Hello Crafty Friends,

I am sure you have noticed that we have a new look with new graphics at Crafty Gals Corner.  I love the cherry blossoms and the fresh new look.  We still are the same group of designers and crafty gals, just with a new fresh look.

Our challenge this month is Fill in the blank: Adorable _________.

The stamp I received to color up this month is from Poladoodle entitled "Party Balloon Bunny".  I think she is adorable and why I chose her for our challenge this month.

Here is the card I created.

My color inspiration came from the Echo Park paper pack "Happy Birthday". Once I had picked the paper, I matched the solid papers and began coloring using my Copic Markers.

Fur: E57, E23, E34
Ears: E23, E34, RV34, RV10
Tutu and Balloon: BV17, BV13, BV02
Flowers: R89, R85, R83
Leaves: G99, G94, YG03, G28, G24

I used a label die from Stampin Up to cut out the bunny for my focal point.  I added some lace from my stash also.  To finish the card, I added the sentiment sticker from the paper pack and some peals from Pink and Main,
She is ready for her next party and she is adorable.

Now it is your turn. Leave me a comment and then go and share an "adorable" project with us over at Crafty Gals Corner.

Hello crafty friends

New month and less than 6 months till Christmas.  How are you doing on being ready with your Christmas cards?  I am still very much behind, but I wanted to share a card I created recently.

The card base is a piece of light blue cardstock from my stash and some pearly cardstock from my stash as well.

I then die cut the birdhouse pieces from the Build a Birdhouse die set from Lawn Fawn and the window from the Winter Wonderland Window die set from Lawn Fawn.  I colored the Christmas lights red and green with the Ohuhu markers.

I then colored the birds from the Winter Birds stamp set from Lawn Fawn using my Ohuhu markers.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from the Winter Birds set with Black ink on white card stock and added it to the card.

I pulled out my Copics and Christmas paper from Carta Bella and got to work. Here is the card I created.

I colored "Finn" with the following Copics:

This month's theme is Anything Goes with the twist: Clean and Simple.

I used some pattern paper from my stash to create the background of my card. I then stamped the deer (retired stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey) onto white cardstock using a brown ink.

I matted this image piece on a piece of brown cardstock and tied a brown twine knot around the whole piece.

I finished the cars by die cutting the letters HB from brown cardstock using the alphabet die set from Queen and Company.

A clean and simple Masculine card for a man who is celebrating a birthday.

Angie's Digital Stamps- Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today we have a new challenge at Angie's Digital Stamps, with a theme anything goes.  September is the month that students are going back to school after a great summer.  In my classroom, I use an owl theme, so I knew I wanted to use Angie's Owl on a limb digital stamp this month.

Here is the card I created.

I used Bountiful One collection from Authentique for the pattern paper and Butter Cream Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey to create the card base.

I then cut out a Badge Label die from Butter Cream Cardstock and detail cut the owl out and popped him up on the card base.

I colored the owl with Copics:

Owl: E39, E37, E35

Branch: E59, E57

Leaves: YG67, YG63, YG61

Beak: YR18

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from the Inside and Out stamp set with Black Licorice both from Fun Stampers Journey.

Happy Birthday Butterflies

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have a crop group here in my local area, where we get together once a month and craft.  With the pandemic, we have not been meeting, so we have been meeting on Zoom.  One of our members has started doing swaps and this month it was birthday cards.  Everyone can use birthday cards, so this swap was fun.

I pinned this card on my Pinterest to do board and I thought this was a great card for my swap.
This is the front of the card.  I stamped the roses onto the Whip Cream Cardstock from a Spellbinders with Rustic Rose and Bubble Gum ink from Fun Stampers Journey.  I then stamped the "Happy Birthday" from Lawn Fawn's Big Scripty Words, with River Stone ink from Fun Stampers Journey.
I then cut the bottom of the card with Stitched Simple Wavy Borders from Lawn Fawn.  I added a small piece of Frank Garcia's Wild and Free pattern paper.
The above picture is a look of  the inside.  To get the butterfly to the front, the wings fold up and go through the slit in the front panel.

I cut the Artful Butterfly from Fun Stampers Journey from River Stone and Bubble Gum cardstock.  I then glued them together and placed them on the card, through the slit.
I then added some Sparkle Silk from Fun Stampers Journey to the wings of the butterfly.  This causes the paper to curl a little too.

Happy Birthday Elephants

Hello Crafty Friends,

Birthday cards are always fun to create.  Birthday cards for kids are even more fun to make.  I recently bought this Lawn Fawn set and saw this idea on Pinterest.  I knew I needed to create this.

The card base is created with Tangerine Fusion Cardstock and pattern paper from Fun Stampers Journey.
I stamped the elephants and colored them with my colored pencils.
The sentiment is stamped from a set from Spellbinders with Black Licorice ink.

Simple card, but a fun card to send to the next kid's birthday.

I'd be lost without you

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a fun card to share with you.  I got the original layout on Pinterest, but after seeing the card, I had to buy this set and create my own card.

I few firsts for me on this card.  First, this is my first slimline card.  I love all the extra space this card gives as well as the unique card you can make.  Second, I just received my first Distress Oxides and had to play with them on the sky area and the grassy areas.  I have to practice with these, but I can see many more ideas and techniques with these in the future.

The stamp set is Car Critters from Lawn Fawn.  The trees are from the Happy Village set, also from Lawn Fawn.
I created the road by cutting each side of a piece of River Stone Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Simple Way Border die.  I then die cut the Fun Stampers In Motion die down the middle for the "track".

I colored all the images with my Copics:
Car: R56, R37, R35, C5,C3, 100, B00, B000
Bears/tree trunks: E27, E23
Trees: YG67, YG17, YG03
Sun: Y15, Y13

I attached the car to a penny and then sandwiched a foam circle between the two pennies and placed them between the "track".

This is a fun interactive card for any age.

Bitten By the Bug 2: Cute Critters

Hello Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2.  We want to see your cute critters.

I bought this cute little svg file from Treasure Box Designs and knew I wanted to use it for this challenge.

I cut the file out with my Cricut and some of my cardstock from my stash.  I then placed the mouse on a strip of Kraft cardstock and he became a belly band on a back of sunflower seeds.

Here is a close up of the drawing part of the mouse.

I followed the picture that is on the website for the placement and drawing.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.  Then create a cute critter project and share it on the website at Bitten By The Bug 2.

Sorry I'm slow

Hello Crafty Friends,

I love sloths.  There I said it.  I think they are cute.  I think after I watched the "Zootopia" movie and Flash, my love for sloths grew.  If you have never seen the movie, I highly recommend it.  It is a cute movie with a great message too.

The card base is created with Butter Cream Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey, a layer of Coastal Village cardstock from Recollections and then a layer of corrugated paper.
I then stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn on Pool Play Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.
I then stamped the sloth with the tree branch and the party hat on Butter Cream Cardstock and colored the image with colored pencils.
I then stamped the inside of the card with a sentiment from the same stamp set.

I would imagine that a sloth would send out birthday cards late.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment.
