and all of the accessories are Fun Stampers Journey.

Supplies Used:
Paper: Watermelon Fusion Cardstock, Candy Apple Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock, White Liner Sheets
Dies: Heart-felt, Border Details
Tools: Love is punch
Accessories: Journey Sparkle Dust, Forever Heart Chips, Bubble Gum Satin Ribbon, Media Flowers

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is the start of a new week and you know what that means.  It is time for a new Weekly Spread.

Today I went with a silly Valentine's Day theme.

I used the Love Bandit Stamp set to create my layout this week.  I colored him with Color Burst pencils.  One thing I really like about this layout is, I changed my "Things to do" icons to hearts this week.  I also love the police line up stamp behind him.  I masked this stamp with the Love Bandit stamp to get the look I was looking for.

Have a "lovely" day!

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Love Bandit
Ink: Black Licorice, Cranberry Bliss, Watermelon Fusion
Silk: Bubble Gum
Colored with Color Burst Pencils

Hello Crafty Friends,

I don't know where you are, but here in So Cal, it has not been feeling very wintery.  We have been having temperatures in the high 70's and low 80's for a few days now.  I love winter, but wish that it still felt like winter.

Today, I wanted to create with you a Winter Scrapbook layout I created.

Here is the full two pages, side by side.

Here is a close up of one corner.

I created these snowflakes and the penguin at the top by cutting out the shapes on my Cricut and Fun Stampers Journey Cardstock in Whip Cream and Pool Play.  I added some Rhinestones to the snowflakes a strip of Whip Cream and Pool Play Sparkle tape to finish it off.

Have I told you how much I love Doodlebug paper?  I love the way this layout came out.
