Happy National Scrapbook Day 2016!!
Today, scrapbooking takes on many different forms from the traditional 12x12 layouts to smaller formats like 6x6 and my personal favorite, mini albums. Whichever form you prefer, we are all story tellers who love to preserve our favorite memories for generations to come.
That is why I love that we take out the first Saturday each May to celebrate this wonderful hobby. As you hang out at crops at your Local Scrapbooking Store or perhaps just have a group of friends over for an in-home crop, I'd like you to enjoy and be inspired by the project I am sharing on my blog today!
My theme for the month of May is May flowers and today's project shows off my love of pink flowers.
I also love it because the Bubble Gum Satin Ribbon looks really good with the paper.
As you can see from this picture, I added some pink flowers images. The pink flowers are from another piece of the Vintage Paris pattern paper. I did this because I did not have any stickers or embellishments that I could add that matched the paper. This is a great way to make your own.
I distressed the flower using Hazelnut Blend ink to give them a softer look. I then added them to my layout using foam squares to add more dimension.
I then added some more little details. I added my title using rub on stickers. I added some pearls throughout the layout and some pearl heart stick pins. They all add some flair to the layout.
We have a great group of bloggers and scrapbookers just like you joining me today so I hope you will take a moment to visit each one.
