Snow Globe Ornament

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share an ornament I created for an ornament swap we had at my monthly crop.

The little jar ornament I found at Dollar tree, as well as the snow.
The little trees I found in the Dollar Spot bins at Target.
I then stamped the reindeer and snowman from the Winter Scene stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey.

To finish the ornament off, I added some snowflake ribbon to the bottom and a bow at the top and stamped the sentiment, Merry Christmas on the banner piece from the same stamp set, which I dies cut with the matching die.

I had fun creating this little ornament.  Stamping does not just have to be on a flat surface.  Think outside the box or in this case, the jar.

You make me smile

Hello Crafty Friends,

Wow, we are 10 days into the new year and I am already sick.  Can you believe it?   I am just glad that I am ahead of schedule with projects, etc.  Better to be ahead then to be scrambling at the last minute.  Something I try to stick to in the new year.

With that said, let me share a card I created for my card classes this month.

With winter in full effect in Southern California, I thought a polar bear was needed.

I stamped the bear from Hero Arts on a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock with Black Licorice ink.  I then matted the image and the blue pattern paper I had in my stash onto a piece of Chambray Shirt Cardstock.  I adhered the long strip to the card base after tying a white and silver twine around the piece.
I then adhered the polar bear piece to the card using foam squares.
Lastly, I sprinkled some Sparkle Silk over the whole card and added some Journey Glaze to the eyes of the bears.

All supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey except the twine (Michael's) and the pattern paper.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day!

Happy New Year- Love to Craft Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy New Year!  I hope today finds you doing well and looking forward to the new year.  A new year, a new decade and a new month is always a great restart.

Today, I want to share with you a snowman banner I created for a banner swap we did in our crafty crop group last month.

Here is what the whole banner looks like.  I used the Say Freeze paper pack and my Cricut to create this project.

Here is the first two banner pieces.  I found the words and the snowman within the paper pack.  The words were actually from a border piece of paper.   I then added some snowflakes from my stash.

I used my Cricut to cut out the peppermints in green and white to be used as the background.  I then cut the letters for JOY out with my Cricut and some glitter cardstock.  The bows were from my stash, left over from another project.

This is the last piece of the banner.  Again, I used the border of a piece of the paper pack to cut out this snowman.  I added some more snowflakes from my stash.

I tied the banner together using red tulle.  The recipient loved it and I loved creating it.

Happy New Year!
