Cup of Cheer

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a project I created using all Dollar Tree items and through the process learned a new thing on my Cricut.

I created these adorable little cups of cheer using all things you can find at Dollar Tree; red mini cups, caulk, straws, brown paint, ribbon and sprinkles.

The learning experience came in when I had to create the little cup labels.  I learned how to print and cut stickers from my Cricut.  What a fun new technique.  I can't wait to create more stickers.  I am amazed at what I can do with my Cricut.

Bitten by the Bug 2: Coffee Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is a new challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2 and the challenge is to create something with coffee.   It is my challenge which I am in charge of.

I found this fun cut file at My Scrap Chick and had to make it.

I used some red cardstock I had on hand and the pattern paper is from an old pad of paper I have had from Michael's.

I then stamped the little hot chocolate stamp from Lawn Fawn with Black Licorice ink from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then used the Fun Stampers Journey's Journey Color Burst pencils.

Here is a look at the inside.

Here is a close up of the bow and tag.

Starburst Technique Coffee Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

Have you seen the new technique of starburst cards?  I have had too much fun trying them out.

Here is the card I created using the Echo Park Coffee Collection.

The card starts with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch cardstock piece.
Each pattern piece of paper is cut at 1 1/2 x 6 and then cut on the diagonal.
Then you place the first strip down in the middle of the card and build from there.
Pretty easy.

To finish the card, I added the cup strip to the bottom of the card.  I cut this strip from one of the piece of paper.  I then added the sentiment from an icon sheet in the collection.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Coffee Buckle Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have what the pattern was called a buckle card.  Whatever name it is given, I like the fold.

The base of the card is created using Whip Cream Cardstock and Cream and Sugar pattern paper from Doodlebug Designs.

Here is the card opened.

I started with a regular 5 1/2 x 8 piece of cardstock, folded in half.  I then cut 3 inches off one flap.
I added a piece of Whip Cream cardstock measuring 3 1/2 x 4 1/4 to the front flap.  That makes the buckle.
Then I added strips of coffee bean paper to the sides of the inside and the top of the small flap.  I then added the piece of Whip Cream cardstock to the front flap and added the coffee cup pattern paper.
I die cut the coffee cup and the word coffee from Your Next Die set, Java Geek.  After I had the coffee cup together, I stamped the face on the cup from the stamp set with the same name.

Thank you stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

I hope you had a relaxing Veteran's weekend.  I am thankful for all the men and women that have fought and still fight for my freedom.  Yes, I enjoyed the day off from work, but it is more than a day to thank them.  Without them we would not have the freedoms we have.

Today, I am sharing another card using the Color Me Fall Background stamp, but in a different way.  The past few posts I have been showing you didn't colors and ways to use a background stamp.

Here is my card using the background stamp as the background for a fall coffee inspired shaker card.

Ink: Pumpkin Bread, Oatmeal Cookie
Accessories: Oatmeal Cookie Satin Ribbon, Journey Natural Twine

9/22/18

Hello Crafty Friends,

The day has come!  The first official day of Fall!  I am so happy.  If only the weather here in Southern California would cool down!  We are expected to have temperatures in the high 80's and low 90's today.  Not fall weather at all.

Maybe if I share a new fall card, it will get cooler?  I can dream!

Here is the card I want to share with you today.

This card was so fun to create.  I first stamped the background, Flannel Life, with Hazelnut Blend ink on Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock.  I ripped the top and bottom and then tied a Whip Cream Thread bow around the card.
I added the strip of Corrugated Paper to the card.  I then used that same Corrugated Paper and die cut the Coffee cup sleeve, as well as the cup and lid.
I stamped the sentiment from the Coffee Helps onto the piece of Whip Cream Cardstock and added to the card using the little paper clip.

Now, with pumpkin spice and the first official day of Fall, I feel like Fall is finally here.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Coffee Helps
Paper: Tangerine Fusion Cardstock, Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock, Corrugated Paper
Ink: Hazelnut Blend
Dies: Coffee First
Accessories: Whip Cream Thread, Tangerine Fusion Gingham Ribbon, Paper Clip Elements
