Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #269: Fill in the Blank: _________ July

Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe that half of 2025 is over?  I saw a meme the other day that said we are closer to 2050 than we are to 2000.  It is hard to imagine that.  It is hard to imagine that my summer break is over half over too.  I have so many projects and techniques I want to work on and accomplish, but I have been productive so far.  How are your summer plans going?

Today we have a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.  The challenge is another Fill in the Blank: __________ July.  You can be as creative as you want as you are working through this challenge.  When I think of July, I think of Christmas in July.  I love Christmas, so any reason to work on and celebrate Christmas I am all for it.

The image I played with is from RAM stamps.  Rachelle is an amazing designer and I always love to play with her stamps.

Here is a note from Rachelle Anne Miller:

I am an artist & designer living in the beautiful Adelaide Hills in South Australia with my husband and three amazing children! I love to create and am especially drawn to all things cute. I've worked on children's books, greeting cards, craft supplies, children's room décor, tech accessories, and more. I love to bring out joy and imagination in my art and create something a little different to inspire and make you smile.

Her stamps definitely make me smile.  Here is the card I created using the digital stamp "Christmas Joy".

I used Carta Bella "Christmas" line for the card base.  I then made a shaker for the stamped image and used pieces from my stash.

I colored the images with my Copics:

JOY: R59, R46, R35

Lights: Y13, G28, YR68, BG45

Kangaroo: E79, E57, E37, E34, E31

Koala: BV23, E74, E70

Noses: C9

The little Koala and Kangaroo looks like they are having fun and spreading the JOY of Christmas around.

Now it is your turn.  Leave me a comment and then join the challenge with your own July project to Crafty Gals Corner.

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is a new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner. This month the challenge is Anything Goes with 3+ layers.  I received this adorable digital stamp titled "Ginger Hot Tub Image #230, from SheepSki Designs to create with,

I immediately got my Copics out and started coloring this adorable image.

I used the Authentique "Rejoice" paper pack, so I coordinated my colors with the paper pack.

Copics I used:

Coca: E29, E25, E23

Gingerbreads: E09, E13

Santa Hat: R56, R46

Eyes: E57, E23

Buttons and Cup: G28, G24

Here is a close up of the colored image.

I layered the sentiment boxes that came with the paper pack on the left side.  I then distressed all the way around the card.

I added my image after die cutting it into a circle shape.  I stamped the sentiment from Taylored Expressions.

To finished the card I added some ribbon and twine and then tied on these cute charms I had in my stash from Stampin Up.

I know exactly who is getting this card this year.  Now it is your turn.  Create a project with 3+ layers and share it with us at Crafty Gals Corner.

I would also appreciate if you would leave me a comment.  Thank you.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends

We are one month closer to Christmas and one more card done.  I love Christmas, so Christmas cards are so much fun to create, I created a simple card this month.

The card panel is a foil-it from Taylored Expressions with a matching stencil.  I created the image with Gold foil and then stenciled with Spearmint, Cherry Pop and Cilantro.

To finish the card I added some small gold pearls to the little dots in the image.

Clean and simple, yet striking.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a card I created using some products from Pink Fresh Studios.

The envelope is a die, which I cut out and then stenciled the outline detail with red ink.

I then stamped the gifts and greenery stamps with black ink and stenciled them with the stencil set.  I then die cut them out and created this arrangement with the images.

I stamped and die cut the sentiment and popped it up on the envelope.

I finished the card by adding the envelope to a piece of pine needle paper from my stash.

I also created a "green" one too.

Here is the card created.  I used mostly supplies and product from Lawn Fawn.

The card base is a piece of light blue cardstock from my stash and some pearly cardstock from my stash as well.

I then die cut the birdhouse pieces from the Build a Birdhouse die set from Lawn Fawn and the window from the Winter Wonderland Window die set from Lawn Fawn.  I colored the Christmas lights red and green with the Ohuhu markers.

I then colored the birds from the Winter Birds stamp set from Lawn Fawn using my Ohuhu markers.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from the Winter Birds set with Black ink on white card stock and added it to the card.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

New month and a new Christmas card to share.  I created this card for a swap I was a part of and ended up making 12 of these.  Lots of work, but so worth it.

This card was created with the Spellbinders "Winter Label Motif" die set.  I cut each piece out using paper in my stash and layered them up.

The card base was created using an embossing folder from Stampin Up.  I then used some teal paper and a white grosgrain ribbon to create the bow.

Not a lot of instructions, but a stunning card if I might say.

Now, it is your turn, create a Christmas card and join us for the challenge at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog.  Also, don't forget to leave me a comment.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog- Anything Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is hard to believe that we are upon a new year.  This past Christmas I attended a retreat where the theme was gingerbreads.  I created this card using dies from Doodlebug,

To add some depth, I cut out a frame with a die from Taylored Expressions and a piece of Doodlebug's Gingerbread Kisses line of pattern paper.

I dies cut and sponged the sides of the gingerbread and tree cookies to give them some depth.  I also added some pink ink to Santa's cheeks.

I know Christmas just past, but to be ready for next year, start working on your Christmas cards now and share them with us over at the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Mix It Up Challenge Blog- optional Mixed Media

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy New Year! A new year is upon us and makes me think about all the things I want to learn in the new year. Our challenge this month is one I would love to learn more about- mixed media. Here is the card I created to get my feet wet.

I saw this card on a video from Taylored Expressions and thought I would try it. I loved the colors, which drew me to the card.

I first stamped the Winter Village image and stamped it on the white cardstock with Clear Versamark.  I then used white embossing powder to heat emboss the image.

Then I took my blender brushes and two different blue inks and created the background.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Merriest Christmas stamp set with the darkest blue ink.  I then splattered white paint and some glitter to create the stars.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog- Anything Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Christmas is getting closer.  How are you doing on those Christmas cards and projects?  Today we want to see your Christmas makes over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog.

I had fun creating this Beachy Christmas tag.

I created the base of the tag, using a steel rule die from Spellbinders and white cardstock.  I then used my distress oxide in Tumbled Glass to put some color on the tag.  I then die cut from Kraft paper, using the Lawn Fawn edge dies to create the sand.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set with Black ink.  I also distressed the sand with some brown ink.

To finish the tag, I added some organza ribbon and bakers twine to the top.

Can you believe we are about half way to Christmas?  This year is flying by. So, let's celebrate with a challenge at Crafty Gals Corner titled "Christmas in July".  I am always up for Christmas cards and projects.  Snowmen are my favorite at Christmas time so I was excited that I was able to play with the "Snowman and Birdie Friends" from Conie Fong.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is July and we are half way to the Christmas season. Creating Christmas cards is my favorite thing to do. I created this Christmas card for a swap I was in.

All supplies are from Kindred Stamps. This was a limited edition Christmas set a year ago, so it may not be available, but I had to create this cute castle, with my favorite guy out front.

The castle is made with 15 different pieces of cardstock and glitter cardstock. The garland and Mickey wreath are another two layers.

I stamped and colored the Mickey with my Copics.

To finish the card, I added a bow to the wreath.

I hope you are creating Christmas cards a little at a time throughout the year so you have a nice "stash" by the end of the year.  Share some of them with us at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and leave me a comment too.

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

Christmas all year so you are ready for Christmas this year.  I love Christmas and love to create projects for gifts that will be cherished.  Today I am sharing a project I created as a gift for a dear friend.

This is a 3D shadow box picture of Mary and baby Jesus. I cut the file on my Cricut and placed the 13 layers together with foam strips. The picture does not do justice.

I did try something new on this project.  The words to "Silent Night" are done with the foil tool for the Cricut.  It was amazing to watch it write it. I will definitely be doing that again.

Thank you for stopping by.  Leave me a comment and then share your Christmas projects with us as Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog.
