Journey Blog Hoppers- Make Amazing

Image may contain: text

Welcome to the Journey Blog Hoppers Hop! We will be Bringing Paper to Life with Amazing Projects.  I'm so happy you're hoppin' along.

If you have arrived here from Carol's blog, you're on the right track.  If not, that's ok too! Just continue the hop and you'll come full circle!

I used this project from the Fun Stampers Journey blog for inspiration:

Notice the matching splatter on the card and tag?  It is very easy to make.  It is made using Pan Pastel and Sparkle Silk.   Just scrap some of the PanPastel onto a block.  Then pour a small amount of Sparkle Silk onto the block and mix them together.  Then pick up the mixture with a Blender Pen and splatter it onto the card.  Fun little technique!

Thank you from stopping by today.  Please be sure to head over to Glenda's blog next.

This month's theme was Thanksgiving.  I love the whole family idea of Thanksgiving, but I love to think about those that I am thankful for more.  So I created some projects to give to those I would like to thanks.
First, I would like to share my card I created.

I created this card using the Harvest Wreath stamp set and Fall Fest prints.

Now, for the project.  I decided to create a "Thankful" banner.

The leaves on the two side panels, I created using the Gel Press.  I first added Pomegranate Splash ink to the Gel press.  Then I dropped a few drops of Citrus Cooler and Dark Roast.  I then used the Brayer to "spread" the colors around.  I then pulled a print.  I used this print to stamp the leaves and cut them out.

Happy Everything Card

Good Morning Crafty Friends,
I hope you are having a wonderful day.  I hope you have big plans for this weekend that involve something crafty.
Today I would like to share with you a card I created for a challenge I am in.
The challenge was to create a card using a sample from the Fun Stampers Journey catalog, but we had to use different colors and stamps.
I chose the image on page 93 and made this from the sketch:

The rose is made by using a drop of Candy Apple Liquid Color on a drop and adding some water to it.  I then stamped the image on Color Splash paper with River Stone ink and then laid the paper in the water mix.  Tada!  Isn't it beautiful?!

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Dear Rose, Greeting Trends
Paper: Bubble Gum Cardstock, Pool Play Cardstock, Lemon Grass Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock, Color Splash
Dies: Journey Ovals, Dear Rose, Heart Strip
Liquid Color: Candy Apple
Ink: River Stone
Accessories: Journey Natural Twine, Rhinestones
