Love and Laughter Forever

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Today's card is a rather simple one, but one that is quite elegant.

Stampin up as part of the Forever Fern bundle have two long and skinny embossing folders.  I took the leaf one and ran it across the card base.  I thought it added some texture to the cardbase.

I then layered the white cardstock and pattern paper on top with foam squares.  Next, I stamped my sentiment and added it to the card,  The pattern paper in this bundle is gorgeous, so I wanted to feature it.

Bitten by The Bug 2: Wedding or Anniversary

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we have a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2.  The challenge is to use your Cricut to create something for a wedding or anniversary.

I decided to create the first page of a wedding album I am going to start working on.

I used a file from Miss Kate's Cuttables file for the flower embellishments on either side of picture.

The cardstock for the letters and the matte for the picture are cut from Pearled Basics Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.
The lettering is from DJ Inkers cut with the Pearled Basics cardstock.

Simple, but great for a title page.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.  Then join the challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2 and show us your Cricut makes.

To get the glittery hearts across the bottom of the card, I die cut the Heart Strip from Candy Apple Cardstock and then placed a piece of White Liner Sheet on a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock and attached the Heart Strip to the top.  I then added Journey Sparkle Dust to the hearts that were exposed!

Here is a closer shot of the card.

I added Journey Sparkle Dust to the donuts and even added some Sparkle Silk to the whole card.   The heart embellishments are a Bloom Benefit right now in our Bloom this Way catalog.

The planner clip was made with the same stamp set, Donut Worry.  The only thing I added was the milk glass and some Journey Glaze to the milk.

2/7/18

Hello Crafty Friends,

We are well into February and it is all about love.  If you have been following me, I told you in a post last month that I would be creating more Doodlebug Banners this year.  I did not lie.  Today I am sharing my LOVE banner with you.

Here is a close up one of the letter pieces.  Notice the sparkly hearts?  I made those with Cardstock, White Liner sheets and Journey Sparkle Dust.
First, I covered a piece of cardstock with a White Liner sheet.  Before I pulled the second layer of backing off the the sheet, I used the Love is punch, and punched out the little hearts.  Once they were cut out, I pulled the backing off and rubbed Journey Sparkle Dust on each heart!

Here is a close up of the end pieces.

This is where I added my ribbon, heart chips and flowers.I also used the lace die from Border Details and die cut it out of Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then snipped the little holes and attached it to the ends of the heart.  I will be honest, it was not a quick process, but the end result looks awesome.

Of course the pattern paper is Doodlebug and all of the accessories are Fun Stampers Journey.

Supplies Used:
Paper: Watermelon Fusion Cardstock, Candy Apple Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock, White Liner Sheets
Dies: Heart-felt, Border Details
Tools: Love is punch
Accessories: Journey Sparkle Dust, Forever Heart Chips, Bubble Gum Satin Ribbon, Media Flowers

2/5/18

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is the start of a new week and you know what that means.  It is time for a new Weekly Spread.

Today I went with a silly Valentine's Day theme.

I used the Love Bandit Stamp set to create my layout this week.  I colored him with Color Burst pencils.  One thing I really like about this layout is, I changed my "Things to do" icons to hearts this week.  I also love the police line up stamp behind him.  I masked this stamp with the Love Bandit stamp to get the look I was looking for.

Have a "lovely" day!

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Love Bandit
Ink: Black Licorice, Cranberry Bliss, Watermelon Fusion
Silk: Bubble Gum
Colored with Color Burst Pencils

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share with you a wedding or anniversary card.

I just love this stamp.  I love the simple look of it.
To create the base of this card, I first took the piece of Candy Apple Cardstock and pierced either side of it by using one of the Journey Rectangles piercing die.  I then adhered this piece to the card base of Bubble Gum Cardstock and then splattered Black Licorice silk over the top.  I then built the card from there.
The hearts on the cake are colored with Color Burst Pencils and then I went over the top with a little Sparkle Silk.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Wedding Bliss ATS, Everyday Script
Paper: Bubble Gum Cardstock, Candy Apple Cardstock, Black Licorice Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock
Ink: Black Licorice
Silk: Black Licorice, Sparkle
Dies:  Everyday Script, Journey Rectangles
Accessories: Rhinestone, Heart Sparkle Dots, Black Licorice Twine, Special Day Organza Ribbon,
Colored with Color Burst Pencils

Bringing Paper to Life

Image may contain: text

Welcome to the Journey Blog Hoppers Hop! We will be Bringing Paper to Life with our 2017-2018 Idea Book & Catalog Release Theme!  I'm so happy you're hoppin' along.
If you have arrived here from Sharon’s blog, you're on the right track.  If not, that's ok too! Just continue the hop and you'll come full circle!

I absolutely love the details on our NEW Mystic Romance Collection.  Richard tried to duplicate the details of an embroidered image.  I think he hit the ball out of the park with this one.
I couldn't wait to play with this paper.  Here is the card I created:

To create this card, I used the Beach Towel Embossing Folder to add texture to the piece of Cranberry Bliss Cardstock I used as the base for my card.  I then added a strip of the black pattern paper from the Mystic Romance Prints down the middle and Silver Sparkle tape along the sides.  I splattered a little bit of Silver Silk on the base of the card for more texture.

For the flowers, I stamped the Embroidered Rose with Cranberry Bliss ink and Fresh Forest ink on Whip Cream Cardstock.  There is a die to match, so I die cut each of the pieces out using the Embroidered Rose Die.

Richard even included a sentiment stamp set , "Embroidered Greetings" which also has the detail of stitching.  I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice ink on Whip Cream Cardstock and detail cut it out.  I added this to the top of a Journey Circle cut from Whip Cream Cardstock.

I had so much fun creating this card, I decided to create a two page spread for my Journey Album.

Thank you from stopping by today.  Please be sure to head over to Heather’s blog next.

An Anniversary Card

Today I want to share an anniversary card I made for some special friends that are celebrating their anniversary this week.
Back in June, at the Fun Stampers Journey Convention, one of our projects was using this squirrel.  I fell in love with this squirrel and the sentiment.  I knew I needed to make a card and I knew who I wanted to make it for.  The sentiment is, "The only part of my life I am sure about is the one I share with you".
It is hard to see in the picture, but I added Journey glaze to the two squirrels and the hearts above them.   I hope they enjoy the card as much as I had making it for them.
