Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are enjoying Spring where you are at.  The first day of Spring here in Southern California started out with a rainy day.  I love rainy days so I was fine with it.  But today, seems to be a true Spring Day for us.
Today I have a card to celebrate Spring and all the flowers that are blooming around us.

The card base it made from Whip Cream cardstock, with a layer of Whip Cream Cardstock that is embossed with the Pretty Plaid Embossing Folder.  I then layered a Pool Play Cardstock circle that I cut from Journey Circles.
I then stamped the daffodils from Hippity Hoppin Stamp set and Black Licorice ink, two on one piece of Whip Cream cardstock and one on another piece.  I then colored them with Journey Splash pencils and took my blender brush with water to spread the color around.  I detail cut these out and added two flat to the card and one with foam squares to the middle.
I then placed a piece of Create and Bloom Pattern Paper.  I then stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set with Black Licorice ink.  I then fussy cut this out and used a foam square to adhere to the card.
To finish the card, I added a few rhinestones to the card.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey and can be purchased here.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope today finds you doing well and having a great weekend.

Today I want to share with you another card from my July Card Classes.

I just love this flamingo and I had fun coloring her and including her on a card.

I stamped the leaves on the Lemon Grass Card Base.  I then layered up the pieces of paper and added the flamingo after I colored it with Journey Splash pencils.

Instead of coloring the flamingo with the pencils and then taking the Blender Pen with water to the color, I put water into a block and then dipped the pencil in the water and then colored with it.  This is how I got the dark shade of the color.  I then took the Blender Pen and brushed the color over the image.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Tickled Pink, Everyday Script
Paper: Lemon Grass Cardstock, Pool Play Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock, Playful Prints
Ink: Black Licorice, Cranberry Bliss
Tools: Journey Splash Pencils, Blender Pen
Accessories: Sunrise Mix Sequins

Hello Crafty Friends,

It has been a whirlwind of start to April!  I celebrated my birthday on Saturday and was surprised with a faux fireplace that my brother built by himself.  I was in tears because it is beautiful and I have always wanted one.

Then on Sunday was Easter and we shared the day with our family by going to church together, hanging out together and having a big Easter dinner.

Monday, was my last day of my Spring Break and I enjoyed it with some retail therapy and a nap!

Welcome April!

Today I want to share with you the last Easter card I created.  I love this one the best.

The background of the card is created using Pan Pastel and the Stained Glass Stencil.
I then stamped the Color Cross on Color Splash paper with Black Licorice.  I then colored the cross with Color Splash Pencils.
Adding the Bloom Cluster in Lemon Grass Cardstock, and some flowers and pearls to the middle, I created a work of art.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Color Cross
Paper: Pretty Amethyst Cardstock,  Color Splash Sheets, Lemon Grass Cardstock, Lavender Fusion Cardstock
Ink: Black Licorice
Dies: Color Cross, Bloom Cluster
Punches: Summer Pretties
Stencil:  Stained Glass Stencil.
Accessories: Lemon Grass Thread, Pearls
Colored with:  Color Splash Pencils and Pan Pastel

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is the day before Easter and I am so excited to share with you my Easter Egg Carton.   If you have been watching my Instagram page, I did a few sneak peeks of what I was working on.  Now I can reveal the finished product.

I had so much fun creating each egg.  The base of each egg is a plastic egg.
Here are the details:
The green egg is wrapped with Lemon Grass Thread.
The middle egg in the back is decorated with Mother Nature Color Me Washi Tape.  I then colored the tape with Color Splash Pencils and added water to blend the colors.
The mint green egg in the back and the pink egg in the front, was painted with Cool Pool Acrylic Paint and a mix of Sweet Berry and Butter Cream.    I then speckled the outside with Black Licorice Silk.
The two eggs in the front corners was made with squares of Spring Filled Pattern Paper.  I placed White Liner tape on the back of each square.
I then added some Butter Cream cardstock, that I cut with Fringe Shears, for grass.

Have a great Easter!!!

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today, is a new week, so you know that means a new layout in my planner.

This week is Easter and Holy Week, so I wanted to do something to celebrate this event.

I used the Color Cross stamp and used the die cut negative to the die that matches to create the purple cross. I colored the red cross with the Color Splash pencils.  I then "flicked" some of the red pencil onto the rest of the page.  I colored the purple cross with PanPastel.  I also stamped some verses from the Color Cross stamp set that were appropriate for Easter.

I hope you have a great Easter week.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Color Cross
Ink: Black Licorice
Dies: Color Cross
Colored with Color Splash Pencils and Pan Pastels.

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share an one of a kind card I created for our dear friend.

First, there is a story behind the card.  Debbie is my mom's best friend and we have known her for over 30 years.  She comes to our house about every other week and she has come to love my little Princess.  In fact, when we say that "Auntie Debbie" is coming, Princess gets very excited.  So, for Debbie's birthday, I created this card:

I fell in love with this stamp from Fun Stampers Journey.  I loved it even more, when I could color it to look just like my baby.

Of course, Debbie loved it and there will never be one just like it.
I put another personal touch and had Princess "sign it".

I used my Journey Splash Colored Pencils and created a "pool" of color with water on a block.  I then dipped her paw into the color and used it as an ink pad.

Enjoy!

Supplies Used:
Stamp:  Pocket Pup, Cake Time
Paper: Whip Cream Cardstock, Bubble Gum Cardstock, Spring Filled Pattern Paper
Ink: Black Licorice
Silk: Sparkle
Dies:  Border Basics, Heart Film
Accessories:  Heart Sparkle Drops, Cool Pool Satin Ribbon, Whip Cream Thread,

Happy Birthday

Hello crafty friends,

Today is the last day of the 12 days of Deals from Fun STampers Journey.  This is such a great offer, I hope you will take advantage of it.

The card I have today, shows off some of the pattern paper we offer.
I made this card using some Color Splash paper.
I first stamped the Happy Birthday (HB) onto the Color Splash paper with Clear Pigment Ink.  I then dusted the top of the ink with Journey White Embossing powder and dumped off the excess.
Next, I heat up the whole card.  After the embossing powder was good and try and cool, I took my Color Splash pencils and using water from the Blending Brush, I dropped color onto the card and swiped back and forth.
I then took a slightly darker pencil and flicked some color all over the piece.
To finish it off, I added some flicks of Sparkle Silk.

Today's deal is on select paper packs.  You can check it out here.
Supplies Used:
Stamp: HB
Paper: Whip Cream Cardstock, Party Pop Pattern Paper, Color Splash Paper
Ink: Clear Pigment Ink
Silk: Sparkle
Dies: Film Frame
Accessories: Rhinestones, Journey White Embossing powder

Christmas Trees

We are only 3 days away from Christmas and I want to share a card I created for my last class.
The base of the card is Whip Cream Cardstock.  I stamped the tree from Christmas Trim two times on the Whip Cream Cardstock with Black Licorice ink.  I then stamped one on Color Splash paper.  I let the ink dry for a few minutes.
I then added a strip of Fresh Forest and Cranberry Bliss Cardstock to the left side.  I wrapped a piece of Journey Thread Silver around the card.  I then added two pieces of Twinkle trim and tied it to the knot and tied a bow.
I stamped the sentiment from Oh Holy Stamp Set with Pomegranate Splash ink.
Now, back to the Color Splash Tree.  I detail cut the tree out and then colored it with my Journey Color Splash pencils.  I then used the Journey Blending Brush filled with water to move the color around.
To finish the card, I added the tree to the card with foam squares and then added a few Journey Sequins Holiday Elements to the trees.  Enjoy!

Can You Case It? #137

It's Sunday again and you know what that means....
A new Can You Case It? Challenge!  Today we have a color challenge.
Here is the card I created:
The base of the card is a Sweet Pear Cardstock, with a layer of Watermelon Fusion Cardstock.  I then took a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock and stamped the Beautiful Wings image onto the cardstock randomly with River Stone ink.  I then stamped another butterfly on a scrap piece of Whip Cream Cardstock.
Using my Journey Splash pencils, I colored the butterflies.  Bubble Gum for the background butterflies and Sweet Pear and Watermelon Fusion on the main butterfly.  I then took the Fusion Blender Pen, filled with water, and blended the colors a little bit.
I added a River Stone Satin Ribbon bow around the card, and tied the heart button from Journey Color Buttons II with Whip Cream Thread and tied in a bow.
To finish the card, I added some Journey Glaze to the main butterfly and dusted it with Journey Sparkle Dust.  Enjoy!
I hope you will join us this week with the challenge.  Also remember to follow us on Facebook to see upcoming challenges as well.
