It's a girl! Baby Card

It is almost Spring and with the new season, I know there are going to be a few babies born.  I love to make baby cards.  I can't wait to share today's card with you.
The base of the card is made with Whip Cream, Pool Play and Pretty Amethyst Cardstock.  I then stamped on the top layer of Whip Cream Cardstock, I stamped the cloud outline from the Baby Chute set with Beach Breeze Ink that I lighten by stamping on an acrylic block first and then stamping on to the paper.  I also added the heart clouds, from the same set, in Watermelon Fusion ink.
I then die cut from Pool Play Cardstock the circle with Journey Circles including the piercing element.  On this piece, I stamped the parachute in Black Licorice Ink and the solid clouds with Whip Cream Ink.
I then stamped the parachute part on Pretty Amethyst, Bubble Gum and Whip Cream Cardstock, fussy cut them and added them to the Pool Play piece.  The Bubble Gum piece is adhered with foam squares for dimension.
I then stamped the baby on Whip Cream and Bubble Gum Cardstock, fussy cut and adhered them to the card.  I then added some flesh colored pencil to the baby's face and feet.
I finished the card by adding Pearls and Bubble Gum Stain Ribbon.  Enjoy!

Loads of Fun!

Today is Carnival Day!  When I think of carnivals I think of games, popcorn and a Ferris wheel.  Today's card takes me back to the carnivals I used to go to when I was little.
The base of the card is made from Whip Cream Cardstock.  I cut another piece of Whip Cream Cardstock measuring 3 1/2 square and attached this to the card with a little piece of scotch tape.  I then stamped the Ferris Wheel in Black Licorice Ink and the Fireworks in Beach Breeze, Lemon Drop and Kiwi Slice Ink Pads from the Loads of Fun Stamp Set.  After I was done stamping, I removed the piece and matted it on to a piece of Lemon Drop Cardstock measuring 3 5/8 square.  I then adhered this whole thing to the card.
I then used Journey Glaze to outline the fireworks and then dusted them with Journey Sparkle Dust.
I stamped the sentiment from the same set in Black Licorice Ink below the stamped images.
To finish the card, I used Black Licorice Twine and Beach Breeze Thread and wrapped them both together around the card and added a Mini Wooden Clothespin.  Enjoy!

Sending Prayers

I saw a card on Pinterest that inspired the card I have to share today!
I started the card with a Whip Cream Cardstock base.  I stamped the Ink Splat ATS with River Stone Ink, twice, perpendicular to each other.   I then splattered Silver and Bubble Gum Silk over the card.
I then die cut the butterfly from the Artful Butterfly die and Sweet Berry Cardstock.  I adhered the butterfly with white glue on the body part.
I then stamped the "Sending Prayers" sentiment for the Lead Me set in River Stone Ink.
Then die cut Spring Mini Blooms from Bubble Gum and Sweet Berry Cardstock.  I adhered them to the card with white glue.  I added the rhinestones to the flowers and a few to the card base.  Enjoy!

Miss you

Today's card I want to share with you is one that makes me long for spring and flowers.
This is not the traditional card size.  I made the card to measure 4 x 4.  I started with a card base from Bubble Gum Cardstock.  The first layer is Pool Play that I embossed with the Above the Clouds Embossing Folder.  I adhered this layer flat to the card.
I then die cut the green leaf stems from the Border Details die set from Lemon Grass Cardstock.  I then stamped the flowers from the Lead Me set in Sweet Berry Ink on Whip Cream Cardstock and fussy cut them out.
I then took the flowers and using the largest stylus tool on the Bloom Tool I added dimension by pushing on the back of the flower in a circular motion over each petal.  I then turned the flower over and did the same thing to the middle part, to make the flower petals pop up.
I added the flowers to the card and added Journey Sequins- Bloom Time to the stems.
I then stamped the sentiment Miss you from Selfie Love (Former Kit of the Month Stamp Set- not available for purchase yet) with Watermelon Fusion Ink on Whip Cream Cardstock.
I finished the card by adding a few strips of Bright Days Journey Tape and Sparkle Drops to the flower centers.  Enjoy!

Handmade Valentines

I know Valentine's Day is over, but I wanted to share the valentines I made for my niece and nephews.  I had fun creating them.
For the littlest one, I created a fish bowl with Goldfish crackers.
Zeke loves Goldfish crackers, so this one was a no brainier.  I cut out the fishbowl from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge.  I then wrapped the fish crackers in a separate bag (I had to do this so that the oil from the fish did not bleed onto the paper).  I then put them in a bag, tied on the tag with a blue ribbon and curled it.   He loved them.

For Noah, who loves anything Minions, I created the banana pudding minions I found at Tip Toe Fairy.   I followed the pattern she created.
After I had created these adorable "minions", we found out that he needed some kind of card for a project they were doing in the classroom.  I created these ATC size cards so he could use them for the project.
He loved these more than the pudding!  Go figure!

For Melanie, who loves Olaf, I created these valentines.
I got the pattern from One Creative Mommy.    I used the tag she created.  The only difference I made was in the chocolate chips.  I used mini chocolate chips and used white writing gel to attach them to the marshmallows.

The kids loved their valentines and I loved making them for them.  I can't wait for next year.  Enjoy!

You are my sunshine

I don't know where the saying came from, "It never rains in California".  I want to go on record that it does rain and it is raining as I write this post.  It was the inspiration for the card I want to share with you today.
The base of the card is created with Whip Cream and Pool Play Cardstock.  I then stamped the raindrops from the Hello Sunshine set (Kit of the Month- Not yet available) onto the Pool Play using Beach Breeze ink.  I then added Journey Glaze and Journey Sparkle Dust to the solid raindrops.
Next, I stamped the cloud from the same set with Black Licorice Ink on Rock Candy Cardstock.  I also stamped the two "children" with Black Licorice ink on Whip Cream Cardstock.  I colored the "children" with colored pencils and fussy cut these images out and adhered them to the card, the cloud with foam squares, and the "children" with white liner tape.
I added a Beach Breeze Thread bow around the left hand side of the card and tied my sentiment, from the same set, stamped in Rock Candy Ink.
To finished the card, I added some Journey Glaze to the puddle.  Enjoy!

Hello Friend

If you know me, you know that I love snowmen.  I couldn't go a whole month without a snowman card since it is still winter.  It doesn't feel like winter in California right now, but it says winter on the calendar.
The card base is a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock.  I die cut a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock with Journey Ovals.  I placed this on the base of the card using a small piece of tape.  I then stamped the Snow Burst snowflakes in Beach Ball and Beach Breeze ink over the oval.  When I was done stamping the snowflakes, I took the Whip Cream Cardstock Oval off the card base and matted it on another oval cut from Beach Ball Cardstock.  I then adhered these two pieces to the card base.
I stamped the snowman from Jolly Friends in Black Licorice Ink on Whip Cream cardstock and colored him with colored pencils.  I adhered him to the card base with a foam square.
I finished off the card by adding a Beach Breeze thread bow at the top and a few Sparkle Drops to the card base.  Enjoy!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you have a great day with your Valentine.  The card I have to share today is the card my brother will be giving his wife this year.
The base of the card is made from Whip Cream Cardstock.  I started the card by splattering Bubble Gum Silk over the card.  I then took a strip of Candy Apple Cardstock and stamped the arrows from the Be Mine set with Black Licorice Ink, to create a patterned piece of paper.  I added this to the card and used heart washi tape (not FSJ).
I then die cut a heart with the Heart-Felt die and Watermelon Fusion Cardstock.  I then die cut a circle with Journey Circles with the piercing element out of Whip Cream Cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment from the Be Mine set in Candy Apple Ink.  I added this piece to the card using foam squares.
I finished the card by adding a Whip Cream Thread bow, Heart Sparkle Dots and a Fun Days Element paper clip.  Enjoy!

I Love You

The best kind of cards are those you receive from littles.  My card today reminds me of cards I have received from students in the past.
The base of the card is Bubble Gum and Candy Apple Cardstock.  I then cut strips of Whip Cream and Bubble Gum Cardstock and stamped with conversation hearts from the Be Mine set, in Watermelon Fusion and Candy Apple Ink.  I also cut two strips from Yummy Prints for the other to strips.  I then cut all of these strips into banners.
I placed a strip of adhesive through the middle and attached the Candy Apple Satin Ribbon in a pleated pattern attaching the ends to the back of the Candy Apple Cardstock.
I then die cut a heart from Watermelon Fusion Cardstock and the Heart-Felt die set.  I stamped the crayon heart from the Love Me ATS in Candy Apple Ink on Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then stamped the "I Love You" on Whip Cream Cardstock with Watermelon Fusion Ink.  I fussy cut these both out and attached with foam squares.
To finish the card, I added Heart Sparkle Dots, a Whip Cream Thread bow and a Sparkle Love Elements (Bloom Benefits).  Enjoy!

Hello Sunshine

Today is Umbrella Day.  In California we don't use umbrella's very much.  Even more right now, since we are having weather in the high 80's and low 90's.
I created the base of the card with Whip Cream Cardstock.  I stamped the umbrella from the Hello Sunshine (Kit of the month stamp set- not yet available) set and stamped in a staggered pattern in Bubble Gum, Cool Pool and Pineapple Smoothie inks.  I then splattered the whole card with Cool Pool Silk.
I then cut a piece of River Stone Cardstock and used it to mat a Whip Cream Cardstock piece.  I then stamped my sentiment, Hello Sunshine from the same set, in Rock Candy Ink.
I finished the card by wrapping Whip Cream Thread around the sentiment piece and tied in a bow.  Then I added a Fun Day Elements heart clip.  Enjoy!

Cupid Love

Today's card is one that I made by accident.  I started making a card using the cupid stamp, but I just could not get it to look the way I wanted it to.
Here is what I did.  I took the cupid stamp from the Be Mine set and inked it up with Whip Cream Ink.  I then took Bubble Gum Silk and painted the cupid part, straight on the stamp.  I then took Silver Silk and painted the bow and arrow part.  Once I had it all painted, I then stamped it on the Whip Cream Cardstock.  You can't see it in the picture, but the cupid is shimmery because of the metallic in the silk.  I love the way it turned out.
The card it self is made from Sweet Berry Cardstock, Watermelon Fusion Cardstock, Journey Basics: Black and White Prints and River Stone Cardstock.
I used Bubble Gum Cardstock and the Spring Bloom Mini's die set to cut the flowers.  I added the Sparkle Drops to the center of the flowers.
I finished the card by adding a Bubble Gum Satin Ribbon bow, a Whip Cream Thread bow that I used to hold the Bubble Gum heart I cut from Heart-felt die set.  I stamped the sentiment from the Be Mine set in Rock Candy ink and added a Heart Sparkle Drop.  Enjoy!

Penguin Love

Valentine's Day is getting closer.  Today I have a card I created for my class last week to share.
I used Whip Cream Cardstock for the base and stamped snowflakes from the Snow Burst set with Pomegranate Splash ink.  I then die cut from Pomegranate Splash Cardstock, Journey rectangles with the piercing element to create the film strip backing.  I then cut squares from Whip Cream Cardstock measuring 2 1/4 and added them to the strip.
I stamped the penguins from P.S. ATS in Black Licorice Ink on 2 of the squares.  I colored their bellies blue and pink with colored pencils.  I then used a piece of scrap Whip Cream Cardstock to stamp the conversation bubbles, fussy cut them and used foam squares to add dimension.
I finished the card with a Whip Cream Thread bow and 2 Gold Hearts (Bloom Benefits).  Enjoy!

Hearts, Hearts, Hearts

Hearts say I love you.  So what else would I use to decorate a Valentine's Day Card?
This card was fun to create.  The base of the card is made with Black Licorice Cardstock and Journey Basics: Black and White Prints Paper.  I then die cut two Cupcake Liners from Whip Cream and Black Licorice Cardstock.  I then stamped the Candy Apple hearts from the Be Mine set, all over the Whip Cream Cupcake Liner.  I then adhered the liners together and attached them to the card base.  I then tied a Candy Apple Satin Ribbon Bow around the card, tied a piece of Whip Cream Thread into a bow on top and then added a Gold Heart (Bloom Benefits).
I finished the card off by adding the word LOVE in Candy Apple Cardstock that I die cut from the Snapshot Frames set.  Enjoy!

Winter Friends

Want to build a snowman?  Today I have a card that just makes me smile, just like the movie "Frozen" does.
The base of the card is made from Whip Cream Cardstock and a piece of Yummy Prints.  I die cut two ovals with Journey Ovals as the base of my characters.  I took one and distressed it with Beach Breeze Ink.  The other one I torn in half and used foam squares to attached it on top of the other one.  I then stamped and cut the Jolly Friends from Whip Cream Cardstock and colored them with colored pencils and adhered them to the ovals.
I added my sentiment from the Jolly Friend set with Beach Breeze Ink on Whip Cream Cardstock.
I finished the card by adding Journey Sparkle Cuts to the ovals, a Beach Breeze Thread bow and adding a Sparkle Love Elements (Bloom Benefits) to the sentiment piece.  Enjoy!
