Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  As I look forward to a new year, I must say that 2013 was a pretty good year.  I can't complain.  I must admit though I am excited for a new year.  2014 is going to be an awesome year!  In tradition from last year, I am choosing a word that I will use throughout the year to keep me focused.  I am thinking about the things that I want to do in the new year and the word that comes to mind is FAITH.  I need to sit back and have FAITH in God that he will take care of everything from the littlest things to big things.  As long as I keep my FAITH strong, I can do anything.
Happy New Year full of love, hope and FAITH!

FSJ Retreat

Wow!  What a weekend I had this past weekend.  I got to spend the weekend in Arizona with the President of FSJ, Richard Garay, his family and Lead Journey Coaches.  We got to make some great projects.  Here is my favorite project:

We got to learn how to use the jewel loom to make bracelets.  This is the beginning stage.  So much fun!

More Ornamental Hostess Set Cards

Ok, so here is two more cards we made at our Fun Stampers Journey Coaches meeting on Saturday.
If you know me, you know that I love anything to do with butterflies, so this card is right up my alley.  The ornamental set is used as the background squares behind the butterfly, which off sets the butterfly very nicely.  All products are Fun Stampers Journey product, except the rhinestone flourish.

This card uses the large medallion stamp that is included in the set.  Stamped in Black Licorice ink and then colored in with a dauber and Oatmeal Cookie Ink, it is a striking card to remind someone to follow their dreams.
Both cards are done using all Fun Stampers Journey products.  If interested in learning more about Fun Stampers Journey, or having a class, or becoming a coach, please let me know.
Until next time....

FSJ Coach's Meeting

Yesterday we had our quarterly meeting for Fun Stampers Journey.  What a great day of getting updates, stamping some great samples and reconnecting with friends.  We are so excited to be able to offer a hostess set free to anyone that has a Journey Showcase in the month of July that reaches $300 or more in retail sales.  The coaches got the set and we created some samples.  Let me share a few:

All three cards were made with the same flower stamp that came from the Hostess set.  Three cards with the same image, just in different colors and arrangements.   I love the idea of making lots of different cards using just one stamp.  What a great way to make your supplies go farther.    I hope you like them.  There is more to come.

Interested in the above projects.  Message me and we can set up a Showcase for you!

Long time no blog

Can you believe that half of the year is over?  I have been busy with a few projects.  Let me show you....

I did an open house at my friend's house and these were the three projects we made.  All product and stamps are from Fun Stamper's Journey!
Then I got an order for "Beatles" notecards.  This is what I came up with after not finding anything in the way of paper in the scrapbooking world.  The music stamp is from Fun Stamper's Journey.  The pictures are from Google.

Then in June, I got to take a class with Julie Nutting and got to meet the talent herself.  She is amazing. She created the dolls that are on the tags above.  She draws them and then has stamps made for them.  They are fun and take you back to paper dolls when you were little.

Well, that's a little of what I have been doing.  Till next time....

Happy New Year!

2013 is here and the start of a new year.  I am always glad to begin a new year with all of the possibilities for more adventures and crafting opportunities.  The new year always seems to lend itself to starting new projects and making resolutions to better ourselves.

This year I am open to the possibility of expanding my wealth of knowledge in paper crafting.  I want to learn new techniques.  I want to create some new ideas on my own.  I want to try new things.

A new idea that I have learned about is the idea of having one word you live by for the year.  This is the word that you focus on during the year.  I was thinking about this "word".  The first word that came to mind was faith.  Faith is believing in things that you can not see.  I feel that I do have faith and know how to have faith in life, so I didn't think that faith should be my "word".  I then got to thinking about what I have been feeling with the new year and in my own life.  I came to the conclusion that I have HOPE that things will work out for the greater good.  I place my HOPE in Jesus for my salvation.  I HOPE that good things will come to me in the coming year.  I HOPE to have many new opportunities and adventures in the new year.  I then went to the dictionary and looked up the word HOPE!  Here is what I found:

1. the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events
will turn out for the best.
2.  a particular instance of this feeling
3.  grounds for this feeling in a particular instance
4. a person or thing in which expectations are centered.
5. something that is hoped for

HOPE is my word for 2013.

I HOPE you will follow me on my journey!
