Happy Holidays

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have one last Christmas card to share.   This one was a fun one and another pretty simple one.

I stamped the snowy scene on white cardstock and placed this behind the window I die cut from Brown Cardstock.
I then die cut some boughs from the Concord and 9th die set from Green paper and tied a red gingham bow at the top.
To finish the card I added the sentiment, "Happy Holidays from our home to yours", at the bottom.

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas.

Stay Cozy

Hello Crafty Friends,

Only a few more days till Christmas.  Are you ready?  I am not in the way of gifts, but I am done with my cards.

Today I want to share pretty simple card, but worth the time.

I first started by die cutting many snowflakes.  I then glued each one to the card base, creating a unique white on white background.

I then stamped the cabin scene and used foam squares to attach the scene to the card.  I did the same thing with the sentiment.

To finish the card, I added Journey glaze to the sentiment and Journey Glaze and Glitter to the cabin roofs.

I hope you are staying cozy where ever you call home.

Season Greetings

Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe that Christmas is just one week away?  I hope you are getting ready and not too stressed.

Today I want to share with you a card that took me out of comfort zone.  I got the embossing powder out.

I first used the Birch Tree stamp and stamped it on to the Cool Pool cardstock with Clear Pigment ink.  I then used white embossing powder to make the image white.

I then stamped the deer from the Winter Holiday stamp set with Cocoa Powder on Oatmeal Cookie cardstock.  I fussy cut the deer out and added a red bakers twine bow to his antler.

I used a border die from Lawn Fawn to make the snow across the bottom.

I stamped the sentiment, Season's Greetings, from the Sparkle Trim stamp set, with Cocoa Powder ink.

To finish the card, I sprinkled Sparkle Silk over the card.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey.

Holiday Wishes

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a simple but cute card.  This card would be easy to duplicate in a hurry.

I thought this die set from Fun Stampers Journey went perfect with this pattern paper from Michael's.   The trees were dies cut from the different colors of cardstock.  Before pulling the pieces out, I placed foam squares on the back and then pulled them out.  You can see that the red one didn't keep the pieces inside, but the other two came out great.

The cardstock is from Fun Stampers Journey.

I then used the sentiment from Queen and Company's Sentiment Stacker set.

Home for the Holidays

Hello Crafty Friends,

I had so much fun creating this sweet card today.  I got to play with some new dies to me from Concord and 9th and Memory Box.

I die cut the staircase and the pine boughs from cardstock.  I then stamped and detail cut out the tree.

I added the rhinestones to the tree to add some "sparkle".

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey, except for the staircase and garland dies.

Colored Lights or White Lights?

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a card to ask the question, do you use colored lights or white lights on your tree?

I prefer the white lights because they seem so bright and sparkly.  What about you?

The card base is created with layers of cardstock and then I stamped the tree on the left side and the right side.  I then stamped the same tree on a different piece of Cardstock and detail cut the tree out.
I adhered the tree to the card with foam squares.
I then used rainbow drops from Fun Stampers Journey to the different areas of the tree.
To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment and then cut the ends into banner cuts and adhered it to the card.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey.

Christmas Trees

Hello Crafty Friends,

Christmas can not be celebrated without a Christmas tree.  I know some people have small trees or large trees.  Some have fake trees and real trees.  Whatever your preference,  I think Christmas trees are beautiful in all different colors and covered with snow.

Today's card is all about the tree.

I stamped the trees with three different colors of green ink onto the circle.   The lightest color on the circle, then a little bit darker on the one I adhered onto the circle.  The darkest color on adhered with foam squares on the top.

I stamped the sentiment with black ink and green ink.

To finish the card I added a few pearls to the card.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey, except the pattern paper which is from Echo Park.

Today's card is one of my favorites this year.

I started by creating the snowflake background on the top half.  I then stamped the words three times towards the bottom.
The snowman is from Spellbinders and was fun to die cut and piece together.
I added a chevron border from cardstock and then a strip of silver scalloped washi tape.

I based the card on a card that Fun Stampers Journey shared last year.  I love the Build a Winter Scene, so I knew I had to make this card.

Doodlebug Turkey

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are getting excited for Thanksgiving.  I always look forward to the food and fellowship.  We are hosting this year, so I had to create something as our center piece.

I love Doodlebug paper and knew I had to use it on this turkey.  I hand cut each of the pieces.  I then inked the edges to hide any imperfections.

I also inked the face area to darken the head a little bit.

Here he is standing up.

I think the colors are more realistic in this last picture.
I purchased the wooden turkey from JoAnn's and covered with Doodlebug Designs Pattern Paper.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Warmest Wishes

Hello Crafty Friends,

We are getting closer and closer to Christmas and I am having so much fun creating Christmas cards.  I love Christmas, so Christmas card making is one of my favorite things to do and I can work on them way before Christmas season.

The card I have for you today is a design I had in my mind since I saw this stamp set.

I started with a Fresh Forest cardstock base.  I then added a layer of this beautiful wood grain paper that a friend gave me.  I think it fits the card perfectly.

I then stamped the lantern with Black Licorice ink on Whip Cream Cardstock, fussy cut the lantern and added a piece of acetate to the back.

I then stamped the candle and colored with my Color Burst Pencils.

The pine needles and pinecones are a die from Fun Stampers Journey that I cut out with Fresh Forest, Oatmeal Cookie and Hazelnut Blend cardstock.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set with Candy Apple ink on Whip Cream cardstock.

Thank you for stopping by and looking.  I hope you found some inspiration.

Give Thanks Eat Pie

Hello Crafty Friends,

This past weekend, we had a Friendsgiving Crop and boy was it a lot of fun!  We ate, laughed and created.

We always have some kind of swaps, and this month we had a food themed card swap with any sentiment.  Here is the card I created.

I have seen the pie idea on Pinterest and I wanted to do it.

I die cut the scallop from Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock.  I then hand cut the circles using the Journey Circle die as a template from Pumpkin Bread Cardstock.
The pattern paper is Authentique, which I picked up at Hobby Lobby awhile ago.
The sentiment is a stamp from Fun Stampers Journey.
The whipcream on the top of the pie is tissue paper I cut into circles and stacked together and secured with a small staple.  I then ruffled up the pieces.

I hope you found some inspiration.  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Winter Advent Calendar

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is time to get ready for Christmas in just a few weeks.  Part of getting ready is having advent calendars ready to go.

I had so much fun creating this advent calendar box with a kit from Pinecone Press.  I bought this kit a long time ago, but only recently put it together.

Here is what the box looks like:

This is the other side of box, with one of the drawers pulled out.  I liked this box because the drawers are rather big so you can put a lot of stuff in there.

This is the top of the box.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a great day!

Candy Corn Treat Box

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is almost Halloween and the thing I love the most about this season is Candy Corns.

We recently had a crop here at my house and the theme was candy corns.  I had to create this cute box from Dreaming Tree.

Here is a side view:

If you have not checked out Dreaming Tree, they have some of the cutest cut files.  This one was free and it was perfect for my treat swap.

The files were so easy to cut and everyone loved the little boxes.
