God is on your side

Sometimes I have to remind myself that God is always on my side and He loved me so much to die for me.  Today's card reminds me of this truth.

The base of the card is made from Lemon Grass Cardstock.  I then cut a piece of Sweet Berry Cardstock and Spring Parade Pattern paper.  On a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock I stamped the wreath using the Lead Me stamp set.

I started by drawing a circle on the Cardstock.  I then took the 3 branch/leaf stamps in Kiwi Slice, Limeade Splash and Lemon Grass Ink.

On a separate piece of Whip Cream Cardstock, I stamped the 3 flowers with Sweet Berry Ink and fussy cut them out.

I added the Whip Cream thread to the card by punching a small hole on the fold of the card.  I knotted the thread and added a piece of Bubble Gum Satin Ribbon, then tied a bow.

To finish the card, I added dimension to the flowers by doing a swirl motion on the back of the petals with my Bloom Tool.  I then added them to the card with foam squares and added Journey Glaze and Journey Sparkle Dust to the centers.  Enjoy!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  It's a new year, with new goals and dreams.  Every year I choose a word that I focus on during the year.  My word for 2016 is BELIEVE!  I hope to live up to this word this year.  Now, let me share with you a card I created to celebrate the New Year!

The base of the card is made from Black Licorice Cardstock.  I cut a layer of Whip Cream Cardstock and stamped the background stamp Thread Sketch with Black Licorice Ink.  I then added a few stripes of Journey Basics Black and White Paper.  I then placed a piece of Black Licorice on top to the right side.
Taking the Ink Splat ATS, I stamped with Lemon Drop Ink on Whip Cream Cardstock randomly.  Then I took the firework stamp from the  Happy New Year ATS (retired) and stamped it on top of the splats with Rock Candy Ink.  I stamped Happy New Year from the same ATS with Black Licorice Ink to the bottom right and used to foam squares to attach this to the card.
To finish the card, I added two Shooting Star Elements (Bloom Benefits) to the bottom right corner and Journey Glaze and Journey Sparkle Dust to the fireworks.  Enjoy!  And Happy New Year!
