Hello Crafty Friends,
It is the first of March! You know what that means, it is time for a new challenge over at the Love to Craft Challenge Blog. The challenge is Anything Goes and I hope you will join us.
I created a special project for this month's design team share.
This is a perpetual calendar. On the month page, you can keep track of important birthdays. You can also use it as a daily calendar, by changing the numbers each day.
This is what the side of the calendar looks like.
And the back, I create a stand for it out of some extra heavy chipboard.
The colors and pattern paper are all a part of the Good Life Collection from Fun Stampers Journey.
I cut the months and dates with my Cricut and the Designer Calendar cartridge.
I bound the whole thing with my Cinch machine.
The Fun Stampers Journey products can be purchased here.

Hello Crafty Friends,
It is the start of a new week and you know what that means. It is time for a new Weekly Spread.
Today I went with a silly Valentine's Day theme.
I used the Love Bandit Stamp set to create my layout this week. I colored him with Color Burst pencils. One thing I really like about this layout is, I changed my "Things to do" icons to hearts this week. I also love the police line up stamp behind him. I masked this stamp with the Love Bandit stamp to get the look I was looking for.
Have a "lovely" day!

Hello Crafty Friends,
Today I want to share another weekly spread in my planner.
As much as I would love for it to snow in Southern California, I am kind of over the cold we have been having. I am looking forward to spring. I love the warmer weather and the colors that spring brings.
This weeks layout is my hope for spring to come soon. It also features a brand new stamp available in the new "Bloom this Way" mini catalog.
Supplies Used:
Stamp: Spring Botanical
Ink: Lemon Drop, Watermelon Fusion, Kiwi Slice

December Calendar
It's December, the month of Christmas. My favorite month of the whole year. I love to decorate for Christmas, the smells of Christmas and the whole history behind Christmas. Joy is a big word that comes to mind when I think about the season. I had to include the word on my calendar.
The base of the photo side of the calendar was made from Candy Apple Cardstock. I layered a piece of our Festive Paper on top (no longer available) and made a mat for my picture using Whip Cream cardstock.
I then die cut from Fresh Forest and Candy Apple Cardstocks, the elements from the Journey Blooms Holiday Set and Snapshot Frames Die sets. I stamped the ornament border on the left side using the Ornament Party stamp set with Black Licorice Ink.
I tied some Black Licorice Journey Twine around the right side piece and then adhered the elements to the pieces with foam squares.

I finished the project off by adding Journey Glaze to the word Joy and Journey Glaze and Journey Sparkle Dust to some of the ornaments. Enjoy the season!

November Calendar
I know I say this almost every month, but can you believe it is November already? Only two more months of 2015. When I think of November I think if fall. So, my calendar had to have fall incorporated into it.
I created the left side panel using a piece of Hazelnut Blend Cardstock for the base and a slightly smaller piece of Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock on top. I then took some Natural Journey Twine and tied it around both pieces and tied a bow. I stamped leaves from the Autumn Days set in Pomegranate Splash, Summer Days and Pumpkin Bread ink on Whip Cream Cardstock. I fussy cut these out and placed them at the bottom. I also die cut the leaf from Candy Apple Cardstock and the word Fall in Summer Days Cardstock from the Snapshot Frames Die.
To create the right hand panel, I stamped the same leaves in the same colors at the bottom of the calendar and a few at the top. I then stamped two leaves in Green Olive and Pomegranate Splash Ink on Whip Cream Cardstock and fussy cut them out and placed them at the top. I then cut a leaf from the Journey Blooms Holiday die set in Summer Days cardstock and placed in the middle.
To finish the project, I traced a small amount of Journey Glaze to the leaves and splattered Bronze Silk all over the calendar side and only the bottom of the left side. Enjoy!

October Calendar
September was a whirlwind and now it is October, can you believe it? Today I want to share my calendar for October.
For the Calendar side, I layered a piece of Rock Candy Cardstock to the top. I used Black Licorice Ink to add some distress to this piece of cardstock. Using Black Licorice ink, I distressed the moon and stamped the baby bat from the Which Witch set. I then placed my Summer Days "moon" cut with Journey Circles to the top using foam squares. I the die cut a bat from the Snapshot Frames die set in Black Licorice Cardstock. I then distressed the whole piece and stamped some more bats on the bottom with Black Licorice Ink. I finished it off by adding some Black Licorice Journey Twine.
For the photo side, I first layered Black Licorice Cardstock with Pretty Pansy cardstock. I then took a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock slightly smaller and stamped the Potions background (retired) in Black Licorice Ink. I then used the Summer Days Ink Pad to distress this. I tied a bow with Black Licorice Journey Twine to the bottom.
I stamped the crow from Haunted Screams in Black Licorice Ink. I fussy cut him out and placed him on the background with foam squares. I add the Boo! cut from the Snapshot Frames in Black Licorice Cardstock.
I finished the whole project off by adding a drop of Journey Glaze to the crow's eye and covered the moon with a thin layer. Enjoy!

August Calendar
Today, I would like to share the calendar I created for August.
When I think of August and summer, I think about BBQ's. My family and I try to get together at least once a month for a BBQ. In the summer, we BBQ a lot. A BBQ is a great time of gathering and sharing a meal as well as conversation.
When creating this calendar, I used the stamp Backyard BBQ set and stamped the BBQ with Black Licorice Ink Pad on Rock Candy Cardstock . After I stamped it, I cut it out and then cut the lid away from the bottom part. I then placed it on my paper in the open position using my pop up adhesive.
Speaking about BBQ's, we are on our way now to one. Have a great summer day! Enjoy!

June is the start of summer, so my calendar for this month needed to reflect that. Summer is not my favorite season, because I will get sunburned. I do like the bright colors that summer brings.

May Calendar
New month, new calendar. May is the month for Mom, so I went with a pretty and floral motif. I chose to use the saying, "You mean the world to me" because my mom means the world to me. She is my best friend and we have been through alot together. When I created this, I had her in mind. The Polaroid die cut is popped on foam squares and the top is open, so you can slip a picture in. I love the way it came out.

February calendar
Today, I have the next installment in my 2015 calendar. This one was fun to create. I cut the heart out of the Candy Apple Cardstock and then attached it to the Sweet Berry Cardstock on the two sides and the bottom. This way, the heart is a picture frame, and you can slide a picture into it.
I also put Journey Glaze on the "Love" cutout, to add dimension. Enjoy!

Another Trade from our meeting
Here is another one of my trades for our Coaches meeting last Saturday. This one was fun to do because I love Christmas.
Christmas is my favorite holiday because of all the things that go into the holiday. I love the smell of my mom baking cookies and breads, the Christmas lights on the house and even cars and trucks this year and all of the seasonal foods and drinks. I got quite addicted to Starbucks' Peppermint Mocha this year. Christmas is also the birth of Christ, which is the reason we celebrate this holiday. I can't even imagine my life without Jesus. He loves me no matter what. We must keep Christ in Christmas, because this is the real rason for the season.
The requirements for this one was to use all FSJ product and Spellbinders dies. I love the mini holiday tree die from Spellbinders. Used on top of the FSJ tree from the Holiday Silouettes set, it makes for a very elegant look, don't you think?
