Crafty Gals Corner- Challenge #273- Anything Goes with a Snowman twist

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome to 2026 and a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.  I hope you are crafting the new year in and loving every minute.  I have big goals this year, crafting wise.  Stay tuned.

Today we start the year at Crafty Gals Corner with a new challenge "Anything Goes with a Snowman Twist".  Snowmen are my favorite, so I had a hard time coming up with just one project to share.  I could fill a whole month of Snowmen projects.

I chose this stunning card I created.

I used the Lawn Fawn set "Snowball Fight" and went out of my comfort zone and used pink as the theme for this card.

The background was created using Distress inks and splattered some sparkle silk.  I then colored the image using my Copics, cut them out and layered them to create this fun scene.  I love the sentiment that goes with this set, "We have snow much fun together".  These mice really do know how to have fun in the snow.

Now it is your turn.  Leave me a comment  and then create a project and try adding a snowman to it and share it with us over at Crafty Gals Corner.  We would love to see your creations.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Hello crafty friends

New month and less than 6 months till Christmas.  How are you doing on being ready with your Christmas cards?  I am still very much behind, but I wanted to share a card I created recently.

Here is the card created.  I used mostly supplies and product from Lawn Fawn.

The card base is a piece of light blue cardstock from my stash and some pearly cardstock from my stash as well.

I then die cut the birdhouse pieces from the Build a Birdhouse die set from Lawn Fawn and the window from the Winter Wonderland Window die set from Lawn Fawn.  I colored the Christmas lights red and green with the Ohuhu markers.

I then colored the birds from the Winter Birds stamp set from Lawn Fawn using my Ohuhu markers.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from the Winter Birds set with Black ink on white card stock and added it to the card.

One more card completed.  Please leave me a comment and then share with us a new Christmas card you have created at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

New month and a new Christmas card to share.  I created this card for a swap I was a part of and ended up making 12 of these.  Lots of work, but so worth it.

This card was created with the Spellbinders "Winter Label Motif" die set.  I cut each piece out using paper in my stash and layered them up.

The card base was created using an embossing folder from Stampin Up.  I then used some teal paper and a white grosgrain ribbon to create the bow.

Not a lot of instructions, but a stunning card if I might say.

Now, it is your turn, create a Christmas card and join us for the challenge at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog.  Also, don't forget to leave me a comment.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #251- Winter Fun

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is the winter season and it has been pretty chilly here in Southern California.  I think the high's have been in the high 50's, low 60's and at night around the 40's.  That is cold, but I love it.  The new challenge at Crafty Gals is all about fun- winter fun!

I received this cute image from Poladoodles titled "Build a Snowman- Theo Penguin", and I had so much fun coloring it,

I colored the image with my Copic markers:
Snow: BG75, BG72, BG11
Carrot: YR09, YR16, YR15, YG07, YG05
Sticks: E25, E23
Penguin: C9, C7. C5, C1, C00, 100
Cardinal: R59, R46, R35
Scarf: V17, V15, V12

The card base is made with black cardstock, a white pattern from Lawn Fawn's Knit Picky 6 x 6 paper pad and stripes cut with dies from Taylored Expressions.

Mix It Up Challenge Blog- optional Mixed Media

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy New Year! A new year is upon us and makes me think about all the things I want to learn in the new year. Our challenge this month is one I would love to learn more about- mixed media. Here is the card I created to get my feet wet.

I saw this card on a video from Taylored Expressions and thought I would try it. I loved the colors, which drew me to the card.

I first stamped the Winter Village image and stamped it on the white cardstock with Clear Versamark.  I then used white embossing powder to heat emboss the image.

Then I took my blender brushes and two different blue inks and created the background.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Merriest Christmas stamp set with the darkest blue ink.  I then splattered white paint and some glitter to create the stars.

Thank you for stopping by,  Please leave me a comment and then join the challenge at Mix it Up Challenge Blog.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #239 Winter Fun

 Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are having a wonderful new year, full of goals and crafty projects. We have a new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner, starting today. The challenge is "Winter Fun".

I played with the image from Leann's World named "Erica" this month.

When I was a little girl, I was mesmerized by the ice skaters and had a dream of once being an ice skater.  I got on the ice once and could not stand up.  "Erica" on the other hand I think is a beautiful ice skater. Here is the card I created with her.

The background of the card was made using "Build a Scene- Snow Drift" die set from Taylored Expressions and different shades of blue cardstock.

I then added some "Fresh Snow" medium also from Taylored Expressions to the top of the white layer of cardstock.

To finish the background, I added some Jolene's snowflake stickers, some Sparkle silk and the sentiment from Lawn Fawn stamped in Black ink.

Erica was colored with Copics:

Skin: E21, E00, E000

Hair: E27, E33, E31

Dress: B05, B01, B000

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment and then join the challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

Today we have a new challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  The theme is always anything goes and today I have a fun shaker card to share.

I created the background with a background stamp from Taylored Expressions.  I then colored the snowman hats and noses with my markers.

To make the shaker part, I added a cellophane bag to the card, only attaching it on three sides.  I then added my sparkle elements and then sealed up the fourth side.  I fun shaker without all the bulk of foam tape.

I finished the card by adding one of the snowmen from the background and a sentiment I stamped with black ink from Taylored Expressions.

Thank you for visiting.  Please leave me a comment and then join the challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Crafty Gals Corner- Challenge #233- Christmas in July

Hello Crafty Friends,

It's July and why not play with some Christmas images?  I love Christmas, so to me it was a treat to pull out that Christmas paper and design a card using the sweet "Finn's Hot Chocolate" digital stamp from Beccy's Place.

I pulled out my Copics and Christmas paper from Carta Bella and got to work. Here is the card I created.

I colored "Finn" with the following Copics:

Body: 100, C9, C7, C5, C3, C1 and C00.

Beak: YR16, YR15

Socks: R59, R46

Mug: G29, G28, G24

The sentiment "happiness is hot chocolate" came with the digital stamp.

I created a simple layout with the pattern paper and attached some pearls to finish the card.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment. Then join the challenge at Crafty Gals Corner and share your Christmas cards with us.  It is never too early to start.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am so excited to be joining the Merry Little Christmas Design Team as well.  I love all things Christmas, so being able to create Christmas cards throughout the year will be so much fun.

So let's get started with my first Christmas card in July...

This card was created using the Holiday Jars die set from Queen and Company. I bought the kit last year and I am just getting around to use it.

Everything on the card was included in the kit, except the scallop die I used for behind the jar (Fun Stampers Journey-retired) and the white card stock for the scallop and the sentiment strip.  I used some "faux" snow from Dollar Tree to put in the jar.

I love making shakers and Christmas is a great reason to make cute shaker cards.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Then, join us at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and share your Christmas cards.

Crafty Gals Corner- Snow Much Fun Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.  The challenge is Snow Much Fun.  I know many people are covered in snow, but here in Southern California we have been hit by lots of rain, but our mountains have been blessed with snow.  I love snow as long as I don't have to shovel it or have to try to drive in it.  I guess I am a snow lover from afar.

With our challenge being "Snow Much Fun", I was excited to get to color up with beautiful and cute "Ice Skater" by Twinkle Lane Designs.

I used my Copics to color this image:

Ice: B00, B000, B0000

Skin: E11, E21, E51

Eyes: B93, B91

Outfit: V17, V15, V12

Hair: E49, E44, E43

The background was created with dies from Lawn Fawn and I added Stickles to the mountain tops for the snow.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.  Then join us at Crafty Gals Corner with your own "Snow Much Fun" creation.

Bitten By the Bug 2- Any Holiday

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Christmas is close and I am excited.  I love the anticipation of the whole season.  I love the lights, the trees and how everyone gets "dressed up" for the occasion.  This month our pastor is teaching on the history and theology behind key Christmas Carols and it has made the seasons so much more special for me.

To celebrate the season, I created this little 5 x 5 shadow box I picked up at Michaels.  I know exactly what I wanted to use it for.

I used a SVG from Design Bundles and cut it out of white and silver vinyl.  It is hard to see, but the word Christmas, down the center is written in silver glitter.  Why silver you ask, because I prefer silver over gold.

I added some gingham lace around the edges of the frame and used snowflakes to add interest.

The verse is perfect for the season and this is the try reason for Christmas.

Happy Holidays to your family.

Bitten by the Bug 2: Snowflakes

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2 today and we are using snowflakes.  It has been pretty hot the last few days here in Southern California, so it is pretty easy to be thinking about snowflakes and snow and snowmen at this time.

If you know me, I had to use Olaf on my project, so I broke out my Frozen Cricut cartridge and created this door hanging.

The large snowflake background is a wood cut out from the Dollar Tree, which I traced and cut out a blue glitter cardstock layer to put on top.

I then got to work cutting out different colors and sizes of snowflakes.

I then die cut Olaf, put him together and placed him inside the circle of snowflakes.

I think he looks pretty happen between those snowflakes.

To finish him, I added some sequins and an organza bow to the top.  He is ready to greet our visitors with a smile.

Now it is your turn.  Please create a project with snowflakes and join the challenge here.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Ski Lodge Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

If you know me, I know anything that has to do with winter.  I love snowmen and decorate with them for Christmas.  I love snow, but have never had to live in it, so I am sure that would change if I had to.  Today is a card for the love of winter.

I created the card with Whip Cream and Chambray Shirt Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then used pattern paper from Bo Bunny to create the layout on the card front.

I then stamped the image from Stay Cozy from Fun Stampers Journey with Black Licorice ink.  I colored the cabins with my Copics.

Happy New Year 2021!

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It is a New Year!  Some say it is great to be past 2020, but we have to think about all the things we learned and things we became aware of that we are thankful for because of the year we had.  2020 was a different year, but we all have something we have learned and can be thankful for.

One thing I am thankful for is crafting.  I have tried new things and been able to be creative in the midst of everything going on. Crafting has been a saving grace and a way to connect with others.  Zooming with friends and crafting was something to look forward to.

I am starting this New Year with a new project to share using my favorite color combo.

I created the card base with Whip Cream Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey and pattern paper from Bo Bunny.  I then die cut the snowman with the die from Spellbinders and put him together.

To finish the card, I added the sentiment from the Fun Stampers Journey Holiday Lights stamp set, stamped with Black Licorice ink on Whip Cream Cardstock, all from Fun Stampers Journey.

I designed this card for two different design teams; Love to Craft Challenge Blog and Simply Create Too.

Come join the challenges with us.  Love to Craft Challenge Blog is Anything Goes and Simply Create Too is your favorite color combo.

Bitten by the Bug 2: Coffee Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is a new challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2 and the challenge is to create something with coffee.   It is my challenge which I am in charge of.

I found this fun cut file at My Scrap Chick and had to make it.

I used some red cardstock I had on hand and the pattern paper is from an old pad of paper I have had from Michael's.

I then stamped the little hot chocolate stamp from Lawn Fawn with Black Licorice ink from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then used the Fun Stampers Journey's Journey Color Burst pencils.

Here is a look at the inside.

Here is a close up of the bow and tag.

Snow Globe Ornament

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share an ornament I created for an ornament swap we had at my monthly crop.

The little jar ornament I found at Dollar tree, as well as the snow.
The little trees I found in the Dollar Spot bins at Target.
I then stamped the reindeer and snowman from the Winter Scene stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey.

To finish the ornament off, I added some snowflake ribbon to the bottom and a bow at the top and stamped the sentiment, Merry Christmas on the banner piece from the same stamp set, which I dies cut with the matching die.

I had fun creating this little ornament.  Stamping does not just have to be on a flat surface.  Think outside the box or in this case, the jar.

Thanks for stopping by.  Leave me a comment please.
