Love to Craft Challenge for December

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog and the theme is Anything Goes.  With it being the first day of December, I knew I wanted to share a Christmas Card.

I bought the card base die from a friend recently who was destashing.  I love unique card bases, so I knew I needed this die in my life.
The die is from Sizzix.  I paired the die set with a favorite stamp set from Lawn Fawn and I have a card which was a hit at my classes.
Ink and Cardstock are all from Fun Stampers Journey.

Come join the challenge with anything you are working on right now.

Merry Christmas Scene

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is the Christmas season.  My favorite time of the year.

I have a card to share with you that I taught at my card classes in November.

I based the card on a card that Fun Stampers Journey shared last year.  I love the Build a Winter Scene, so I knew I had to make this card.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey except for the Pattern Paper on the bottom, which is from Echo Park.

Doodlebug Turkey

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are getting excited for Thanksgiving.  I always look forward to the food and fellowship.  We are hosting this year, so I had to create something as our center piece.

I love Doodlebug paper and knew I had to use it on this turkey.  I hand cut each of the pieces.  I then inked the edges to hide any imperfections.

I also inked the face area to darken the head a little bit.

Here he is standing up.

I think the colors are more realistic in this last picture.
I purchased the wooden turkey from JoAnn's and covered with Doodlebug Designs Pattern Paper.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Pop Up Deer Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today, I want to share one of the cards we created in my classes this month.

I used the Merry Everything stamp set for this card.
The card base was created with the Window Pop Die.  I folded the window part up and attached a piece of Lemon Grass Cardstock to be used as the pull tab.

I stamped everything with Coca Powder ink.
To finish the card, I added a red embellishment to his nose.

Thanks for stopping by.

Girl with sweater

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a simple card that I would like to share.

I recently was introduced to Stamp Anniething stamps and I am in love.

The card base is made from Cool Pool Cardstock.  I then made a layer of Cool Pool cardstock, that I embossed with the Cozy Knit Embossing folder from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then tied a bow around the layer with Cool Pool Satin Ribbon.

The image is the focal point on this card.   I colored the image with my Copics:
Sweater:  BG15, BG13
Dress: B13, B10
Bow: BG15, BG13
Hair: E29, E27, E25
Skin: E13, E11, E00, E000

I still need to work on my hair coloring, but I love the way she came out.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope I have inspired you today.

Warmest Wishes

Hello Crafty Friends,

We are getting closer and closer to Christmas and I am having so much fun creating Christmas cards.  I love Christmas, so Christmas card making is one of my favorite things to do and I can work on them way before Christmas season.

The card I have for you today is a design I had in my mind since I saw this stamp set.

I started with a Fresh Forest cardstock base.  I then added a layer of this beautiful wood grain paper that a friend gave me.  I think it fits the card perfectly.

I then stamped the lantern with Black Licorice ink on Whip Cream Cardstock, fussy cut the lantern and added a piece of acetate to the back.

I then stamped the candle and colored with my Color Burst Pencils.

The pine needles and pinecones are a die from Fun Stampers Journey that I cut out with Fresh Forest, Oatmeal Cookie and Hazelnut Blend cardstock.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set with Candy Apple ink on Whip Cream cardstock.

Thank you for stopping by and looking.  I hope you found some inspiration.

Give Thanks Eat Pie

Hello Crafty Friends,

This past weekend, we had a Friendsgiving Crop and boy was it a lot of fun!  We ate, laughed and created.

We always have some kind of swaps, and this month we had a food themed card swap with any sentiment.  Here is the card I created.

I have seen the pie idea on Pinterest and I wanted to do it.

I die cut the scallop from Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock.  I then hand cut the circles using the Journey Circle die as a template from Pumpkin Bread Cardstock.
The pattern paper is Authentique, which I picked up at Hobby Lobby awhile ago.
The sentiment is a stamp from Fun Stampers Journey.
The whipcream on the top of the pie is tissue paper I cut into circles and stacked together and secured with a small staple.  I then ruffled up the pieces.

I hope you found some inspiration.  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day!
