Mix It up Challenge Blog- Fancy Folds Challenge

 Hello Crafty Friends,

New month and a new challenge at Mix it Up Challenge Blog.  We want to see your Fancy Fold cards.  I found this pattern on Pinterest and so had to create it.  I used pattern paper from my stash to create the base of the card.

This is the front of the card.   I used a stamp from Pink and Main stamped in blue ink for the front of the card.

There is a total of 3 panels and 2 folds.

This is the final panel where you would write your message.  I used the ice cream cone stamp from Doodlebug and the sentiment from My Favorite Things.

The middle panel features a die cut ice cream cut with dies from Pink and Main.  I also used an embossing folder from Stampin Up to create the background.

I finished the card by adding some rhinestones to the front,

Now it is your turn.  Create a project with fancy folds and share it with us at Mix it Up Challenge Blog.

Crafty Gals Corner - Challenge # 234 - Lazy Days of Summer

Hello Crafty Friends,

We are in the dog days of summer and we are roasting here in Southern California. I am lucky to be able to work from home in the air conditioner. I hope you are keeping cool where ever you are too.

Our theme this month is the Lazy Days of Summer. Summer is over for me, but I can still dream about what I would like to be doing.

I received this cute "Camping is fun" digital stamp from Pattie Creations to create a card.

Here is the card I created.

I used my Copics to color the image.

Camper: YR09, YR16, YR15

Door and Banner: BG49, BG15

Curtains: G24

Trailer hitch and metal pieces: C7, C5, C3

I then paired the image with "Happy Camper" paper from Doodlebug Designs.

I created a Z fold card.  Here is a look at the inside.

I hope you have found a spark of inspiration and will join the challenge at Crafty Gals Corner and share your summer project.  Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

It's a new month that means we have a new challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  This month I decided to create a easel card.

I love easel cards because the card can be displayed for all to see.

This card was made with some pattern paper I found in my stash, I don't even know where I got it.  I just loved the flowers and garden theme.

When you open the card, it stands like this.

A little trick I did was I used a border of a pattern paper and placed across the bottom of the card inside and this can be used to hold the easel part up.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.  Then create your own project and share it with us at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Love to Craft Challenge- Anything Goes

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It is April 1st and that means we have a new Anything Goes Challenge at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.  Today I have a fun fold card I tried out to share with you.

I love sloths and I love coffee, so this was a fun card to create.  This is the card folded up.  It makes a 4 x 4 square card when it is folded up.

Here is the card laying flat.

I used Echo Park's Coffee pattern paper in 6 x 6 sheets for the pattern paper.  I then colored the sloth with the coffee cup from Kindred Stamps with my Copics.

Here are the two ends of the card.

The sentiments are from the Echo Park paper pack.

I loved this new technique and will probably use it again.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment and then create a new project and share it with us at Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Celebrate You Birthday Card

 Hello Crafty Friends,

I have a fun fold card to share with you today.  I love the layers of this card and the layout is perfect for a man or woman.

Folded it looks like a regular A2 card.  But when you open it up, it can stand on it's own.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey, except the die I used to cut out the word celebrate.  It was from Queen and Company.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Comfort and Joy

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a pretty simple card to share with you, but I love it.  I learned about this fun fold from a recent blog hop I did.

The card base is Cranberry Bliss cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey, cut to A2 size card front.  I then cut a piece off the front that was 2 1/2 inches.

I then rounded the corners of the front flap.  I cut and rounded the corners of the pattern paper from Photo Play I used on the front flap.  I then added some more pattern paper from Photo Play to the bottom of the card.  You can not see it in the picture, but I added a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock at the top of the back panel to be able to write a message.

I then die cut the scallop circle with Journey Scallops from Fun Stampers Journey from Cranberry Bliss Cardstock and a circle with Journey Circles from Fun Stampers Journey, from Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then stamped the sentiment from Kindred Stamps with Cranberry Bliss ink.

To finish the card, I added the bakers twine bow at the top.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.

Happy Halloween Pumpkins

 Hello Crafty Friends,

I have a fun card to share with you today.  This one is a half front card.

The front is made with pattern paper from Authentique and then a crop of cute little jack o' lanterns, which I stamped and cut from Fun Stampers Journey.

The half part comes in when you open the card.

The pumpkins are anchored to the front flap and leaves the whole back for a message.   I stamped the sentiment from the same set from Fun Stampers Journey called Jack O'Lanterns.

A fun and easy card.

Forever Fern Birthday

Hello Crafty Friends,

September is coming to an end and I have one last Forever Fern card to share with you.

I have loved working with this Bundle.  I used the gold elements included with the bundle to hold the sentiment I stamped from Fun Stampers Journey.

I then stamped the inside of the card to  match.

I love this bundle and will use it again.

Love to Craft Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Friends,

August 1st!  Can you believe it? Where did July go?  The first brings a new challenge to Love to Craft Challenge Blog.

Today, I would like to share with you a card I found on Pinterest that I thought was unique and fun.  It is called a Pinwheel card.

So, as you can see, the folded pattern paper makes a pinwheel shape on the front.

The inside looks like this.

I used pattern paper and cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then stamped the sentiments, stamps from Spellbinders, with Black Licorice Ink from Fun Stampers Journey.

Here is where I got the pattern.

I hope you will try it.  It is quite easy and fun too.

Sympathy Dutch Fold Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe that May is almost over?  The month flew by.  I have really enjoyed sharing some fun fold card this month.  I tried several fun folds that I will be using again.

One I really enjoyed making was the dutch fold card.  So today, I am sharing a Sympathy Dutch Fold card.

I shared the first Dutch Door fold back on May 5th, where I used the same paper pack; Dark Botanical Paper pad from Michael's.  This time I used one of the icon pieces and created the sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment from Inside and Out stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey with Black Licorice ink.
I then cut the butterfly from another icon piece and added it to the front.

Here is the inside with the sentiment.

Here is the card standing up.

Double Folded Thank you Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have been sharing fun fold card this month and today I am sharing another one.

Today I am sharing a card that is really more of a pocket with some one layer cards.

The base of the card is created with a double sided piece of pattern paper.  I used a piece of black white pattern paper from Doodlebug to create my card.  I used this pattern to create the base.

I stamped the Thank you on a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock with Black Licorice ink.  I then used foam squares to add it to the Bubble Gum Cardstock and then added that to the card.

Here is the inside cards.

The piece on the right has a pocket so you can add a gift card.
