Love to Craft Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we start a new month and a new challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  The theme is always anything goes, so let's see your projects.

I am sharing a card I made for a recent card class that I teach.

I created this card using fall paper from my stash. It is a Z fold card, so this is what it looks like open.

The bountiful thanks stamp is from Fun Stampers Journey, stamped with a burgundy ink.  The leaves are die cuts from Taylored Expressions.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment and then join the challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Crafty Gals- Thankful Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is November and it is the time to be thankful.   We have just this theme this month over at Crafty Gals Corner.

I got to play with this wonderful image named "Turkey Day" from Leann's World.

Here is the card I created:

I created the card using pattern paper from Photo Play called Fall Breeze, cardstock, ribbon, stamp from Fun Stampers Journey and embellishments.

I colored the image with my Copics:

Apples: R37, R35

Pumpkins: YR27, YR68, YR15

Leaves and Stems: G28

Turkey: E29, E27, E23, E57, E35, E33, E31

I love the way it came out and how perfect it is for the season of November and to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Bitten By the Bug 2: Family/Heritage

Hello Crafty Friends,

When I think of November, I think of gratitude and family.   This challenge is perfect for the month of November.

I created a scrapbook layout of our Thanksgiving impromptu picture shoot.

Here is the layout I created.

I created the layout from a pattern paper pad from Michaels.  I then cut out the title using my cricut and a svg from Miss Kate's Cuttables.

Here is a close up of the title:

Thankful Card

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It is the day before Thanksgiving and it is always the day to think about all the things you have that you are thankful for.  This year has been like no other, but there is always something to be thankful for.

The card base is cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey and blocks of pattern paper from Doodlebug Designs.  I then cut the sentiment from Queen and Company out of Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey and glitter fun foam from Michael's.

Super simple card, but oh so cute.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Crafty Gals Corner- Thankful and Thank You

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we have a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner: Thank yous and Thankful.   I had fun playing with this image from Fred, She Said Digital Designs.

I colored the image using my Copics.

Pumpkins: YR27, YR68, YR15

Leaves: G99, G94, YG03

Sunflowers: Y38, Y19, Y15

Stems: E27, E25

I then used some pattern paper from Frank Garcia, Amber Moon collection and cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey for the card base.  I used the die set from Queen and Company for the word Blessed.  I die cut the back ground with cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey and the word itself from glitter fun foam.  I love the dimension it adds.

To finish the card, I added a piece of Pumpkin Patch Ribbon from Fun Stampers Journey around the card and added a sweet premade bow from Fun Stampers Journey.

I hope you will create a thank you or thankful card and join the challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.

Also, thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Bitten by The Bug: Thanksgiving

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is time for a new challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2.  This two week challenge is Thanksgiving.  I couldn't help but make this fun turkey from Dreaming Tree.

I used pattern paper from Authentique to create this turkey.

Here is a close up of his face.

Here is a close up of his feathers.  I added some liquid pearls to the feathers.

Last, but not least, he is a treat box.

He was a ton of fun to make and really not that hard.   He will be the star of the table on Thanksgiving Day!
Please create something with your Cricut for Thanksgiving and share it with us on the blog.

Also, thank you for stopping by and please leave me a comment.

Give Thanks

 Hello Crafty Friends,

November always brings the sense of thankfulness.  I am thankful for so many things in my life.

Today I have a simple but fun thankful card.

For the card base, I used Butter Cream Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey and pattern paper from Authentique.  I then embossed the background with the Barn Wall embossing folder from Fun Stampers Journey and then swiped some Hazelnut Blend ink over it to bring out the grains.

I then used an apple die from Spellbinders and die cut three apples from Pumpkin Bread, Pomegranate Splash and Summer Days cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then stamped each apple with the Flannel background and Hazelnut Blend ink, both from Fun Stampers Journey.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from the Bountiful Thanks stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey with Hazelnut Blend on Whip Cream cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe it is November?  Where did the last month go?  All I know is that Fall is in full swing and Thanksgiving will be here soon.

I have been doing more and more crafting with vinyl and wanted to share my newest project.

I took 3 pumpkins from the Dollar Tree and painted them off white.  I then used my Cricut to cut out the words Grateful, Thankful and Blessed out of vinyl.  I then stacked the pumpkins adding leaves inbetween them and gluing them together.  I then added a big bow with some orange flowers to the top.

Easy peasy, but oh so fun!

I challenge you to craft something and share it with us at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Doodlebug Turkey

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are getting excited for Thanksgiving.  I always look forward to the food and fellowship.  We are hosting this year, so I had to create something as our center piece.

I love Doodlebug paper and knew I had to use it on this turkey.  I hand cut each of the pieces.  I then inked the edges to hide any imperfections.

I also inked the face area to darken the head a little bit.

Here he is standing up.

I think the colors are more realistic in this last picture.
I purchased the wooden turkey from JoAnn's and covered with Doodlebug Designs Pattern Paper.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Give Thanks Eat Pie

Hello Crafty Friends,

This past weekend, we had a Friendsgiving Crop and boy was it a lot of fun!  We ate, laughed and created.

We always have some kind of swaps, and this month we had a food themed card swap with any sentiment.  Here is the card I created.

I have seen the pie idea on Pinterest and I wanted to do it.

I die cut the scallop from Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock.  I then hand cut the circles using the Journey Circle die as a template from Pumpkin Bread Cardstock.
The pattern paper is Authentique, which I picked up at Hobby Lobby awhile ago.
The sentiment is a stamp from Fun Stampers Journey.
The whipcream on the top of the pie is tissue paper I cut into circles and stacked together and secured with a small staple.  I then ruffled up the pieces.

I hope you found some inspiration.  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day!
