Simply Create Too- Red, White and Blue

Hello Crafty Friends,

We are well on our way into July and tomorrow it will be July 4th.  Even though this years celebrations will be different, we still can celebrate our freedom.

Today I have a card I created using Doodlebug pattern paper.

I used Fun Stampers Journey Cardstock in Candy Apple and then I used layers of different patriotic prints from Doodlebug.  I then cut out one of the icons with the truck and fireworks.
I added some Journey Glaze to the windshield and the headlights.

I finished the card by adding the sentiment strip from the icon sheet and sprinkled some Sparkle Silk from Fun Stampers Journey to the whole card.

Love to Craft Challenge- Oh Happy Day!

Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe that it is July 1st?  I can't believe that it is July already.   With a new month, means we have a new challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Today I have a card I created using a card layout from one of my crafty Facebook group.

The card base is Whip Cream Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then layered the pieces of RSVP Prints Printed paper.
I then stamped the leaves with Kiwi Slice ink on Whip Cream Cardstock from the In the Tropics stamp and die set.
I die cut from Journey Circles the circle cut out with Whip Cream Cardstock and stamped the sentiment with a Spellbinders sentiment set.
To finish the card, I added a few pearls to the card.

Bitten By the Bug 2: Summer Solstice Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are having a great day.  This past week has been a tough one, but I am looking forward to the new week ahead.  One thing I am excited about is the new challenge we have today at Bitten By The Bug 2.

We want to see those projects that celebrate the sun!

Here is what I created.

Summer to me is saying goodbye to my teaching job for some time to relax and recharge.

I created this sign with permanent vinyl on a canvas.  This was my first time going a vinyl project with multiple colors and layers.   The file is from Love SVG.

Road Trip Scrapbook Layout

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share a scrapbook layout I created for an album I am working on about our Road Trip in 2013.

I have had this map paper for a long time, and I thought it was the best paper for this Road trip layout.

The letters that I used for the title are cork letters, which I think look really good with the terrain.

Crafty Gals Corner: Masculine Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.  Let's see your masculine cards.

I got to play with this fun image from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.  If you know me, I love making cards with a coffee theme, so I knew this was the image for me.

I colored the image with my Copic markers:
Donut: E35, E49, E47
Skin: E13, E11, E00, E000
Coffee: E57
Sweats: C7, C5, C3
Slippers: BG78, BG75, BG72

I created the base of the card using Whip Cream Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.  Next I layered pieces of the Echo Park Coffee 6 x 6 pad for the background.

I hope you found inspiration.

Bitten by The Bug 2: Wedding or Anniversary

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we have a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2.  The challenge is to use your Cricut to create something for a wedding or anniversary.

I decided to create the first page of a wedding album I am going to start working on.

I used a file from Miss Kate's Cuttables file for the flower embellishments on either side of picture.

The cardstock for the letters and the matte for the picture are cut from Pearled Basics Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.
The lettering is from DJ Inkers cut with the Pearled Basics cardstock.

Simple, but great for a title page.
