Crafty Gals Corner-Challenge #276- Anything Goes with a "Spring" twist

Hello crafty friends,

We are starting the fourth month of the year and we are speeding right through the year.   I can't believe that Easter was just this past weekend and as a teacher we are getting ready for state testing and then the end of the year.

Spring is always a time that is full of bright colors and fun animals.  For the new challenge this month at Crafty Gals Corner, I brought out this cute ladybug girl stamp from Stamp Anniething, I believe.

Here is the card I created:

I colored the image with my Copics.

I then made the card base and background with paper from Echo Park "Little Ladybug" paper pack.  I die cut a few different sizes of circles.  The ladybugs and the sentiment is from the Echo Park paper pack. Simple but so cheerful.

Please leave me a comment and then join the challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.  Can't wait to see what yu create.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #269: Fill in the Blank: _________ July

Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe that half of 2025 is over?  I saw a meme the other day that said we are closer to 2050 than we are to 2000.  It is hard to imagine that.  It is hard to imagine that my summer break is over half over too.  I have so many projects and techniques I want to work on and accomplish, but I have been productive so far.  How are your summer plans going?

Today we have a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.  The challenge is another Fill in the Blank: __________ July.  You can be as creative as you want as you are working through this challenge.  When I think of July, I think of Christmas in July.  I love Christmas, so any reason to work on and celebrate Christmas I am all for it.

The image I played with is from RAM stamps.  Rachelle is an amazing designer and I always love to play with her stamps.

Here is a note from Rachelle Anne Miller:

I am an artist & designer living in the beautiful Adelaide Hills in South Australia with my husband and three amazing children! I love to create and am especially drawn to all things cute. I've worked on children's books, greeting cards, craft supplies, children's room décor, tech accessories, and more. I love to bring out joy and imagination in my art and create something a little different to inspire and make you smile.

Her stamps definitely make me smile.  Here is the card I created using the digital stamp "Christmas Joy".

I used Carta Bella "Christmas" line for the card base.  I then made a shaker for the stamped image and used pieces from my stash.

I colored the images with my Copics:

JOY: R59, R46, R35

Lights: Y13, G28, YR68, BG45

Kangaroo: E79, E57, E37, E34, E31

Koala: BV23, E74, E70

Noses: C9

The little Koala and Kangaroo looks like they are having fun and spreading the JOY of Christmas around.

Now it is your turn.  Leave me a comment and then join the challenge with your own July project to Crafty Gals Corner.

Mix It Up Challenge Blog- Challenge- Paper Piecing

Hello Crafty Friends,

Have you ever paper pieced an image before?  I loved creating those paper dolls from the Cricut cartrudge many years back, which I still have, to create cute little people.  Not quite the same thing, but so much fun. If you do, that is the challenge at Mix It Up Challenge Blog this month; Paper Piecing,

I used the birthday stamp from Simon Says stamps to paper piece the balloons for a cute birthday card.

Here is the card I created:

I stamped the image 3 times, 2 times on the card front and one time on a scrap piece of the same blue cardstock.  I then stamped the image several times on different colors of cardstock.  I then cut out each balloon and party popper with the color I wanted.  I glued all the pieces to the individual stamped image.  I then popped this image up on the card front.

To finish the card, I layered the card front on another piece of blue cardstock.  I also stamped the sentiment from Taylored Expressions in black ink at the top.

I hope you try paper piecing if you have never tried it.  Please leave me a comment and then join the challenge at Mix It Up Challenge Blog.
