Crafty Gals Corner- Challenge #243- Flowers for Mom

Hello Crafty Friends,

New challenge at Crafty Gals Corner with Mom's in mind. To be honest, my mom does not like real flowers, but she does like the one's that I color. So, this challenge was fun to create.

The image I received to play with was from Fred, She Said Digital Designs and titled "Open Poppy".

I love the poppy and being from California, we see lots of poppies because it is our state flower.  I hope I did this poppy justice.

I colored the poppies with my Copic Markers:

Flower: YR 09, YR16, Y17

Stems: G99, G85.

I created the card using a grass die and layers of paper. I stamped the sentiment with green ink and popped it up with foam squares. I added some yellow ink to the edges of the yellow layer of cardstock.

To finish the card, I added some orange epoxy stickers to the card.

Now it is your turn.  Leave me a comment and then share your "flowers for mom" on the Crafty Gals Challenge Blog.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

Christmas all year so you are ready for Christmas this year.  I love Christmas and love to create projects for gifts that will be cherished.  Today I am sharing a project I created as a gift for a dear friend.

This is a 3D shadow box picture of Mary and baby Jesus. I cut the file on my Cricut and placed the 13 layers together with foam strips. The picture does not do justice.

I did try something new on this project.  The words to "Silent Night" are done with the foil tool for the Cricut.  It was amazing to watch it write it. I will definitely be doing that again.

Thank you for stopping by.  Leave me a comment and then share your Christmas projects with us as Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog.

Mix it Up Challenge Blog- Embossing

Hello Crafty Friends,

Here at the Mix-it up Challenge Blog we are challenging you to use your embossing tools. I tend to use embossing folders, but this month I decided to challenge myself and I created a wet-embossed card.

The card inspiration came from Taylored Expressions "Stamp Joy" project.  The background was stamped with Versamark ink and the I used clear embossing powder.  When the panel was cooled, I die cute the rectangle from the middle area.

I stamped the sentiment "hello" with purple ink and die cut it with the matching die.  I then adhered the sentiment to a piece of vellum and wrapped the vellum around the die cut rectangle.  I then used foam squares to pop the middle section up.

Simple card, but lots of depth with the embossing.

Now it is your turn to show us your embossing projects.  Leave me a comment and then share your project at Mix It Up Challenge Blog.

Love to Craft- Challenge- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we have a new month, which means a new challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  The theme is anything goes so let's see that you have made.  Share it with us.

This month I want to share a new paper crafting project I have ventured into. I am loving these 3D shadow box projects.  The one today is of a ladybug.

The file it self is a total of 12 layers to make this picture.  I used my Cricut to cut the layers and then I place each layer on top of each other with a foam strip in between,

The picture does not allow this project to pop the way it is in person, but still worthy of a share.

Now, let's see what you have created lately.  Please leave me a comment and then head over to Love to Craft Challenge Blog and share your project.

I got to play with this fun Leprechaun from The Paper Shelter.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

If you love to craft then this is the blog challenge for you.  Anything goes is the theme every month and the best part of the challenge is to see what everyone comes up with.

This month, I created a fun card that could be easily used as a Valentine's card as well.

I used a mustard colored cardstock to create the background and then cute from the same colored cardstock to cut out the hexagon background die.

I then stamped with black ink on white cardstock, the bees from Honey Bee stamps and detail cut them out and colored with markers.

I stamped the one set of wings for one bee on vellum and detail cut them out and added them.

The sentiment was die cut with a die from Photoplay.

To finish the card I added some Wink of Stella on the wings of the "white" wing bee.
