Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is another hot day here in Southern California.  I am spending a lot of time inside and being creative.  Here is a card I created.

I created the "pattern paper" by stamping the Lemon slice multiple times and different ways with Black Licorice ink.  I then stamped the full lemon on Kiwi Slice Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock and Lemon Drop Cardstock.  I cut out each piece and paper pieced the lemon back together.
I wrapped the Black Licorice Gingham ribbon and washi tapes around the card before adhering the layer to the card base.
The finishing touch was I added Journey Glaze to the lemon.

Supplies Used:

Stamp: Make Lemonade
Paper: Kiwi Slice Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock and Lemon Drop Cardstock
Ink: Black Licorice
Accessories: Journey Twine Licorice Twist, Black Licorice Gingham ribbon , Journey Glaze, Fresh Limeade Journey Tape

So let me share with you the project I have created today.

I had this project in my mind when I heard the theme for this blog hop and I am so glad that it came out exactly how I had envisioned.

I started out by creating the box with my Fun Stampers Journey Black Licorice Cardstock and my We are Memory Keepers Punch board.

I then decorated the outside of the camera using Playful Prints for the strip of color.  I created the shaker lens with Whip Cream Cardstock, Clear View Sheets and Star-fetti.  The "picture" coming out was made with the Snapshot Frame Die.  I just slit the front of the box and slipped the "picture" into the hole.

Here is the best part, it is usable.  I created 4 cards with matching envelpes to go inside.

I hope you are inspired to create your own paper camera.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Inside and Out
Paper: Black Licorice Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock, Pool Play Cardstock, Beach Breeze Cardstock, Clear View Sheets, Playful Prints
Dies: Snapshot Frame Die
Accessories: Star-fetti

Be sure to head over to Shannon's Blog.

Here's our line up in case you get lost along the way.

7/11/18

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are doing well.  We are finally on the downward side of our heat wave in So Cal.  It has been unbearably hot here, which makes it hard for me to want to create.  What is your ideal weather to create in?

Today I want to share a masculine card I created for my last class.

To make the chevron at the bottom of the card, I used the chevron die from the Border Details die set and die cut the top layer of Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock, by slipping the layer through the die.  This way, it did not cut it across the bottom, but only cut the chevron.  I then added some pattern paper behind the cut out.

I am loving this truck stamp set.  You will be seeing some more of it in the future.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Hit the Road
Paper: Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock,  Butter Cream Cardstock, Candy Apple Cardstock
Ink: Black Licorice, Dark Roast, Rock Candy, Beach Breeze
Dies: Border Details
Accessories: Natural Journey Twine, Lemon Sparkle Tape

This week has been a hot one here in Southern California.  We have had the air conditioning on a lot with temperatures up to 115 degrees.  It is insane.
I have to say with the house so cool, I have been getting some projects done, which is good.

Today, I want to share with you the 4th card we created at Convention.   It is using the Cottage Bouquet set again, but with a different color theme.

The flowers were stamped with  Catalina Splash and Denim Days ink onto Whip Cream cardstock and then colored with Catalina Splash and Lemon Drop Liquid Color.

Ink: Black Licorice, Denim Days, Catalina Splash, Lemon Grass

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you had a great and safe 4th of July.  I spent the day crafting, so I was in my happy place.

Today I want to share another card we created at Convention using the Flower Tangle Stamp.

To create the background, we stamped the Flower Tangle three times, once on Rich Coral with Rich Coral ink, once on Citrus Cooler with Tangerine Fusion ink and once on Watermelon Fusion with Rich Coral ink.

The sentiment was stamped first with Black Licorice ink and then stamped again slightly to the right and down with Citrus Cooler ink and then Rich Coral ink on top and Watermelon Fusion ink on the bottom.  I love the effect it makes.

Did you notice the baby envelope?  This is a new die and is proving to be a cute addition.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Flower Tangle, Color Pop
Paper: Watermelon Fusion Cardstock, Citrus Cooler Cardstock, Rich Coral Cardstock, Whip Cream cardstock, Turbo Teal Cardstock
Silk: Citrus Cooler
Ink: Tangerine Fusion, Rich Coral, Black Licorice, Watermelon Fusion, Citrus Cooler
Dies: Journey Ovals, Baby Envelope, Bunch of Hearts (Bloom Benefit)
Accessories:  Girls Life Sparkle Tape, Sweet Candy Dots

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share with you a card we created at Convention.  I think this one was my favorite because of the colors and the cute little sentiment.

To create the background, we first used liquid color and dabbed it onto the Whip Cream Cardstock with daubers, in the patterns we wanted.  Once that was dry, we stamped the Flower Tangle background over the top with Beach Breeze Ink Pad.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Flower Tangle, Color Pop
Paper: Black Licorice Cardstock, Whip Cream Cardstock Cardstock, Mirror Silver
Ink: Black Licorice, Beach Breeze
Liquid Color: Sweet Pear, Cool Pool, Banana Cream
Accessories: Whip Cream Thread, Button Up, Journey Glaze
