Angie's Digital Stamps Challenge Blog with a Flag Twist

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy 4th of July!  I hope you have a wonderful day doing whatever makes you happy.

Today we have a new challenge at Angie's Digital Stamps Challenge Blog.  Let's see those projects with a flag twist.

I got to color up this adorable bear in his boat.

The bear and boat are colored with Copics.

Boat: E29, E27, E25, G99, G94, G24

Bear: E35, E33, E31, B29, B28, B26

I then mounted the boat on a scrap piece of water paper and added the sun behind him.

I created the flag using washi tape in my stash on a toothpick.

Simply Create Too- Sentiment as the Main Focus

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we have a new challenge at Simply Create Too where the sentiment needs to be the main focus.  This challenge was a struggle for me, but once I got my Queen and Company stacked sentiments, I knew exactly what I was going to do.

The card base was done with white cardstock and pattern paper from Doodlebug Designs.  I then wrapped some red and white baker's twine around the top layer.

I then die cut the sentiment from Glitter Fun Foam and White cardstock and layered them.  I then added them to the card front in a pattern.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment and then join the challenge at Simply Create Too Challenge Blog.

Bitten By the Bug 2: Stars Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

I know it is already the 6th, but I am still in patriotic, 4th of July mode.  Stars as the challenge for these weeks, I had to create another patriotic project.

The biggest stars are puffy stars from My Scrap Chick.  I cut these out from Doodlebug pattern paper.
I then cut the smaller ones from the basic shapes in Cricut Design Space.

I placed them all on paper straws and arranged them in a mason jar.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.  Then come share a project with 3 different size stars at Bitten By the Bug 2.

Simply Create Too- Red, White and Blue

Hello Crafty Friends,

We are well on our way into July and tomorrow it will be July 4th.  Even though this years celebrations will be different, we still can celebrate our freedom.

Today I have a card I created using Doodlebug pattern paper.

I used Fun Stampers Journey Cardstock in Candy Apple and then I used layers of different patriotic prints from Doodlebug.  I then cut out one of the icons with the truck and fireworks.
I added some Journey Glaze to the windshield and the headlights.

I finished the card by adding the sentiment strip from the icon sheet and sprinkled some Sparkle Silk from Fun Stampers Journey to the whole card.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.  Then head over to Simply Create Too and join the challenge.

Bitten By the Bug 2: Military Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy Memorial Day!   Remember the real reason for why we celebrate this day.  I hope you are making the most of the day with your family.

Today we have a new challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2.  We want to see your military makes.

I saw this idea on a Facebook group I wanted to create it.

I used the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge from Close to My Heart to create the rolled flowers.  I cut the flowers from Candy Apple, Whip Cream and Huckleberry Fusion Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then added pearls to the inside of the blue flowers for the stars.

I hot glued the flowers onto a piece of Black Licorice Cardstock, that I then placed inside the shadow box I got from Dollar Tree.

I then cut "Proud Military Family" file from Love SVG.com with my Cricut from white  and silver vinyl and placed them on the glass of the shadow box.  It is hard to see, but the stars are cut from silver vinyl.

Thank you for stopping by,  Please leave me a comment.  If you have a Cricut, come join the challenge and show us your Cricut projects.

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share another project I created for the Los Angeles County Fair.

I didn't place well, but I still love it.

Even though only got third place, I still had fun creating this banner.

Here is a closer look at the pieces.

I created this banner mainly with Doodlebug paper.  I love me some Doodlebug.

I hope I inspired you to create a banner of your own.

I then stamped my sentiment on top.

Happy 4th of July!

Hello, thanks for stopping by.  Today, I want to share my Journey Girl Locket I created for today.
The base was punched using the 1 1/4 circle punch from Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then die cut the stars using Border Details and Cranberry Bliss Cardstock.
The blue part is another 1 1/4 circle punch  punched from Huckleberry Fusion Cardstock and trimmed down.  After I had this piece cut out, I used Silver PanPastel to give it some sparkle.  I then stamped "celebrate" from Tag Elements with Whip Cream ink and then rubbed a little more Silver PanPastel over the top.
I hope you have a wonderful 4th with your family and friends.  Enjoy!

CYCI #126- A Die Challenge

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by.  Today I am sharing my very first post as a Design Team member at Can You Case It?
The challenge for this week is: A Die Challenge
hhttp://canyoucaseit.com/?p=3244
I love stars, so I knew exactly what die I wanted to use and with 4th of July coming, it was a no brainer!
I used Cranberry Bliss Cardstock for the base of the card.  I then cut a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock, slightly smaller and used this piece to create the flag.
I die cut from Border Details the strips of stars from Cranberry Bliss Cardstock.  I then die cut Star-Dom from Huckleberry Fusion Cardstock.
After the flag was put together, I splattered Silver Silk over the flag.  I added some Journey Sequins- Special Celebration to the blue star to look like stars.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment "Happy Day" from the set Howdy Notes on Whip Cream Cardstock with Huckleberry Fusion ink.  I then detail cut it out and adhered it to the card with foam squares.  Enjoy!

July Calendar

I am so embarrassed!  I totally forgot to post my calendar for this month and the month is almost over.   Here is the calendar I made for July!
It is hard to see in the picture, but the calendar side of the two page spread is covered lightly with glitter.  This is done by doing a 1:1 ratio of Journey Glaze and Water.  I sprayed the whole piece of cardstock with the mixture and then I sprinkled glitter lightly over the whole thing.
