Crafty Gals Corner- Challenge # 258 Anything Goes with a Twist- Embossing Folder

Hello Crafty Friends,

August is in full swing and soon the kids are going back to school and we all get back on a schedule.  The summer is for relaxing and taking some time to reflect.  This summer was not usual for me, but I still got some time to craft.

One thing I did not do this summer was visit the beach.  The card I created helps me to visit the beach in a way.

The image I chose to work with this month is an image from The Paper Shelter titled "Dipping a Toe".

Here is the card I created with this adorable image.

I started out by creating the background using stencils from Lawn Fawn called Beach Sunset.  I stenciled the sun and water directly on my card base piece.  I then stenciled the palm trees from the same stencil on a different piece of paper and cut them out.  The sand is a piece of cardstock.

I then colored the image with my Copics:

Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00

Hair: E57, E53, E29

Sand: E35, E34, E31

Shell: E37

Water: B05, B02

Floaties: R22, R21, R20, RV29

Inner Tube: RV29, RV25, RV23

Duck: YR68, YR65, Y19, Y15, Y13

Starfish: YR14, YR15

Bikini: R29, R24, R05

Now it is your turn.  Leave me a comment and then create a project and it you want add the twist of using an embossing folder to it.n. Share it with us at Crafty Gals Corner.  Thanks for stopping by,

Crafty Gals Corner- Challenge #241 Make ir Green

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we have a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.  We are in the midst of March, so what better way to celebrate than to celebrate with some Green.  The challenge this month is "Make it Green".

I got to play with this fun Leprechaun from The Paper Shelter.

Here is the card I created:

I haven't made too many rocker cards and since the image was so large, I thought it would be fun to place him on a rocker card.

I colored the image with my Copic Markers:

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge # 236 Halloween Colors

Hello Crafty Friends,

Fall is definitely here in Southern California and I am loving the cooler weather.  It is easy to be able to think about Halloween and Thanksgiving coming up when the weather matches the season.

Today we are starting a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner with a theme of Halloween Colors.

I was able to play with the "Halloween Tea" digital stamp from The Paper Shelter.

Here is the card I created.

The base of the card was created using Cardstock from my stash and pattern paper from Echo Park's "Halloween Party".  I then colored the image with my Copics:

Pumpkins: YR68, YR15, YR12

Inside of the pumpkins: Y15, T13, Y11

Cupcake E47, E44, E43, BV04, BV02, BV01, C1, C0

Plate: C1, C0

Handle: E57, E35, E33, C5, C3

To finish the card, I added a sticker element from the Echo Park "Halloween Party" sticker sheet and a flag.  I then added a baker's twine bow to the flag.

Now it is your turn to create a Halloween project and share it with us at Crafty Gals Corner.

Please leave me a comment before you go.

Crafty Gals Corner

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we have a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.  The challenge is  Easter/Spring I had so much fun creating this Easter card with this sweet image from The Paper Shelter.

Here is the card I created.

This is the first rocker card I have created, but it will definitely be making more.

I started with a 5 1/2 in circle with my Cricut to make the card base.  I then cut a circle a little bit smaller for the blue circle from Doodlebug Designs pattern paper.

I then die cut the scallop pattern paper from Doodlebug Designs with the Scallop Around die set from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then die cut the image with the Journey Circle Die set from Fun Stampers Journey.

I colored the image with my Copics:

Egg: C1 COO

Stripes: V17, V15, V12, RV34, RV32, RVll, BG18, BG15

Bunnies: E55, E53, E51

Butterflies: YR02, E93

Bow Tie: YG13, YG11

Grass: YG17, YG13, YG11

Here is a picture of card folded.

To finish the card, I added the paper flowers from my stash to the bottom of the image.

Now, create a Easter or Spring card and join the challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.
