Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends

We are one month closer to Christmas and one more card done.  I love Christmas, so Christmas cards are so much fun to create, I created a simple card this month.

The card panel is a foil-it from Taylored Expressions with a matching stencil.  I created the image with Gold foil and then stenciled with Spearmint, Cherry Pop and Cilantro.

To finish the card I added some small gold pearls to the little dots in the image.

Clean and simple, yet striking.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a card I created using some products from Pink Fresh Studios.

The envelope is a die, which I cut out and then stenciled the outline detail with red ink.

I then stamped the gifts and greenery stamps with black ink and stenciled them with the stencil set.  I then die cut them out and created this arrangement with the images.

I stamped and die cut the sentiment and popped it up on the envelope.

I finished the card by adding the envelope to a piece of pine needle paper from my stash.

I also created a "green" one too.

Crafty Gals Corner- Challenge # 258 Anything Goes with a Twist- Embossing Folder

Hello Crafty Friends,

August is in full swing and soon the kids are going back to school and we all get back on a schedule.  The summer is for relaxing and taking some time to reflect.  This summer was not usual for me, but I still got some time to craft.

One thing I did not do this summer was visit the beach.  The card I created helps me to visit the beach in a way.

The image I chose to work with this month is an image from The Paper Shelter titled "Dipping a Toe".

Here is the card I created with this adorable image.

I started out by creating the background using stencils from Lawn Fawn called Beach Sunset.  I stenciled the sun and water directly on my card base piece.  I then stenciled the palm trees from the same stencil on a different piece of paper and cut them out.  The sand is a piece of cardstock.

I then colored the image with my Copics:

Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00

Hair: E57, E53, E29

Sand: E35, E34, E31

Shell: E37

Water: B05, B02

Floaties: R22, R21, R20, RV29

Inner Tube: RV29, RV25, RV23

Duck: YR68, YR65, Y19, Y15, Y13

Starfish: YR14, YR15

Bikini: R29, R24, R05

Now it is your turn.  Leave me a comment and then create a project and it you want add the twist of using an embossing folder to it.n. Share it with us at Crafty Gals Corner.  Thanks for stopping by,

Fall Leaves

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is finally starting to feel like fall in Southern California.  Even though we don't get to see many trees change colors and have the fun of running in the leaves, I can still have fun creating with leaves.

I created the background using a retired embossing folder from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then rubbed over the top with Hazelnut Blend ink.

The leaves were created using the dies set Seasonal Foliage die set from Cricut: Cuttlebug.  I die cut the leaves out and then while the paper was still in the die, I used the ink to stencil the veins on the leaves.

I then crinkled the leaves a little to make them look a little more real.

To finish the card, I tried  a knot with raffia and added a twine bow.

1/14/18

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope your January is going well.
I have a new birthday card to share with you.

To make the background, I used the Gel Press and the Ring Stacks stencil.  I first took some Candy Apple Acrylic Paint, and painted a layer onto the Gel Press.  I then laid the stencil into the paint.  I then placed my piece of Whip Cream Cardstock over the stencil and pulled the print.  Easy!  Just leave it to dry and you have your own pattern paper.

To create the stamped image, I stamped the HB onto the Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then took a small dauber and Candy Apple ink and dabbed the circles down the "Happy".

Supplies Used:
Stamp: HB
Paper: Whip Cream Cardstock, Beach Ball Cardstock
Ink: Black Licorice, Candy Apple
Paint: Candy Apple
Stencil: Ring Stacks
Silk: Sparkle
Tools: Gel Press, Small Dauber
Accessories: Journey Twine- Licorice Twist, Candy Apple Satin Ribbon
