Hello Crafty Friends,

I can't believe that January is almost over!  It seems like we just started the new year.
Today I want to share with you a banner I created to celebrate my favorite season of the year.

I love Doodlebug paper and I love the way this Winter banner came out.   I even took my scallop border dies from Border Basics and recreated the tree from the pattern paper and add some "icicles" to the top of the banner pieces.

Here is a close up picture of the letter pieces.  I used Grape Fusion ink to distress the edges of the letters.

I added a few of the icon stickers to each letter banner pieces.
My goal is to create a banner for each Holiday this year with Doodlebug paper.  Stay tuned.

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share with you a wedding or anniversary card.

I just love this stamp.  I love the simple look of it.
To create the base of this card, I first took the piece of Candy Apple Cardstock and pierced either side of it by using one of the Journey Rectangles piercing die.  I then adhered this piece to the card base of Bubble Gum Cardstock and then splattered Black Licorice silk over the top.  I then built the card from there.
The hearts on the cake are colored with Color Burst Pencils and then I went over the top with a little Sparkle Silk.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Wedding Bliss ATS, Everyday Script
Paper: Bubble Gum Cardstock, Candy Apple Cardstock, Black Licorice Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock
Ink: Black Licorice
Silk: Black Licorice, Sparkle
Dies:  Everyday Script, Journey Rectangles
Accessories: Rhinestone, Heart Sparkle Dots, Black Licorice Twine, Special Day Organza Ribbon,
Colored with Color Burst Pencils

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share a card I created with the Spring Botanicals stamp set.  I used this stamp set on my planner layout this week.  See 1/22/18 post.

I love the clean, simple look of this card.  I started the card by wrapping Bubble Gum Satin ribbon around the strip of Spring Filled Prints Paper.  I attached this to my card.
I then stamped the flowers from the Spring Botanicals stamp set using Sweet Berry ink.  I stamped the leaves with Kiwi Slice ink.  The sentiment is also stamped in Sweet Berry Ink.
I then used the die cut set to cut all the pieces out.  I then just layered them on the card on top of the circle.
To finish the card, I added a few touches of Sparkle Silk to the flowers.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Spring Botanicals, Everyday Script
Paper: Watermelon Fusion Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock, Bubble Gum Cardstock, Spring Filled Prints
Ink: Sweet Berry, Kiwi Slice
Silk: Sparkle
Dies: Journey Circles
Accessories: Bubble Gum Satin Ribbon

1/18/18 Stampin Friends All about Love Blog Hop

Image may contain: textWelcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop!  This month's theme is All about Love  If you are following along with the hop, you should have arrived from  Barbara Welch's blog.

This month's theme was All about Love.  I love all the celebration around Valentine's Day.  Even though I don't have a "sweetie", I still like to send those friends that are dear to my heart, a card.
I would like to share the card I created this year.

I created the heart background using the Fluttering Hearts Gel Impressions Plate and Candy Apple Ink.  I then took Silver, Black Licorice and Sparkle Silks and splattered them over the top.  Before I attached this to the card base, I ripped down the right side.

With lots of layers and shiny things, Mirror Silver paper and Twinkle Trim, I created a card that is sure to make the recipient feel the love.

Now, for the project.  I decided to create a little Tic Tac holder.

It is hard to see in the picture, but I stamped, I Heart You, all over the holder it self.  I then die cut the heart out of the front to be used as a window.
I then used the same die cut and cut out another heart from Bubble Gum Cardstock.  I then covered this piece with White Liner Sheets and trimmed around it.  I then rubbed some Journey Sparkle Dust over the top, and you have a sparkly heart!
Adding some more sparkly things, and my Tic Tac Holder is ready to give to that special someone.

I hope you have found inspiration with my card and projects.  Remember to continue on the hop for more inspiration by going to Sue Vine's Blog next.

Supplies Used:

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope your January is going well.
I have a new birthday card to share with you.

To make the background, I used the Gel Press and the Ring Stacks stencil.  I first took some Candy Apple Acrylic Paint, and painted a layer onto the Gel Press.  I then laid the stencil into the paint.  I then placed my piece of Whip Cream Cardstock over the stencil and pulled the print.  Easy!  Just leave it to dry and you have your own pattern paper.

To create the stamped image, I stamped the HB onto the Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then took a small dauber and Candy Apple ink and dabbed the circles down the "Happy".

Supplies Used:
Stamp: HB
Paper: Whip Cream Cardstock, Beach Ball Cardstock
Ink: Black Licorice, Candy Apple
Paint: Candy Apple
Stencil: Ring Stacks
Silk: Sparkle
Tools: Gel Press, Small Dauber
Accessories: Journey Twine- Licorice Twist, Candy Apple Satin Ribbon

Hello Crafty Friends,

I would like to share another simple birthday card with you today.

The frame and birthday sentiment is all one piece.  I used the Designer Frames set and ran the border piece through first.  I then took this piece and ran it through again with only the word birthday.  When you are done, you have one piece with the border.
Add some pattern paper behind it and you have a pretty simple and clean birthday card.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Poppy Days
Paper: Whip Cream Cardstock, Lemon Drop Cardstock, Party Pop Pattern Paper
Ink: Beach Breeze, Denim Days, Pineapple Smoothie
Accessories: Fashion Silver

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope your January is going good.
I have another birthday card to share with you today.  I always struggle to come up with Masculine birthday cards.  Today I have one to share.

Notice that the sentiment, "Happy Birthday" is on two lines and when you get the stamp set it is on one line.

Did you know that you can cut our stamps?  You can!  It does not change the quality of the stamp, so if it is not in the right configuration, cut your stamps.  It is ok.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Begin Adventure, Cake Time
Paper: Pool Play Cardstock, Butter Cream Cardstock, Romantic Journey Prints
Ink: Black Licorice
Dies: Cloud Dreams
Accessories: Whip Cream Thread, Journey Sequins-Blue Skies

Hello Crafty Friends,

I love to send birthday cards.  I send birthday cards to my student each year and my mom sends birthday cards to each of our friends for their birthday's.   I love to send them, but I also like to make them.  I think cards are a special piece of mail that not many people send anymore.

Today, I want to share a birthday card I created using the Mystic Romance collection.

To create the humming bird, I use the small daubers and ink to create the shading on the bird.  When I had the card all together, I then went back and painted the bird with Sparkle silk to give it that sparkly look that hummingbirds have when you see them in the sunshine.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Sweet Petunias, Embroidered Greetings
Paper: Grape Fusion Cardstock, Denim Days Cardstock, Pool Play Cardstock, Mystic Romance Paper Pack
Ink: Grape Fusion, Kiwi Slice, Rich Coral
