Crafty Gals Corner Challenge # 236 Halloween Colors

Hello Crafty Friends,

Fall is definitely here in Southern California and I am loving the cooler weather.  It is easy to be able to think about Halloween and Thanksgiving coming up when the weather matches the season.

Today we are starting a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner with a theme of Halloween Colors.

I was able to play with the "Halloween Tea" digital stamp from The Paper Shelter.

Here is the card I created.

The base of the card was created using Cardstock from my stash and pattern paper from Echo Park's "Halloween Party".  I then colored the image with my Copics:

Pumpkins: YR68, YR15, YR12

Inside of the pumpkins: Y15, T13, Y11

Cupcake E47, E44, E43, BV04, BV02, BV01, C1, C0

Plate: C1, C0

Handle: E57, E35, E33, C5, C3

To finish the card, I added a sticker element from the Echo Park "Halloween Party" sticker sheet and a flag.  I then added a baker's twine bow to the flag.

Now it is your turn to create a Halloween project and share it with us at Crafty Gals Corner.

Please leave me a comment before you go.

Bitten By The Bug 2: Life in 3-D

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2; Life in 3-D.  When I saw this challenge, I knew exactly what I wanted to make.

I present to you Dreaming Tree's Walt's RV.  If you have ever seen the series "Breaking Bad",  you know the RV plays an important part in the show.  My brother loved the show, so I knew I would be giving him the finished project.

I made mistakes, but my brother loved it.

Here is pictures of the other 3 sides.

The front

The other side

The back side

There is a secret compartment.

Then the RV is a box also.

This was a challenge, but a ton of fun.

Now it is your turn.  Create something 3-D and share it with us on Bitten By the Bug 2.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Happy New Year- Love to Craft Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy New Year!  I hope today finds you doing well and looking forward to the new year.  A new year, a new decade and a new month is always a great restart.

Today, I want to share with you a snowman banner I created for a banner swap we did in our crafty crop group last month.

Here is what the whole banner looks like.  I used the Say Freeze paper pack and my Cricut to create this project.

Here is the first two banner pieces.  I found the words and the snowman within the paper pack.  The words were actually from a border piece of paper.   I then added some snowflakes from my stash.

I used my Cricut to cut out the peppermints in green and white to be used as the background.  I then cut the letters for JOY out with my Cricut and some glitter cardstock.  The bows were from my stash, left over from another project.

This is the last piece of the banner.  Again, I used the border of a piece of the paper pack to cut out this snowman.  I added some more snowflakes from my stash.

I tied the banner together using red tulle.  The recipient loved it and I loved creating it.

Come and join us at the Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  You can join here.

Happy New Year!

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy St. Patrick's Day.  I have a very sweet card to share with you today.

I had fun creating this card.
The base of the card is Butter Cream Cardstock, with a layer of Lemon Grass Cardstock and then a layer of Through the Year prints.
I then wrapped a piece of Lemon Grass Thread around the card and tied a bow.
I stamped the jars from the All Year Long stamp set on a piece of Buttercream Cardstock in River Stone ink and then stamped the jars again using Lemon Grass, Kiwi Slice and Fresh Forest inks.  I then detail cut out the three shamrock and glued them onto the jars.  I placed the jars on the card with foam squares.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set with Black Licorice ink on to the card.
I finished the card by adding some Sparkle Silk to the jars.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey and can be purchased here.

I don't know about you but, coffee is good anytime of the year.  I want to share a card with you today that is for someone I love who loves coffee too.
The base of the card is Hazelnut Blend Cardstock, a layer of Buttercream Cardstock that I distressed with Hazelnut Blend ink and a layer of Autumn Prints Pattern Paper.  I tied an Oatmeal Cookie Satin Ribbon around the layers and tied a knot,  I then added the Heart Button to the top using Journey Natural Twine.

CYCI#134 Pet Sketch Challenge

Today we have another challenge at Can You Case It?   It is a pet challenge, so get those cat and dog stamps out and join us this week.
http://canyoucaseit.com/?p=3319
Here is the card I created:

The base of the card is Oatmeal Cookie and Black Licorice Cardstock.  On the top layer of Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock, I created my own pattern paper using the paw print stamp from Cats and Dogs and Black Licorice Ink.

To make the paws a little lighter, I first inked up the stamp and stamped once on the clear block and then onto my paper.
I then added a strip of Black Licorice Cardstock to the top.  I stamped the dog from the Cats and Dogs set with Dark Roast ink on Butter Cream Cardstock.  I colored the dog using the Rich Sorbet PanPastels.
Next, I stamped with Clear Pigment ink the word "woof" from the Cats and Dogs set onto Black Licorice Cardstock and heat embossed it with Journey White Embossing Powder.  I then cut them out on an angle and used foam squares to adhere them to the card.
To finish the card, I wrapped some Black Licorice Twine around the card and tied a bow.  It is had to tell from the picture, but I also added some Journey Glaze to the eyes.
I hope you will plan to join us this week and show us your loving pets.  Enjoy!
