Mix It Up Challenge Blog- Anything Goes with a 3D twist

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Mix it Up Challenge Blog.  We want to see your 3-D projects.  No flat projects here, we want to see the dimension!

Yesterday, I shared a baby banner I created for a Baby Shower that never happened because of the pandemic.  Today, I want to share just a few pages of the almost 29 page album I created for the family with the continued theme from the banner.

Here is the cover.  The theme was hot air balloons.

On the front cover  I created the background using my Cricut.  I then ran some rose ribbon around the far left side.  I cut and assembled the hot air balloons from Miss Kate's Cuttables and placed them in the right top corner.  To finish it, I added some pink and white flowers around the bottom.

Here is a few pages.

I made them kind of generic since I did not know the Mom-to-Be, but I wanted them to be easy for her to just add her photos.

I had fun making this project.  Now it is your turn to create something that is not flat, and has some dimension.  Share it with is at Mix it Up Challenge Blog.  Also, please leave me a comment.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

 Hello Crafty Friends,

New month brings new challenges to the Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  As always, the theme is "Anything Goes", so get creative.

This month I am sharing a banner I made for a Baby shower that never happened. I create a couple of custom pieces for this baby shower, but the pandemic hit and the event was cancelled.  The items were delivered to the family, but the shower never happened.

I created this banner pieces using an old Close to My Heart Cricut cartridge called Art Philosophy and my Cricut. I then used doilies cut in half for the top of the banner pieces.  For a different look, I attached paper straws, cut to length on the top of the banner pieces and ran the twine through the straws.

I embellished the end pieces with pink baby feet on each side.

I loved creating it and the family loved receiving it.
Now it is your turn.  Create a new project and share it with us at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Please also leave me a comment.

P.S. I am sharing the album for this project in my post for tomorrow, November 2nd!

Bitten by the Bug 2 in Collaboration with Double Trouble Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

The challenge for the next two weeks on Bitten by the Bug 2 is a collaboration with Double Trouble Challenge Blog.  The theme is baby, so I wanted to make this adorable onesie box from My Scrap Chick.

I used cardstock from my stash and pattern paper from Fun Stampers Journey's Good Life collection.

I cut everything out with my Cricut and then created the box first.

I then put the little vest and tie on to the top using foam squares.  For an added dimension, I added some blue buttons from my stash.

I finished the box off by adding stitched lines with a white pen around the edges.

The box is a nice size and would be perfect for a small gift or candy.

Now it is your turn.  Check out the information on Bitten by the Bug 2 and create your own Baby project and share it with us.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Get Creative Challenge- Carnival

Hello Crafty Friends,

I had fun with this stamp from Eureka Stamps.

I chose to make this card for a new baby, so I colored these animals with Copic markers being true till the natural colors.

Zebra: T8, T6, T4

Elephant: C5, C3, C1

Giraffe: Y19, Y15, Y11, E37, E33, R37, R35

I then used come cardstock and pattern paper from my stash to create the card base.  I used some yellow bakers twine for the bow and placed a few Echo Park Enamel Dots to the front.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment and then join the challenge at Get Creative Challenge Blog.

Bitten by the Bug 2- Feels Like Fall

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have come to one of my favorite seasons, Fall!  I love all things fall.  I love the colors, smells, and of course the activities.  One of my favorite things to do to welcome in the fall season is visit the local apple orchards.  It is not fall until I have seen the trees changing color, had warm apple cider and had some kind of dessert with apples.

So the project I have to share today is one I think would be perfect for an infant that is ready to experience the apple season.

This svg file is from Love SVG and I thought it was absolutely adorable.  Don't you agree?

Now it is your turn.  Please create a project that represents Fall for you and join us over at Bitten By the Bug 2.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Welcome Baby

Hello Crafty Friends,

Doesn't seem like everyone is having babies and getting pregnant lately?  I guess it is only me.

So, I thought I better have some baby cards ready.

Here is the card I created.

This card is a double-z card.  Here is what the inside looks like:

I actually really like the color combo I used.  It is also great for a couple that do not know what the gender of the baby is.

All Supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey, except for the pattern paper.  The pattern paper is from Simple Stories.

I tried something a little different and instead of matting the image in the center of the card, I layered the piece to the bottom right hand corner.

I colored the onesie with my copic markers:
Onesie:  RV34, RV32, RV11
Heart: R59, R46, R24

Cardstock is from Fun Stampers Journey and can be purchased here.
Pattern paper is from my stash.

I hope you will come join the challenge.

3/27/19

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a new mommy card to share with you.

The card base is Whip Cream Cardstock with a layer of Good Life Pattern paper.
I then placed a piece of lace towards the bottom of the card and layered a Whip Cream Cardstock circle, cut with Journey Circles.  I stamped the sentiment from the Baby Prints stamp set and Rustic Rose ink.
I then stamped the baby feet from the same stamp set with Rustic Rose ink on a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock and used the matching dies to cut them out.  I placed these on the card using foam squares.
To finish the card, I added a few pearls.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey and can be purchased here.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
My Time to Craft Challenge- Mother's Day or for a female.
Crafty Sentiments Designs- ATG
Lemon Shortbread Challenge- ATG

2/13/18

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is the time for babies in the lives of my friends.  I have some many friends that are pregnant or have newborns.  With all these new babies, I had to create a baby card.  You will notice that I did it in a generic color because I wasn't quite sure who I was going to send it to.

I created the background with the ink and stamp, by randomly stamping the images all over the Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then added a piece of vellum by punching holes at the top and running ribbon through the holes.
I stamped the feet on a separate piece of Whip Cream Cardstock and die cut them out.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Baby Prints
Paper: Whip Cream Cardstock, Pineapple Smoothie Cardstock, Journey Vellum
Ink: Pineapple Smoothie, River Stone
Dies:  Baby Prints
Accessories:  Pineapple Smoothie Gingham Ribbon
