Bitten By the Bug- Bon Appétit

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2, with a food theme, Bon Appetit!

I created a potholder to use for those of us that do not cook, but use the microwave more.

I cut the file from Cricut Design Space with white Iron On Vinyl from Hobby Lobby.  Simple, but perfect.

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave me a comment and then join the challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2.

Wrapping up 2020

Hello Crafty Friends,

What a year it has been?  I guess we can say that 2020 will never be forgotten.

As I look to wrapping up this year and looking forward to 2021, I can say that this year has been a year of learning and reflecting.  Through this pandemic I have learned more about myself and those around me.  I have learned what my priorities are and what I want to see in the future.  My vision has been cleared by living through 2020.

I have one last project I created for this year.

These have been popular among my friends.  I never thought that something could be made to remember this year.

I bought the ornaments from Dollar tree and used PolyAcrylic to get the glitter inside the ornament.  I then used my Cricut and permanent vinyl to cut the image.

Here's to 2020, may we never forget what we have learned and only look forward to 2021.

See you 2021 with all new projects.

Cup of Cheer

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a project I created using all Dollar Tree items and through the process learned a new thing on my Cricut.

I created these adorable little cups of cheer using all things you can find at Dollar Tree; red mini cups, caulk, straws, brown paint, ribbon and sprinkles.

The learning experience came in when I had to create the little cup labels.  I learned how to print and cut stickers from my Cricut.  What a fun new technique.  I can't wait to create more stickers.  I am amazed at what I can do with my Cricut.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe it is November?  Where did the last month go?  All I know is that Fall is in full swing and Thanksgiving will be here soon.

I have been doing more and more crafting with vinyl and wanted to share my newest project.

I took 3 pumpkins from the Dollar Tree and painted them off white.  I then used my Cricut to cut out the words Grateful, Thankful and Blessed out of vinyl.  I then stacked the pumpkins adding leaves inbetween them and gluing them together.  I then added a big bow with some orange flowers to the top.

Easy peasy, but oh so fun!

I challenge you to craft something and share it with us at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Bitten By the Bug 2: Sports

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It is Monday and we have a new challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2.  Let's see your sports projects.

For my project, I created a sign for my brother's front yard.

The sign itself I found at Dollar Tree.  The sign said Friends and Family.  I painted over them with White paint and started over.

I cut the Dallas Cowboys out of vinyl using my Cricut and a file I bought on Etsy.  I then sprayed it to seal it and added some ribbon to jazz it up.

He loved it and I was so glad he did.  It was a simple project and fun to do for him.

Now your turn.  Make something using your Cricut that is sports related and join the challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Bitten By the Bug 2: Military Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy Memorial Day!   Remember the real reason for why we celebrate this day.  I hope you are making the most of the day with your family.

Today we have a new challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2.  We want to see your military makes.

I saw this idea on a Facebook group I wanted to create it.

I used the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge from Close to My Heart to create the rolled flowers.  I cut the flowers from Candy Apple, Whip Cream and Huckleberry Fusion Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then added pearls to the inside of the blue flowers for the stars.

I hot glued the flowers onto a piece of Black Licorice Cardstock, that I then placed inside the shadow box I got from Dollar Tree.

I then cut "Proud Military Family" file from Love SVG.com with my Cricut from white  and silver vinyl and placed them on the glass of the shadow box.  It is hard to see, but the stars are cut from silver vinyl.

Thank you for stopping by,  Please leave me a comment.  If you have a Cricut, come join the challenge and show us your Cricut projects.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is the first of the month and that means we have a new challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  The theme as always is anything goes.

Since April is bringing Easter this year, I made this sign to celebrate.

The sign is from Dollar Tree.  I then used some of my Doodlebug Design scraps to decorate each letter.   I adhered the paper to the wood with Mod Podge.
I then added some stickers from the same Easter set to the letters.

I then added some foam eggs to the sign, which I found in my stash.

Lastly, I added a tulle pom pom to the bunnies tail and a polka dot bow to the top.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.
