With Sympathy

Hello Crafty Friends,

Sympathy cards are not the cards we want to make.  They are always the hardest to send too.  Today I want to share the sunburst technique on a simple card.

I used the pattern paper Wild and Free by Frank Garcia to create the sunburst.
The card base and sentiment strip are Butter Cream Cardstock from Fun Stampers Journey.

I created the sunburst background and then cut the whole piece to fit the card front.  I then cut a strip of the Butter Cream Cardstock to stamp the sentiment from Inside and Out stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey and Black Licorice ink, also from Fun Stampers Journey.

I finished the card by adding an image that I cut from an icon page from the collection and adhered it to the card with foam squares.

Sympathy Dutch Fold Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe that May is almost over?  The month flew by.  I have really enjoyed sharing some fun fold card this month.  I tried several fun folds that I will be using again.

One I really enjoyed making was the dutch fold card.  So today, I am sharing a Sympathy Dutch Fold card.

I shared the first Dutch Door fold back on May 5th, where I used the same paper pack; Dark Botanical Paper pad from Michael's.  This time I used one of the icon pieces and created the sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment from Inside and Out stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey with Black Licorice ink.
I then cut the butterfly from another icon piece and added it to the front.

Here is the inside with the sentiment.

Here is the card standing up.

With Sympathy

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are having a great day.  Today I would like to share a Sympathy card.  Sometimes these are the hardest cards to create.

I tried something new on this card.  I used the Sentiment Stacks dies from Queen and Company and some Fun Foam.
The sentiment was first cut with the Purple Fun Foam for the background and then I die cut the words from Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then layered them.  I love the way it looks, but also it gives dimension at the same time.
The succulent on the card was a new technique to me.  I inked up the stamp with Fresh Sage and then took a dauber and sponged a little bit of Lavendar Fusion to the leaves.  Then a stamped the image on Whip Cream Cardstock.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey except the sentiments.
