Crafty Gals Corner- Challenge #248- Halloween Colors

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we have a new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner.  The theme is Halloween colors.  I loved coloring this cute "Witch's Brew" image from Leann's World 101

I have to admit that I had a little bit of trouble coloring this image.  Here is the image and card I created.

I actually colored this image up twice, because I could not figure out the ears. I surveyed my design teamies and we decided that the two things on her head under the hat were in fact ears.

I used the following Copics to color this cute cat in a witch's brew.
Skin: E11, E21, E51, E50
Hair: R59, YR27, TR23
Hat and Dress: BV08, V17, V15
Brew and Hearts: G24, YG03, YG11
Mug and Spoon: 100, C9, C7, C5, C3, C1
Paw print: YR16, YR14, YR09
Ears: R32, R22, YR09, YR16, YR14
Eyes: G28, G24, G20

This image challenged me with the ears and the eyes, but challenge accepted.  The card base was created with pattern paper from Simple Stories and purple glitter cardstock from Michaels.

Now leave me a comment and then share your Halloween projects over at Crafty Gals Corner with us.

Hello Crafty Friends,

Fall is definitely here in Southern California and I am loving the cooler weather.  It is easy to be able to think about Halloween and Thanksgiving coming up when the weather matches the season.

Today we are starting a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner with a theme of Halloween Colors.

I was able to play with the "Halloween Tea" digital stamp from The Paper Shelter.

Here is the card I created.

The base of the card was created using Cardstock from my stash and pattern paper from Echo Park's "Halloween Party".  I then colored the image with my Copics:

Pumpkins: YR68, YR15, YR12

Inside of the pumpkins: Y15, T13, Y11

Cupcake E47, E44, E43, BV04, BV02, BV01, C1, C0

Handle: E57, E35, E33, C5, C3

To finish the card, I added a sticker element from the Echo Park "Halloween Party" sticker sheet and a flag.  I then added a baker's twine bow to the flag.

Now it is your turn to create a Halloween project and share it with us at Crafty Gals Corner.

Crafty Gals Corner- Halloween Colors

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is almost Halloween and what a great new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.  I don't do scary Halloween, so I sent for this cute candy corn digital stamp from Stamper's Delight.

The digital stamp is called Kawaii- So Corny.  I had so much fun coloring up these adorable candy corns, which just happen to be my favorite candy this time of year.

I paired these cuties with my favorite paper line, Doodlebug Designs and created this adorable Halloween card for a little boy.

I colored the Candy Corns with my Copics:

Yellow: Y38, Y17, Y19

Orange: YR09, YR07, YR04

Inside it says:

I think he will get a laugh out of this card.

Bitten By the Bug 2: Witches and Ghouls

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2 and it is all about Halloween.  Witches and Ghouls are the scary part of Halloween and can be popular among people.  If you know anything about me, I do not do scary for Halloween, so this was a stretch.

I decided on making this Candy Treat box from Dreaming Tree and gifted it to a friend.

It is larger than I expected but, pretty easy to put together.

Here is a close up of the front of the box.

Here is a close up the back picture with the ghouls.

I used cardstock I had on hand to create the box.  It is hard to tell from the pictures, but the ghosts are cut from white glitter cardstock.

Now it is your turn.  Create a Halloween project with your Cricut including witches and ghouls and share it with us at Bitten By the Bug 2.

FYI, she loved it!

Bitten By the Bug 2 Recycling Challenge

 Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a unique challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge Blog.  Let's see what projects we can come up with recycling.

I reused a Folgers Coffee Container.

I painted the container and created a Halloween candy container.

I used a cut file from Miss Kate's Cuttables to create the face and cut from vinyl.  I had to fussy cut the hair to fit the container, but used the rest of the file as is.

I even put vinyl bolts on the sides.  I drew with a Sharpie the stitches and the smile.

I can't wait to use this container to give out candy this year.

Now it is your turn.  Create something from something else and share it with us at Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge Blog.

I used Black Licorice cardstock and pattern paper from Doodlebug Designs to create the card base.  I then used a piece of green glitter ribbon from my stash across the card.

I die cut a Journey Circle from Whip Cream cardstock, both from Fun Stampers Journey, and attached the Doodlebug matching stickers to the half circle.

To finish the card I added the sentiment, that I stamped from a set from Fun Stampers Journey with Black Licorice ink on Tangerine Fusion Cardstock.

Mickey Mouse Pumpkin

 Hello Crafty friends,

If you know me, I love anything Disney and Mickey Mouse, so when I saw this cute SVG cut from Treasure Box Designs, I had to create with it.

I used some Doodlebug designs pattern paper for the base of the card and then cut the Mickey Mouse pumpkin out with my Cricut.  I distressed the pumpkin pieces to add depth.

I then stamped the Happy from the Jack O'Lantern stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey.  I added the colorful Halloween from the Doodlebug stickers that match this collection to the top.

Thanks for stopping by,  Please comment on my post.

Happy Halloween Pumpkins

 Hello Crafty Friends,

I have a fun card to share with you today.  This one is a half front card.

The front is made with pattern paper from Authentique and then a crop of cute little jack o' lanterns, which I stamped and cut from Fun Stampers Journey.

The half part comes in when you open the card.

The pumpkins are anchored to the front flap and leaves the whole back for a message.   I stamped the sentiment from the same set from Fun Stampers Journey called Jack O'Lanterns.

A fun and easy card.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Bats in the Trees

 Hello Crafty Friends,

I have a Spooky Card to share with you today.  I just love this birch tree stamp from Fun Stampers Journey, that when I saw a card similar to this one on Pinterest, I knew I had to make one.

I started out by stamping the Birch trees with Black Licorice ink onto Grape Fusion Cardstock.  I then matted this onto a piece of Whip Cream cardstock and then onto a piece of Doodlebug Designs Pattern paper.

I then wrapped some purple glitter ribbon around the card and added a silver glitter ribbon bow on top.

I cut the bats from Black Licorice cardstock from the Snapshot Frames die set from Fun Stampers Journey.  I also die cut a circle with the Journey Circles from Fun Stampers Journey out of vellum for the moon.

I added the moon with a little glue behind the bats wings and then glued the bats down with glue on their bodies.  To add texture, I bent the wings up slightly.

I added the die cut Boo! cut from Black Licorice Cardstock and the Snapshot Frames Die set.  The spider is part of the matching stickers for the collection.

Happy Halloween Parade

 Hello Crafty Friends,

I have another simple but fun Halloween card using the cute Doodlebug Designs paper and stickers.

I made the parade with the matching stickers to this paper line from Doodlebug Designs.   The sentiment is stamped with Black Licorice ink on Whip Cream Cardstock with the stamp from the Jack O'Lantern stamp set, all from Fun Stampers Journey.

I thought this card would be most appropriate for this year.  With parades being the thing to celebrate birthday's, I think Halloween parades will be the thing for Halloween this year.

Trick or Treat Halloween Card

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share a simple Halloween card I created with Doodlebug Designs pattern paper.

I love the stickers that match this paper line.  I made the little "City" with the stickers.  I added a piece of silver glitter ribbon along the bottom and the sentiment is matching stickers as well.

Simple but cute.  Halloween does not have to be spooky and scary.  I tend to lean toward cute and sweet.

Bitten By the Bug 2: Halloween

 Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2 and the challenge is Halloween.  I tried my hand at a bigger vinyl project this month.

I started with a blank pizza pan from Dollar Tree.  I then cut the file from Miss Kate's Cuttables with my Cricut in the different colors of vinyl.  I changed the order a little bit to accommodate the pan shape.

I then added a black, orange and purple bow to the top.  I hot glued the ribbon tails to the sides of the pan so you could read the words.

This was a time consuming project to get everything so straight and out together so they all fit on the pan, but the results are great.  I will definitely be trying this type of project again.

Now it is your turn.  Break out your Cricut and create a Halloween project and share it with us at Bitten By the Bug 2.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Stampin Friends Fall/Outdoor/Halloween Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop! This month’s theme is Fall/Outdoor/Haloween.  If you are following along the hop, you have arrived from Kim's blog. Be sure to read through my blog, comment below and continue to Tiziana's blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find a list of Blog Hoppers at the end of each Blog.

Here are the Halloween projects I created for this month’s hop.

Up first is the card I created.

I used cardstock from Fun Stanmpers Journey and pattern paper from Pebbles to create the base of the card.  I used Black Licorice Twine around the sentiment I stamped from Jack O'Lantern set in Black Licorice ink from Fun Stampers Journey on Butter Cream Cardstock.
I then used my Cricut to cut out the cute ghost image from Treasure Box Designs.

A fun and spooky card.

For my project, I created a door hanger that I can stuff with treats and give to my neighbor for Halloween.

The hanger itself is a Cricut file I had.  I then cut the same pattern paper from Pebbles for the background.    The ghost image is cut from a file from Treasure Box Designs.

I finished the box off by stamping the "Boo" from the JackO'Lantern set from Fun Stampers Journey with Black Licorice ink on Butter Cream Cardstock and placed them around the ghost.

To finish the project off, I stamped the "Happy Halloween" on Orange Creamcicle cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey from the Happy Halloween ATS with Black Licorice ink.  I then detail cut the words out and popped it up on the pocket.

I hope you liked the projects I shared and you will have some ideas after continuing with the hop.  Please leave me a comment and keep on hopping.
