Hello Crafty Friends,
It has been a whirlwind of start to April! I celebrated my birthday on Saturday and was surprised with a faux fireplace that my brother built by himself. I was in tears because it is beautiful and I have always wanted one.
Then on Sunday was Easter and we shared the day with our family by going to church together, hanging out together and having a big Easter dinner.
Monday, was my last day of my Spring Break and I enjoyed it with some retail therapy and a nap!
Welcome April!
Today I want to share with you the last Easter card I created. I love this one the best.
The background of the card is created using Pan Pastel and the Stained Glass Stencil.
I then stamped the Color Cross on Color Splash paper with Black Licorice. I then colored the cross with Color Splash Pencils.
Adding the Bloom Cluster in Lemon Grass Cardstock, and some flowers and pearls to the middle, I created a work of art.
Supplies Used:
Stamp: Color Cross
Paper: Pretty Amethyst Cardstock, Color Splash Sheets, Lemon Grass Cardstock, Lavender Fusion Cardstock
Ink: Black Licorice
Dies: Color Cross, Bloom Cluster
Punches: Summer Pretties
Stencil: Stained Glass Stencil.
Accessories: Lemon Grass Thread, Pearls
Colored with: Color Splash Pencils and Pan Pastel

Hello Crafty Friends,
Today, is a new week, so you know that means a new layout in my planner.
This week is Easter and Holy Week, so I wanted to do something to celebrate this event.
I used the Color Cross stamp and used the die cut negative to the die that matches to create the purple cross. I colored the red cross with the Color Splash pencils. I then "flicked" some of the red pencil onto the rest of the page. I colored the purple cross with PanPastel. I also stamped some verses from the Color Cross stamp set that were appropriate for Easter.
I hope you have a great Easter week.

Hello crafty friends!
Today, I have a Bible Journaling page I want to share with you.

I love the way this page turned out. I wanted it to be dramatic because of the subject of the verse.
To create this page:
1. I die cut the Color Cross die out of a piece of scrap cardstock. I then held it in place with a piece of washi tape.
2. I then took the Pomegranate Splash PanPastel from the Mother Nature set and created the shadow around the cross.
3. I took the Cranberry Bliss Silk and brushed it on starting at the die cut and working out.
Supplies Used:
Dies: Color Cross
Silk: Cranberry Bliss
PanPastel: Mother Nature

Faith Friday 2/10/17
Welcome to my blog and Faith Friday.
Today I want to share a page from my Bible I created after hearing a great sermon this past Sunday.
We are all familiar with the story of Noah's Ark. God wiped out all of creation except for those on the ark. But, have you ever really stopped to think about the story and how God was feeling at the time. Lots of things have been swimming around in my head since I re-read and heard another sermon on this story this past Sunday.
The one thing that has always stuck with me in this story is the promise that God will never flood the earth again and placed his rainbow in the sky as a covenant to us. That is a great promise!
I want to share with you the page I created:
Supplies Used:
Paper: Bubble Gum Cardstock
Dies: Heart-felt, Cloud Dreams (I used to trace the clouds)
Clouds are colored with PanPastels
Rainbow is colored with Color Splash Pencils

Faith Friday 1/13/17
Today is Friday and that means Faith Friday.
Today I want to share with you a page from my Bible.
I love the picture that is created when you read John 15, about the Father being the Vine. This is such a great reminder that to be fruitful, you have to stay connected to the Father. This helps me to remember the importance of daily reading and studying of my Bible. I hope today's Bible Journaling project encourages you to stay connected as well.
To create the vine, I used some of the leaf stickers from Bible Prints and then drew my own vine with a black pen. I then drew in my own grapes and colored everything with the Color Burst Pencils.
Supplies Used:
Sticker: Bible Prints
Other: Color Burst Pencils

Faith Friday 1/6/17
Welcome to my blog. I am glad you stopped by.
Today is Friday and last year I started Faith Friday's but very quickly was not able to continue because of life being busy. This year, I am going to be better with that.
Today's card is to encourage you to have faith.
One of my goals for this year is to have a little more faith. Faith is hard. Faith takes work each and every day. I saw a graphic on Facebook the other day that said FAITH stands for Forwarding All Issues To Heaven! I thought that was a great way to remember to have faith. I hope that encourages you in your walk.
Supplies Used:
Stamp: Through the Storm
Paper: Cool Pool Cardstock, Black Licorice Cardstock, Summer Romance Pattern Paper
Ink: Black Licorice ink.
Other: River Stone Satin Ribbon, Journey Sequins-Blue Skies.

Journey Blog Hoppers- Faith Journey
Now, let's get to my projects. First let me share the card I created. I started with a Whip Cream Cardstock base. I then cut a piece of Beach Ball, Beach Breeze and Catalina Splash Cardstock for the layers. I then cut a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock. I stuck the Bible Print stickers to the piece of Whip Cream Cardstock.
I then took the Party Pop PanPastels in blues and created the background, right over the stickers. I then took the white PanPastel from the same set and created the highlighted area over the fish.
Next, I stamped the sentiment from Trust the Lord stamp set with Catalina Splash ink on a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock that I matted with a piece of Catalina Splash Cardstock.
I then wrapped a piece of Catalina Splash Satin Ribbon around the one corner of the card and popped this layer up with foam squares.

I then wrapped a piece of Catalina Splash Satin Ribbon around the one corner of the card and popped this layer up with foam squares.
I then wanted to use the same technique on my bible page. Using the Bible Print sticker of the candle, I placed it on the bible page. I then colored the candlestick with the Gold Pencil from the Color Burst pencils. I used a Citrus Cooler, Lemon Drop and Pineapple Smoothie pencil to shade in the flame.
I then used the Mother Nature PanPastels green colors and the Rich SorbetsPanPastel brown color to create the path on the page.
To finish the page, I added some Gold Pan Pastels over the top of the candlestick to add some more sparkle.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you are inspired by my creations. Please don't forget to click the Next button to continue on the hop with Becky Lemire's blog.

Faith Friday 9/2/16
Faith Friday today and I have a special verse to share today.
I love Proverbs 3:5-6 and today's card is this verse.
The base of the card is Cranberry Bliss Cardstock with a layer of Black Licorice Cardstock. I then cut a layer of Bubble Gum Cardstock and stamped the Lots of Love ATS with Cranberry Bliss ink. I folded the corner up and attached it to the card.
I then added a layer of Cranberry Bliss cardstock. I then stamped the "Trust in the Lord" stamp from the Trust the Lord set with Cranberry Bliss ink on Whip Cream cardstock. I added this piece to the card.
Next, I wrapped a piece of Bubble Gum Satin Ribbon around the Cranberry Bliss cardstock piece and tied a knot. I then added a piece of Black Licorice Twine around the knot and tied a Heart button from Journey Color Buttons II set.
To finish the card I took two hearts from the Amazing Accents, added them to my card and colored them with Cranberry Bliss Silk. I also added some Journey Glaze to the heart. I then added some Journey Sparkle Dust to the two red hearts and the main heart. Enjoy!

Today, I have another Faith inspired project to share.
I stamped the mountains from Climbing Mountains with Black Licorice ink. I then used the Rich Sorbet PanPastels to color in the purple mountains, sitting on green grass and clouds with a touch of blue. I then added with the own writing in black pen, the words the mountains.
The verse is Isaiah 54:10 that talks about the love of God being steadfast. The mountains may depart, but God's love for you and me will never change! Isn't that great?!

Today is Faith Friday and I have a Bible Journaling project to share with you today.
I chose to journal John 1:5, using the the set Delightful Light. I stamped the light bulb and the sentiment from God is Light set on the page with Black Licorice ink.
I then used the Summer Days PanPastels from the Rich Sorbet PanPastel palette to color the light bulb and "shine" the light over the page.
I used a colored pencil to color in the cord. I then added some Silver Silk to the filigree and the top of the bulb. Enjoy!

Faith Friday #5
I'm so glad you stopped by today. On Friday's I share a faith based project. Today I have a card I created for a friend that is going through some life issues. Here is what I created:
The card base is made from Bubble Gum Cardstock. I then cut a piece of Summer Romance Pattern Paper in a 4 X 4 square that I rounded the corners on one side. I wrapped a piece of Vintage Lace around this piece and adhered the piece to the card with foam squares.
I then stamped the verse from the Through the Storm set with River Stone Ink on Cool Pool Cardstock that I cut from Journey Ovals Die. I adhered this piece to the card using foam squares.
I then added a piece of Cool Pool Ribbon that I put a knot in. I wrapped a piece of Whip Cream Thread around the knot and tied in a bow. I adhered the bow to the card with Journey Glue Dots.
To finish the card, I added a few of Spring Bloom Minis cut from Bubble Gum Cardstock and Journey Sequins Bloom Time to the middle and a few on the left hand side. Enjoy!

Faith Friday #4
Hello crafters! Today is another faith project. Today I have a fun little project for you. It is a reminder that God is the light and there is no darkness with Him in your life. Here is the card:
The card base is Butter Cream Cardstock, with layers of Black Licorice, River Stone and Lemon Drop Cardstock.
I then cut a top layer and stamped the light shining rays from the Delightful Light stamp set with Rock Candy Ink and the verse from the God is Light stamp set in Black Licorice ink. I then stamped the light bulb from the same set, on a piece of Butter Cream Cardstock and a piece of River Stone Cardstock.
Before I cut the light bulb out, I used the Summer Days PanPastel from the Rich Sorbet PanPastel collection. I started dark in the middle and worked the PanPastel out to create the lighter color towards the outside. I did this same technique on the larger layer with the verse. I added a little color to the edge of the card for texture.
Next, I used foam squares to add the panel to my card. Then, I detail cut the light bulb and the River Stone piece and adhered them together.
Before placing the bulb on the card, I took some Black Licorice Twine and added the cord to the top and wrapped it around the layer. Then I placed the bulb on the card with foam squares.
To finish the card, I added a layer of Journey Glaze to the light bulb for a glass look. Enjoy!

Today is Faith Friday and that means a new faith based project. Today I want to share another page in my Bible.
I used Rich Sorbet PanPastels for the background and the sand. I used Denim Days ink to stamp the anchor and the sentiment. I drew the rope in my hand and colored it with colored pencils.
I added the waves using colored pencils. I love the way it came out. Enjoy!

Faith Friday #2
Today is Faith Friday and that means I have another Faith based project to share.
For a few months I have been researching the whole idea of Bible Journaling. I knew I didn't want to do this type of artwork in my regular, everyday study Bible, so I started researching Bibles. I looked at Bibles online and decided which type I would need. I then bought my first journaling Bible.
With all that said, I finally bought the Bible and was ready to get started. Not quite yet! Something held me back from actually putting ink on to the pages.
I then attended the Fun Stampers Journey Convention and I knew why I had not started yet. Little did I know that the things that Richard had put in the brand new Inspiration Book and Catalog was exactly what I needed.
So, a few weeks later, I have my first Bible Journaling page done. Using my absolute favorite set of stamps and PanPastels, I created a work of art. I am so in love with the way it turned out. Here it is:
Lastly, I wrote in the Fruits of the Spirit, one on each piece of fruit.
I have lots of ideas in my head, so please check back next Friday for another Faith based piece. Enjoy!

I then used the masking technique to get the fruit to look like they were behind and in front of each other. I used the PanPastels in the Rich Sorbet pallette to create the blue background. I used a combination of colored pencils and PanPastels to color the fruit.
Here is a closer look at what the fruit looks like:
