CYCI #126- A Die Challenge

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by.  Today I am sharing my very first post as a Design Team member at Can You Case It?
The challenge for this week is: A Die Challenge
hhttp://canyoucaseit.com/?p=3244
I love stars, so I knew exactly what die I wanted to use and with 4th of July coming, it was a no brainer!
I used Cranberry Bliss Cardstock for the base of the card.  I then cut a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock, slightly smaller and used this piece to create the flag.
I die cut from Border Details the strips of stars from Cranberry Bliss Cardstock.  I then die cut Star-Dom from Huckleberry Fusion Cardstock.
After the flag was put together, I splattered Silver Silk over the flag.  I added some Journey Sequins- Special Celebration to the blue star to look like stars.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment "Happy Day" from the set Howdy Notes on Whip Cream Cardstock with Huckleberry Fusion ink.  I then detail cut it out and adhered it to the card with foam squares.  Enjoy!

CYCI # 125- Color Challenge

Today I want to share my entry in the Can You Case It Challenge #
I created this card:
I used Cranberry Bliss Cardstock for the card base.  I then created the layers with Whip Cream, Black Licorice and River Stone Cardstock.  On the River Stone piece, I stamped the sentiment from the  Greeting Trends set  and Pomegranate Splash ink.
I added a piece of Journey Basics: Black and White paper to the bottom half of the card.  I then took a piece of Whip Cream Cardstock across the middle of the card to cover the seam and then wrapped a piece of Vintage Lace over that.
I then stamped the rose from Glass Blooms with Pomegranate Splash ink on Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then stamped over the top with the Ink Splat ATS and Candy Apple Ink.
I detail cut the roses and added them to the card using foam squares, added a layer of Journey Glaze and a dusting of Journey Sparkle Dust.  I then free hand cut leaves from Lemon Grass Cardstock and added them to the card. Enjoy!

Coffee Album- inside pages

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by.  Yesterday I shared the cover of my coffee themed mini-album.  Today I want share some pages from the inside.
I used the image of coffee written with coffee cup stains on the right hand page, to make a pocket.  This way, I could add some extra places for pictures.  I also used lots of brown and off white in the album.
I also had fun finding cute little coffee themed images to put inside.  Enjoy!

Coffee Album-Cover

Today, I want to share a mini-album I created with a coffee theme.  This is the cover.

As you can see, I used a bag from Starbucks to create the cover.  I then added a printed images I found online, "Coffee Girl" to the top.  I then cut out, using my Cricut, the coffee cup in the bottom right corner.  It is hard to see in the picture, but I added Journey Glaze to the coffee part of the cup to add interest.  I also distressed around the whole piece with Hazelnut Blend ink.  Enjoy!

June Blog Hop with Journey Bloggers

Welcome to our Fun Stampers Journey "Anything Goes" Blog Hop! I'm so happy you're hoppin' along! If you arrived here from Sandra Kay Tate's you're on the right track. If not, that's ok too! Just continue the hop and you'll come full circle!
Today, I want to share with you a bridal card I created for an order.  I actually had to make 50 of them, so they had to be simple but elegant.  Here is what I created....
The base of the card is Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then cut another piece of Whip Cream Cardstock, slightly smaller.  Then using the Heart-felt die set to cut out the heart.  I then placed a piece of Summer Romance Pattern Paper behind the heart and popped up the piece with foam squares.
I then die cut the word "Love" from Snapshot Frames in Whip Cream Cardstock and adhered it to the card.
To finish the card, I added a Heart Sparkle Dot next to the word Love and a paper flower to the bottom right corner.  Enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by.  Now, hop on over to Carol Norby's blog and continue the hop.  If you get lost, here is the list of blogs in the hop:

Masculine Birthday Card

Today I am going to share a card I created for my class last month.
The base of the card was created from Hazelnut Blend Cardstock.  I then took a piece of Butter Cream Cardstock and stamped the Hexagon Print onto it with Oatmeal Cookie ink.  I cut a piece of Journey Basics: Neutrals Paper and placed it towards the bottom of the Butter Cream piece.  I adhered this piece to the card.
I then wrapped a piece of Black Licorice Twine around the whole card and tied a knot to the left side of the card.
Next, I took a piece of Butter Cream Cardstock and stamped the Furry Mustache ATS with Hazelnut Blend ink.  I matted this piece on Hazelnut Blend Cardstock.   I added this piece to the card using foam squares.
I then added my sentiment from Cake Time with Hazelnut Blend ink on Butter Cream Cardstock to the bottom.
I finished the card by adding a Star Frame Element (Bloom Benefit) to the card.  Enjoy!

Celebrate You- Journey Girl Necklace

Today, I want to share another piece of Jewelry I created for the Fun Stampers Journey Convention.  Today, all attendees are wearing our "Celebrate You" pink t-shirts, so I created this locket.
I punched the pattern paper from Fun Filled Prints with the 1 1/4 circle punch for my base.  I then punched in Watermelon Fusion and Sweet Berry Cardstock, the Summer Pretties.  I stacked the small Watermelon Fusion flower on top of the Sweet Berry flower.
I then stamped the "Celebrate You" by using two different stamps from the Tag Elements set  and masked out the words I didn't want.  I stamped the words with Sweet Berry Ink on Whip Cream Cardstock.  I then cut the ends into banners and added this to the locket.
To finish the locket, I added a pearl to the center of the flower.  Enjoy!

Pink Zebra Blooms- Journey Girl Jewelry

Today is my team's dress alike day, so I created this locket for them to wear at convention.
My group is named "Pink Zebra Blooms" so I created a locket that went with our name.
The base if the locket is a 1 1/4 in circle punch from the Fun Filled Paper Pack.  I then used the Summer Pretties punch to punch from Watermelon Fusion Cardstock the small flowers.  I added them to the base.
Then I stamped "You are awesome" from the Tag Elements ATS on Whip Cream Cardstock with Black Licorice ink.  I used Sweet Berry ink to distress the edges and then added this to the base.
To finish it, I added small pearls to the flower centers.  Enjoy!

Constant Crafters-Journey Girl Jewelry

Today is the first day of Convention and I am excited!  Today is also the day that we are wearing my upline's shirt.  I made this locket to wear today.
The base is created by punching a 1 1/4 circle from Whip Cream Cardstock and then layering a couple of pieces of Be Cool Journey Tape to the circle and trimming the excess.
I then stamped with Beach Breeze ink, the little scissor emoji from the Journey Emoji Stamp set, on Whip Cream Cardstock, three times.
FYI, the stamp is really suppose to the hair clippers, but I detail cut the extra piece off, to make them look more like crafting scissors.
I then added the base to my locket, added the three scissors and a few pieces of the Blue Skies Journey Sequins, and I am ready to go!

I then stamped the sentiment from the Greeting Trends in Candy Apple Ink.

Julie Nutting Beach Tag

Hello, thanks for stopping by.  Today I want to share with you a tag I made for a retreat I attended last weekend.
Each year, I group of my "crafty" friends get together and go on a retreat.  Each year we do a swap using Julie Nutting dolls on tags.  Here is the tag I created.
Since it so close to summer, I thought I would create a doll visiting the beach.
It is hard to see in the picture, but I created clouds on the Beach Ball blue cardstock for the sky.  I made a template out a scrap piece of cardstock and then using Whip Cream Ink, I sponged around the template to create the clouds.
I think she came out pretty cute.  Enjoy!
